Pius Society to Meet Near Rome to Discuss Preamble

Edit: what's interesting to us is the location they chose. They chose a place close to Rome, they didn't chose Switzerland or Menzigen.

In zwei Wochen verhandelt die Bruderschaft

Italy. [kreuz.net] On the 7th and 8th of October the Superior of the Society of St. Pius X will meet in the Italian District office in Albano near Rome, to have discussions about the negotiations with Rome. This was reported by 'dici.org' on Friday. The Superiors were will be secluded from the public to discuss the Dogmatic Preamble they received from the Congregation of the Faith.

Pope Vigil: Archbishop Zollitsch Organizes Event Promoting Homosexuality

Edit: As if to justify the Pope's words about "Overhanging structures", Archbishop Zollitsch steps in to provide evidence for it.

(kreuz.net) Freiburger organizers tried to abuse the Vigil Celebration before the morning Papal Mass for their Old Liberal purposes.

Youth were posed apparently explosive Church-related questions at the Freiburg Mass area where they were gathered.

Balloons and Suggestive Questions

Every youth received a red and a green balloon in his pilgrimage package.

Before the balloons were deployed, however, rhythm exercises were done, to bring those present into order and in agreement.

Finally the moderators posed the following questions of the evening:

- Do you find celibacy meaningful for today?

- Shouldn't the Pope be elected by the people of the Church?

- Are you personally behind the personal morals of the Vatican?

Participating youth reported that the questions were provocative and anti-Roman. They gave the impression of cheap propaganda against the Pope.

Red Balloons for the Homosexuals

The organizers also asked: Do you have anything against lived homosexuality?

Thereafter many youth showed the red balloon.

The moderators commented: "We see a majority of red balloons! I think lived homosexuality is in order."

The responsibility for this scandalous pre-show is Archbishop Robert Zollitsch.

He has promised himself during this Papal visit, that at the next consistorium he will be named a Cardinal.

Pope: In Germany 'There is an Overhang of Structures Against the Spirit'

Edit: this is one of the clearest criticisms directed against the "professional Catholics" of the Official Church we've ever heard. It actually echoes Mathias Mattusek's comments earlier today wherein he suggested the end of the Church tax in Germany as a radical solution. It would certainly put a dent in many of the Old Liberal structures which constantly work against real reform and the work of the Gospel in Germany.

Benedict XVI. directed criticism against lay societies in his speech to the [very anti-Catholic lay board] Central Committee of German Catholics!  The actual crisis in the Church in the Western world is a crisis of Faith.

Freiburg (kath.net) At the meeting with the "Central Committee of German Catholics" Pope Benedict XVI expressed himself very critically over the situation in society and the Church in Germany:  "For years the so-called 'Exposure Programs' have been giving developmental assistance",  said the Pope.  "Those responsible in politics, business and Church life have participated in the concrete daily life for a certain time in Africa, Asia or Latin America.  They put themselves in the life situations of these people, in order to see the world with their own eyes and to learn to act in solidarity."

"Let us imagine that such an exposure-program were established here in Germany.  Experts from distance lands would sally forth to live a week with an average German family.  They would be amazed here, e.g., by the standard of living, the order and the efficiency.  But they would also be confronted also with much poverty through an unaccustomed glance:  poverty, that touches on human relations, and poverty in the religious area."

Benedict XVI. has diagnosed an "overhang of structures projected against the Spirit:  I will add: the actual crisis in the Church in the Western world is a crisis of Faith. If we don't find a real renewal of the Faith, any structural reforms will be ineffective."

Without naming the "dialog process" in the German Church, the Pope stressed the necessity to seek new ways for evangelization, where friendships are lived and also deepened in the regular common prayer before God. There are people, woh in our workplace and in the embrace of our family and circle of acquaintances who talk about these small experiences of the faith and form a new closeness to the Church in society.  To them it is shown more clearly that all this nourishment and live permits, the concrete friendship together and with the Lord.  The binding which takes place in the powerful current of the Eucharist remains important, because separated from Christ we can accomplish nothing [John 15,5]

Dear Brothers and Sisters, may the Lord enlighten us on our way, to be lights to the world together and show our fellow man the way to the source, where their deepest longing for life may be fulfilled."

Vatican Speaker Downplays Father Luther's "Rehabilitation"

This comment from EKD President Nikolaus Schneider is "a bit exaggerated", said Lombardi this Saturday for journalists in Freiburg.

