In the Protestant Church: Catholic Diocese Praises Womens' Ordination in Children's Story

Editor: Reminds us of the old saying, "we'll get to you through your children", or the Jesuit adage, "give us a boy till seven, and I'll show you the man" The following was translated from the website, "The Catholic Church in Germany" put out by the German Bishops, thank you very little. It's a children's book which features a visit by two friends of different confessional backgrounds to each others churches.

Lena is protestant. She and Laura are good friends. Last Sunday Lena asked: "Would you like to go with me to Protestant Service?" And Laura said yes.

There was a lady pastor here

Laura and Lena sit in the first bench. The organ began and a woman in a long black robe entered the church. "Is that a nun?", whispered Laura. "No, that is our Pastoress", answered Lena. Laura was astonished and wanted to know: "May women be Pastoresses with you?" "Yes", said Lena, "and they may also mary and have children."

No Sign of the Cross

The Pastoress announced what was new in the church community. Then the organ began to play the entrance hymn: "Where two or three gather in my name, then I am among them." "I know that!", exclaimed Laura. And she sang enthusiastically along. Laura wondered to herself. For the differences of the Services in the Protestant church didn't differ much with the Catholic Church. Actually, she liked some of the differences.

The Profession of Faith [sic]

The community stood up and prayed the Profession of Faith. Laura prayed with. Except for one single word, everything was the same. Catholics pray: "I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church..." in the Protestant church it goes "...the holy christian church..."

The Lord's Supper

.Laura learned that the Protestant Christians like those in the Catholic Church go to the altar and receive a Host. Lena exlained:"For us it isn't called Communion, rather The Lord's Supper. And we don't only receive the bread, rather we drink the win or juice from the chalice." Laura was careful to notice, as the Pastoress said the words of institution that Jesus had spoken at the last supper: "This is my body..." - "This is my blood...". "Just like us", thought Laura. Actually, at the consecration the Pastoress didn't raise the chalice and bread up. And there was no bell.

The Differences

After the Service the Pastoress stood at the church door. She gave everyone leaving a warm shake of the hand and wished them a beautiful Sunday. Laura smiled to her. The Pastoress spoke to her: "I don't think I know you." "I am really Catholic," answered Laura. "But today I'm with Lena here. She is actually my friend." Then Laura asked the Pastoress about the differences between Communion and the Lord's Supper. The Pastoress explained: "Bread and Wine are for us really the body and blood of Christ. But first then, only when someone has eaten the bread and drunk the wine or grape juice. And also only then, when he believes in it." Finally the bread is really ordinary bread. And the chalice has also normal wine or grapjuice. In the Catholic Church bread and wine are really the body and blood of Christ. And when consecrated Hosts are remaining, they are placed in a tabernacle." "I knew that", said Laura. "It is completely gold and looks like a treasure chest." "You may gladly return, if you still have questions", said the Pastoress. "Great", said Laura and departed. But on the next Sunday Lena will come for the first time to the Catholic Church. And then she can meet the Catholic Pastor, Locher, and pester him with questions. That pleased Laura and Lena very much. "

H/t: summorumpontificum.de Where the above was given as an example of Protestantic relativism in connection with Father Finnegan of the Hermeutic of Continuity sojourn to Rome where he writes the following in his report on October 29th :

Yesterday I was given the altar of St Michael the Archangel for Mass at St Peters, and this morning I was pleased to be able to use the altar of St Pius X. Things have changed a lot since Summorum Pontificum there are now plenty of young priests around the Basilica first thing in the morning celebrating according to the usus antiquior. I like to go around a little before saying Mass and attend the consecration of various other Masses before saying my own.

So, the protestant relativism hiding out in German children's lit wasn't a lost cause after all.

Red Mass brunch brings out top state officials

It’s not everyday that the state governor, attorney general and a superior court judge agree to talk to a gathering of judges, lawyers and politicians about the inspiring life of a 16th century Catholic martyr and saint.

But that is exactly what happened Oct. 3 in Anchorage when Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell, State Attorney General Dan Sullivan and Anchorage Superior Court Judge Frank Pfiffner accepted invitations to speak at the annual Red Mass brunch in honor of Saint Thomas More.

Archbishop Mutien of Belgium Threatened by Rabid Homosexuals and the Media

After Archbishop Mutien made some non-controversial statements reflecting Catholic teaching about natural law and the result of sin, a local Attorney, Jean-Marie De Meester, in Belgium accused the Archbishop of "slander" and said he might be under charges for "homophobia". Homosexual radicals have already filed charges against him and it came to nothing earlier this year; talk about bullying. Additionally, the Archbishop's spokesman Juergen Mettepenningen, had a hissy fit and stormed out. This piece of work is already on record for supporting same-sex marriage, so it's not big deal that he's left. Indeed, it's a good thing.