Vatican City (kath.net/KNA) Vatican speaker Federico Lombardi [SJ] has admonished the interpretation, which suggested a >>de facto<< rehabilitation of Martin Luther by Pope Benedict XVI. This suggestion is >>a bit exaggerated<<, said Lombardi on Saturday for journalists in Freiburg. The Advisory President of the Evangelical Church in Germany, Nikolaus Schneider, had [also on FaithWorld] described the words of the Pope at an ecumenical meeting in Erfurt subsequently as >>a de facto rehabilitation<<.

Lombardi said, Benedict XVI. has underlined the >>depth of faith<< of the reformers. For the Pope, the visit to the place where Luther lived and believed, had been very significant. The Head of the Catholic Church had desired this meeting with representatives of the Evangelical Church right in Erfurt, because >>the divine questions of Luther were a central point of the entire trip<<, said the speaker.

Some Insight into Pope Benedict's Interaction with Neocatechumenate

Professor Ratzinger? Too Easy

He tends to pass everyone at the first exam, even those groups and movements that afterward bring him great disappointment. Three case studies: the Neocatechumenals, the monks of Vallechiara, the Heralds of the Gospel

by Sandro Magister

Heralds of the Gospel

ROME, August 26, 2011 – As is their tradition, the Neocatechumenals took part in great numbers at World Youth Day in Madrid.  And they added their own "day after," also according to their tradition.

On the afternoon of Monday, August 22, they gathered in the Plaza de Cibeles in the heart of downtown Madrid,  for the ritual of the "calling" to the priesthood or religious life, with their founder Francisco José  Gómez Argüello, nicknamed "Kiko," acting as anchor, surrounded by the archbishop of Madrid, Antonio María Rouco Varela, together with dozens of other bishops from all over the world.

A Dance Bar in the Stadium

The German Bishops have begun fearfully to drag their otherness through the thorns, that they can oldliberalize themselves with enormous theological jingles.
'Spiegel' Describes Pope as "Unteachable"

(kreuz.net) Germany "one first glance has nothing to do with the streaming world Church, which it showed in Madrid."

This was written by German journalist Matthias Matussek in the recent edition of the bitterly anti-Church German boulevard magazine "Spiegel".

The Magazine was founded after the Second World War by a former Nazi journalist and Lieutenant of the Wehrmacht.

The article appeared with the title" "Rock in the Storm -- Why Catholicism may not become Catholicism."

Theological Opportunism

Matusek insists that Germany reveals a contentious and intriguing official Catholicism.

He described the German Church as the richest and most morose in the world.

For the money it receives from the state "they pay with correlation to the state and often with theological opportunism."

The consequence: "the German Church doesn't propose have a counter world any more, rather, according to Theology professor Hubert Windisch -- >>to a dance bar in a stadium<<."

One Acclimatizes

The Church in Germany takes great pains, to enact their so-called reform agendas according to the five minute plebiscites of talkshows:

"Fearfully, they try to drag their otherness through the thorns, that they >>liberalize<< themselves with enormous theological jingles."

Homosexuals Bullied Former Anglican Archbishop in Catholic Seminary

Edit: One of the accused priests, Monsignor Dempsey, still hasn't been suspended, despite being accused by a very respectable senior Anglican. It's a good thing Msgr. Dempsey wasn't preaching the Catholic faith fearlessly from his pulpit on Sunday or anything, then he'd be in serious trouble.

Tony Wright quotes Catholic politician Senator Xenophon, who asks why the priest couldn't have gone on "vacation" when Archbishop Hepworth brought it to the Church's attention privately.

This caused Catholic Senator Xenophon to name the priest in question, who is receiving quite a few brickbats.

Who's in charge, really?

It will be interesting to note just what Monsignor Dempsey's career has been like. His public statements up to this point would be very revealing.

[The Australian] He says he was raped repeatedly. Two of his accused abusers are dead; the third, a senior Catholic priest, runs a parish in South Australia.

He reported the abuse to the Archdiocese of Adelaide more than four years ago but the church has not stood the priest down.

Contacted by The Weekend Australian yesterday, the priest laughed and said: "I can't discuss matters that are confidential." Asked if he had read Archbishop Hepworth's allegations against him, he giggled and said: "Good try but I won't say anything."

Link here...

Here's a link with some self-serving commentary, some good commentary at politics.ie.

The priest he's accusing, Monsignor Dempsey , is actually denying the charges also here.

Also posted on the aptly named Pinnochio about the Monsignor.

Father Stephen's blog has posted a deffense, here. One of his commenters fumes as follows:

Sick and tired of religious haters on September 16, 2011 at 02:08 said:

1) Why didnt John Hepworth seek the police in the first instance and why didnt he want the Church to take it up to the police? [That's a stupid question, actually. People who ask these sorts of questions are hedging for some reason.]
2) Why hasnt John Hepworth substantiated his allegations, apparently the Church asked him several times to do this. Even now, he hasnt provided any proof of Monsignor Dempsey’s involvement. [Someone's sayso was enough to get rid of Father Corapi.]
3) Why doesnt the good Senator Xenophon admit Hepworth’s allegations not been formal either through the Police or within the Church? The complaint was only made formal February this year.
4) If the good senator and Hepsworth wanted things to proceed quicker then they would have gone to the Police, just as anyone would. [Most of those who are so treated by clerical homosexuals don't go to the police, actually.]
5) The good senator has said that he is concerned about the kids and parishioners. A total B/S. Dempsey has been priest for 40 or so years, has worked with children and vulnerable adult without a stain in his name. The only thing the good senator has done is disrupt the parishioners. [Perhaps he's put the finger on a clevery predator? We'll see.] The good senator clearly has it in for religion and religious people, [Clear in your mind, perhaps.] no matter how good or how well those people have served the community. [Archbishop Hepworth doesn't have it in for religious people, does he? It's not evident that Senator Xenophon has it in for anyone. If anything, he's probably frustrated by the lack of responsiveness on the part of certain parties when it comes to homosexual predation. In any event, community is a good shiboleth to indicate Liberal.]
6) Notice that the cowardly senator wont accuse Monsignor Dempsey without Parliamentary protection.
7) The good senator is abusing his power to undermine and bypass the police and judiciary. He clearly do not believe in the abilities of the police force or the Australian legal system. He also went against the wishes of Hepworth who apparently disnt want the priest named.[It doesn't sound like the Diocese was moving on this, and so needed some encouragement. So there's no evidence for this claim.]

German President and Vice President Receive Communion Unworthily at Papal Mass

Like two willful schoolboys the President and Vice President of the German Bundestag slipped in to unworthily receive Holy Communion. A Commentary

(kreuz.net) Did anyone notice anything unusual?

At yesterday's Papal Mass in the the Berlin Olympia Stadium, Wolfgang Thierse received Communion in the hand from Pope Benedict.

The official has been Vice President of the German Bundestag since 2005.

The CDU- President of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert (62), saw the example and mirrored it. [He's been critical of priestly celibacy]

He threw his prank right in the Pope's face.

Racism as an Archetype

Lammert's ham-fisted speech before the Pope went down well in the German Bundestag.

In that speech he praised -- irrespective of the Nazi racism of recent German history -- racial enlightenment. [Kreuz means here that the Enlightenment figures were themselves racialist.]

From this he continued, leading back to -- glowingly -- "our present understanding of fundamental rights, of the inviolable worth of people and their free rights".

This criminal understanding of the "inviolability" of human worth is measured out in over 100,000 aborted people as victims every year in Germany.

Historical Cynicism

Lammert even had the impudence to put "Christians" in the shoes of Nazi persecution of the Jews, who were supposed to have "looked away or joined in, defamed, persecuted, demoralized, murdered."

Sorry, what did you say?

With the same cynicism he could have put, the Orthodox in Communism, the Buddhists during Pol Pot or the Jewish religions implication in Israeli racism, in the same shoes.

The Ham-fisted Germans Probably Wouldn't Have Done Much Better

Lammert's unintentional jester's speech even promoted the unification of the Church to the protestants by mutating it into protestantism.

Hello Lammert? Have you ever heard about the separation of Church and State?

It is not the job of the president of the Bundestag, to mix in internal Church politics as president.

For the hosts of Pope Benedict XVIth this was putting their foot in it by a fatal somersault.

But the ham-fisted Nazi-mad Germans couldn't have done any better.

The Pope Disappoints Protestant Leaders

Edit: we posted an article from kreuz.net that the Holy Father was going to use Assisi III to attack relativism. A Lutheran minister who is a friend of Pope Benedict says this. Do we see evidence for that here?