Apparently, Catholic teaching doesn't sell well with the brokers of information in the leftist media, but this man was appointed to the job in July first as the Archbishop's spokesmen. He was an instructor of Systematic Theology at the disgraced University of Louvain, which hasn't been Catholic for years, but has now finally admitted this fact.

The rather mild and neo-conservative Prelate is described as ultra-conservative, haughty and abrasive. It is to be supposed that when your world is defined by Sodomy, you're bound to have poor judgment and leave yourself prone to rash resignations and statements like the following from the Archbishop's "spokesman":

“Archbishop Léonard does not take his leadership duties seriously [i.e, he doesn't agree with you that homosexuals should be able to marry] ,” Mettepenningen added. “But it is above all his surrealist attitude regarding the turmoil stirred up by his remarks that I take too seriously to still support this.”

Concerns about Voter Fraud in Crime Ridden Democratic Districts

[Minnesota, USA] Now's the time to complain about voter fraud when immigrants and others not legally able to vote are liable to exercise that "sacred" duty without the benefit of citizenship. Unfortunately, the mainstream media isn't very concerned about that.

Mark Dayton is awaiting the results of the governors race in downtown Minneapolis at the Hilton. There have been reports of irregularities at the polls and accusations of "overzealous" citizens at the polls trying to stop it. Considering that it's widely reported in the past that the Democrats employ ballot stuffing, it's not surprised that there are citizens who are more than concerned about what's going on.

The NPR report on the radio claimed that voting was going smoothly with some complaints about voter fraud, but they did say that in the high-crime Cedar Riverside Neighborhood, the polling station claims they need "translators". Considering that basic English is required to pass a citizenship examination, it seems strange to expect that a citizen would not know English unless they were naturalized. Despite the inaccuracies about the voting running smoothly, it was laughable in that it featured a woman struggling to vote for Governor. The Election Judge was trying her best to explain that she couldn't vote for two candidates for Governor.

In any case, it's hard to imagine how you could make an informed decision about politics unless you knew the language proficiently. In any event, this is Minnesota. Just to remind, there's a $500 for information leading to the capture of someone committing voter fraud. Seems like there's a high likelihood of finding such people at the polling station at Ceder Riverside with its large Somali population. It goes to some length to explain why Jesuit Educated, Congressperson Keith Ellison was so concerned about campaign buttons with handcuffs on them featuring the Neighborhood Watch organization. Understandably many of his constituents in the inner-city are not sophisticated enough to understand the campaign, and he was even caught lying about it at a press conference, but that's another story.

UK's Legal System Falls Further into Decay

In the Passion, Pontius Pilate offers the crowd a choice to set Christ free, who is innocent, or Barrabas free who was a murderer. The crowd chooses to release Barrabas instead, who then goes free while Christ is sentenced to death.

More recently, the telegraph show a video made by John Hirst, a man convicted for chopping his landlady to pieces with an axe, celebrated the decision in England to allow convicted felons, that is,, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, arsonists and so on the right to vote. His delight was fueled by enjoying a bottle of champagne and a marijuana cigarette. He seemed particularly enthused about the fact that these evil men would be free to exercise their voting rights, as if by some additional madness all the prisons were opened and these men suddenly belched forth from the prisons where they were kept to spread their wickedness through the world unhindered by walls and bars.

It's difficult not to see the parallels between these two events, or the diabolical nature of Mr. Hirst's glee as he ridicules the well-to-do politicians who tried to keep himself and his fellow felons from voting. So, once again, as it was in the time of Jesus Christ, it is democracy at work.

Forest Murmurs: Recollection and Douai Martyrs

  • Editor: Douai is a place in France where once priests were trained to serve the Catholic population of England. It's important to remember them today, on All Saints. Many of them went to their deaths in service to them and many more there were who died for the Catholic Faith on English soil.

Three Jesuit Presidents Support Pro-Abort Politicians

Editor: It's not that we're surprised, we're just surprised that people still send their children, almost criminally in our opinion, to these schools. Parents want to send their children to receive the best education, but it's hard to believe that they want their children to learn and hold the Catholic Faith when they so credulously entrust their children to men who've time and again proved their dishonesty, duplicity, and frankly, wickedness.

[From AQ] Three laymen recently named presidents of Jesuit universities have contributed to candidates who favor legalized abortion, according to federal election records.

David W. Burcham, the new president of Loyola Marymount University, donated $500 to the presidential campaign of John Edwards in 2003 and $250 to the campaign of Rep. Maxine Waters in 2009.