It also bears repeating that you can't make concessions to these people. They're going to find something to complain about as long as there's a Pope in Rome and faithful Catholics, however few in number.

[Bloomberg] Pope Benedict XVI disappointed Protestants seeking common ground with Catholics by stressing differences between the two groups, as he continued a four-day journey in his native Germany.

The Evangelical Church of Germany, or EKD, an umbrella group of German Evangelical and Lutheran denominations, had raised the issue of joint communion for married couples of different Christian denominations. Speaking in the eastern city of Erfurt today, the Catholic leader rebuffed expectations by saying that one can’t “think through or negotiate” faith.

“I’d like to point out that this represents a political misunderstanding of faith and ecumenism,” Benedict said in a speech to a joint-faith group in the St. Augustine cloister, where Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism, began his monastic studies in 1505

Bishops Need to Learn How to Rule

Voris says: The Crozier isn't only a tool to bring back a wayward sheep, it's also a weapon to beat the daylights out of wolves. We're pleading with the Bishops to protect the sheep and stop attacking the sheep who cry out for protection.

We need to hear Heaven and Hell are real and all religions are not the same.

Last Flag of the Papal States Returns to the Vatican -- Saved in 1870

(Rome/Vatican) After 144 years the Papal flag, which flew from the city door of the Porta Pia, will return again to the Vatican. The flag was flown from the Aurelian city wall of Rome till the 20th September 1870, as a continuation of a thousand years came to an en, when Italian troops attacked the Church State.

The flag comes with an especially symbolic character for the troops of the Kingdom of Savoy charged the city walls seeking to breach and break through the Pia Porta, built by Michelangelo in the 16th Century.

The Papal flag on the battlement did not fall into the hands of the attackers. They were saved by Prince Ruslpoli. The Troops of the Kingdom of Italy succeeded in their successful incursion through the garden in the Villa of Napoleon Karl Bonaparte, a Grand Nephew of Napoleon I, and Christina Ruspoli. In the garden of the villa was the site of the last defensive battle in the siege at which 19 Papal Zouaves fell. The flag, perforated by numerous bullet holes, was brought to safety by Princess Cristina and since then guarded by the Ruspoli family.

29. September 2011, for the feast of the Papal Gendarmes, Prince Sforza Ruspoli will place the Vatican flag back. The restoration ceremony will take place at 17.30 on the square at the Governorate in Vatican City. After the review of the various units, and the honorary procession and National Anthem of the Papal State, Prince Ruspoli will hand over the Papal flag of the Porta Pia and therefore the last flag of the old Church State, to Cardinal Secretary Tarcicio Bertone. Finally, a commemoration to the fallen will take place where a message from Pope Benedict XVI will be read.

The relationship of the Ruspoli Family with the Popes speaks of a long history, which experienced an intensive period in the 18th century. In 1708 Francesco Maria Ruspoli raised the Ruspoli Regiment with a strength of a thousand men and put it at the service of the Holy see. In 1721 Pope Benedict XIII raised Francesco Maria and his heirs to the Roman Principate. At the end of the 18th century the Ruspoli lent the sum of 800.000 gold scudi to compensate the dues which Napoleon Bonaparte had then levied against the Church.

The current family head, the 84 year old Prince Sforza Ruspoli, organizes every year on the 20th of September with the Militia Christi, a counter demonstration at the Porta Pia, where the Freemasons and other enemies of the Church celebrate the fall of the Church State every year. For this event, he unfurls the rescued Papal flag on the battlements of the city gate to remember the Papal soldiers who lost their lives in defense of the Pope and the Church.

Austrian Bishop: "No Communion for the Divorced and Remarried"

Bischof: „Keine Kommunion für Ehebrecher“

Edit: Bishops are starting to make clear statements to this overrated rebellion in Austria.

Austria [kreuz.net] Bishop Ägidius Zsifkovics of Eisenstadt is going to have "any kinds of experiments". He said this for the Austrian news agency ‘APA’. An external reform must stem from an "inner readiness to renewal". Many themes are "already clarified or subject to rigorous processes". They shall be not be broken off either today or tomorrow, "and they certainly won't be broken off because of negligence of given structures and customary manners." Priests may find ways to offer help to the divorced. But: "It is not in our power that we could just sweep away the indissolubility of marriage and that we are, now at the door to open the entrance for Communion."