John Hurley, the new president of Canisius College, has donated $4,500 to the campaign of Rep. Brian Higgins since 2004.

Thayne McCulloh, the new president of Gonzaga University, donated $1,500 to Obama for America and the Obama Victory Fund in 2008.

Pope's Angelus Address: The Gift and Beauty of Holiness

Benedict XVI. at the Angelus for All Saints: The goal of the life of a Christian is to be formed by Christ.

Rome [kath.net/as] Holiness means, to be formed by Christ. That is the goal in the life of a Christian. With these words, Pope Benedict XVI addressed today's Feast of All Saints to gathered pilgrims and visitors at St. Peter's Square during the Angelus Prayer.

The Feast of All Souls all were invited to raise their eyes to heaven and consider the fullness of divine life, which men await. As children, Christians receive the even the Grace, to bear with the tests of earthly existence. The Pope lamented the hunger and thirst for justice, incomprehension and the persecutions, to call to recollection that the man who at the same time has the legacy, which were promised to him in the Beatitudes. They reveal "the new picture of the world and of men, which has his beginning in Jesus."

Eternity is not merely the ongoing succession of days, "rather something like the fulfilled moment but more like the supreme moment of satisfaction, in which totality embraces us and we embrace totality—this we can only attempt... " (vgl. Spe salvi, 12) the totality of being, the reality and love.

Gift and Beauty of Holiness is also the society with the holy Souls. Those living Holy ones are not only in an earthly biography, rather also the working of God after death.

Referring to the morrow's All Soul's Feast the Pope explained that the separation of love is painful. Actually the Christian death is a part of the way to the alignment upon God.

"We must not fear him, who in the intercessory prayers of the Church can not break that deep unity, which unites us in Christ." Thereon the Christian remembers the feast of All Souls with a visit to cemeteries.

The Holy Father greeted German speakers with the following words:

"I greet the German speaking pilgrims and visitors with a hearty welcome. Today we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. As it comes to pass, we think on the incredibly large number of people, who have gone before us in God's and their beloveds' hearts with truth and unwavering faith. Their loving witness in life touches us. They are not only examples to us, rather also companions, who pray for us, that we ever grow in union with Christ and the love for men. I wish you all a blessed Feast Day."

American Catholics Are Starting to Wake up About the Democratic Party

Even ordinary Catholics are waking up to the reality that the Democratic National Committee is not only an enemy of the Church, but an enemy to good government as well. They're starting to realize that the "D" in Democrat stands for decline.

Damian Thompson is even reporting on it in UK:

Catholic schools cannot refuse to hire gay teachers, says Brussels

ANDREW RETTMAN

28.10.2010 @ 19:52 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - The European Commission has said that Roman Catholic schools in Poland or elsewhere in the EU cannot refuse to employ gay teachers.

EU justice commissioner Viviane Reding said on Wednesday (26 October) in a written statement that EU law on non-discrimination in the workplace allows religious outfits "to take a person's religion or belief into account, where necessary, when recruiting personnel and to require their personnel to show loyalty to that ethos."

But she added: "While it is difficult to make a statement about a hypothetical case, the commission fails to see how a teacher's sexual orientation could reasonably constitute a genuine and determining occupational requirement."

Vienna's Cathedral Rector Says: The Cuddly Rosary Prayers Are Dying Out

There's a commotion in the Archdiocese of Vienna around Toni Faber: "We are really are closely bound to Rome, but we must go our independent way. Some representatives of the Vatican live in a kind of denial of reality" an "Celibacy may soon be an obsolete model"

Vienna [kath.net] A Commotion around the Vienna Cathedral Rector Toni Faber. In a recent interview with the "Courier" he answered questions put to him about reform in the Church: "We are really closely bound to Rome, but we must go our independent way. Some respresentatives of the Vatican live in a certain denial of reality. It is not enough to manage the apparent decline. The encouraging words of Caridnal Schönborn in the direction of the Church's transparency gives hope. The cuddly prayers of the rosary are dying out."

To the question, whether he thought differently than his other colleagues, the Cathedral Rector said, "I try to live without fear and always to be a response station. It is the same whether it's a sideways glance or there are some scraps thrown. I sense however, both curiosity and jealousy. I really wouldn't like to be a head teacher. But we have to use politics and media. If we don't orient ourselves on faithful customers, then the Church will crumble."

Then Faber spoke dismissively about celibacy. He was cited answering the question, how he felt about celibacy: "Celibacy appears to me and many others as increasingly questionable. he may well be soon an obsolete model."