Strained Situation for Traditionalist Nuns in SSPX

The incorporation of the Reparative Sisters of Niedaltdorf with the SSPX is not pleasing to all the faithful. For that reason I wrote the Society on 11th August. by Johanna Holzmann
Traditional Sisters of Niedaltdorf

(kreuz.net) Last February the Reparative Sisters of the Holy Ghost in Niedeltdorf joined themselves to the Society.

For that reason the peoples' spirits in our small area was increasingly high, while many in the Society were inclined to be skeptical.

When the esteemed and well loved Father Manfred Jöckel of the Institute of Christ the King had to take leave, enough was enough.

Withdrawal of Incorporation?

The Mother Superior of the Order was asked repeatedly about the incorporation into the Society of St. Pius X.

She finally answered somewhat resignedly that this integration had already been withdrawn by a letter to the Society.

My questions are as follows:

If the explanation of Mother Superior is correct, why can't you read it on the Internet site of the Sisters?

And why then are the Priests of the Society assigned as spiritual advisers?

The District Superior Answers

I made inquiries of the German District Superior of the Society of St. Pius X, Father Franz Schmidberger, about the status of the Sisters.

He sent to me the following answer by e-mail:

"I am pleased to answer your e-mail post of the 16th of August. It is not known to me that the Reparative Sisters have in any way withdrawn their connection with the Priestly Society.

In any event, they are under heavy pressure from Trier.

In any case, for our part, our priests have been effective as spiritual advisers."

Tear Gas and Water Canons at March For Life in Zurich

Edit: Look at all the Anarchists who showed up for this. This is their speed. It's really too bad there weren't an equally sizable detachment of Swiss Jaegers nearby to clean up the mess while the police looked away.

Even in Switzerland the hooligans want to attack the „Marsch für´s Läbe“ [March for Life] with violence.  Only police units allowed for the demonstration to take place.

Zürich (kath.net/pm) Over 1,000 Christians (according to the police it was 1,500 persons) from various churches marched in Zurich's Helvetiaplatz despite threats from autonomous-left cells.  Already int he beginning of the event, hooligans began with their pipes and hooping in concert.  There the professional sound system couldn't even  overpower it on the Helvetianplatz.  Clearly, they were decided to assault the demonstration with violence.  Only decisive and powerful units of the Zurich police could prevent, that the demonstration, in which many children, youth and seniors were participating, the descent to chaos.

The organizers thanked the police at the same time publicly, for their fantastic assistance.  That the costly deployment of dozens of policemen in full gear were necessary, the Pro-lifers found regrettable.  An event which calls for the unlimited defense of life, should not be put on the taxpayer for the cost of police vehicles, water canons and tear gas.  Actually, the guilt for these precautions aren't born by the organizers of the pro-life event, rather the radical anarchists and egoistic partygoers, who have often proven themselves prepared to do violence in the last days. The Pro-Lifers want to march again in the coming year on the 10th year of the time limit to march again. The "Marsch für s’Läbe" 2011 has motivated them to fight in other ways that people in Switzerland have an unlimited right to life from their mother's wombs to their natural grave!

Elderly Canadian Priest Suspended for Being Catholic

Edit:  It could also mean that the lavender mafia has claimed another victim, and yet, there are quite a few paid hucksters out there who give a pass to the inexcusable statements and actions of Old Liberal Bishops and Priests. Pay close attention to the people who line up in favor of suspending this loyal son of the Church, or ignore, this news story. They know who they are, and so should you.

BATHURST, New Brunswick, September 22, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Catholic Diocese of Bathurst, New Brunswick has removed an elderly priest from active ministry after he caused a storm of controversy by denouncing homosexuality, cohabitation, and abortion in an August homily.

85-year-old Fr. Donat Gionet had retired to his home town of Caraquet in June to serve palliative care patients, and now laments that in his declining years he is being forced to celebrate Mass “in secret.”

Fr. Wesley Wade, the diocese’s vicar general, told Radio-Canada that Fr. Gionet’s comments were consistent with Church teaching, but lacked the proper “pastoral” sensitivity.

Holy Father: Freedom is Only in the Good

"In human cooperation freedom does not happen without solidarity.  Whatever is done at the expense of the other is not freedom, rather a culpable act, which impairs the other and also myself. I can only truly develop in freely for myself, if I employ my powers for the good of my fellow man.  That isn't only applicable to the private life, but also for society."

From a speech by Benedict XVI at Bellevue Palace in Berlin.

Collegeville Hires Fire Eater to Attract Religious Vocations

Edit: We'd reported earlier that Collegeville, the Modernist Monastery, is a dying, wilting and withering place, citing Pine Curtain.

Likewise, in attempts to address this understandable decline in vocations, St. John's, when it's not denying that there's a problem in the first place as "Father" Jerome Tupa did recently, it's actually trying to address this problem by hiring a circus performer to make the place more fun and timely.
Top Career for Freemasons

COLLEGEVILLE — A fire-eating monk isn’t something visitors to St. John’s University see every day. After all, not many monks have a circus background.

Brother Paul-Vincent Niebauer has been a fire-eater since his teenage years, but these days he doesn’t perform for just anybody.

Last week, the 59-year-old monk brushed off the old trick in the university’s Great Hall. Students and staff watched as he lit two white marshmallow-looking contraptions on metal skewers and dipped them into his mouth.

Homosexual Jesuit Wants Coverup to Continue

Edit: These types want the truth of what they do and what they truly believe to be hidden and they denounce those who expose their dark deeds.

Germany. Benedict XVI. should express the "us vs. them" mentality in the Church on his trip to Germany. This was proposed by the homosexual Jesuit Klaus Mertes to the German broadcaster 'SWR'. Additionally, the church denouncer would like a statement from the Pope on the theme of 'Denunciation': "Because there are those who operate in the dark and send slanderous statements about fellow Catholics to Rome -- such a thing would finally come to transparent proceedings."

Exiled Pastor of Linz Trusts God in His Persecution

Edit: translated from the exclusive KATH.NET article from yesterday.

Pastor of Kopfing: The Diocese Linz needs a prayer of deliverance

... so that it finally can announce the Gospel of Jesus freely and without fear and relativistic confusion. -- KATH.NET -- Interview with P. Andreas Skoblicki over his dismissal

Linz (kath.net/rn) The firing of the beloved Polish Priest, Andreas Skoblicki from the Diocese of Linz has enraged tempers, as the newspaper "Die Presse" speaks of an "unusually hard decision" of the Bishop of Linz.  In Kopfing itself many faithful are shocked.  A few of the faithful an especially those members of the Parish Council who had supported their Pastor, shed tears at the announcement of the Bishop's decision. Not even copies of the alleged protest letter had brought any of them to the side of the Bishop.  His critics, who had instigated the campaign against him, were hardly to be seen in the parish according to the Polish Pastor.

Things are still unclear in the Parish of Kopfing.  Skoblichi had build a blooming parish with a lot of prayer, a parish, for example, which even has a new youth prayer group.  The Pastor informs KATH.NET that he will leave the Diocese in any case and would like to return to Poland as soon as possible.

KATH.NET:  You have to suddenly leave the Parish of Kopfing within a few days.  What do you say to that?

P Andreas Skoblicki: It is natural for me and for many people in the Parish a complete surprise. Apparently, my period of notice isn't valid. The contract was extended in 2010 by the Diocese of Linz till 2014.

KATH.NET:  The Bishop of Linz Ludwig Schwarz gave the following reason: "Then again he didn't succeed in settling, as many people maintain, objections, conflicts and fears , for that reason it is not  possible to reconcile and live together in Koping, in order to be present as a Christian Community -- even as a sign for the entire public."  What do you say to this accusation?

P. Andreas Skoblicki:  I don't understand this statement.  I haven't had any conflicts with anyone or awakened fears.  My only goal was to profess, "Christ Crucified" and "Christ, God's Power and Wisdom" (1 Cor 1: 23; 25) . Everything else is only ascribed to me. I am very much in wonder about the people who have agitated against me.  I have only pointed out the Ten Commandments and the doctrinal truths of the Church.

I have been  under contract to preach to and exhort the people, the Eucharist as the presence of Lord Jesus, to see His  Body and Blood, and recall on that, that one can not receive Communion in a state of serious sin,  from the earlier Linz Bishop, Maximilian Aichern, and later then of Bishop Schwarz.  I have also always said that the unity of the work of the Holy Ghost is and always the fruit of the presence of Jesus in all hearts of men.

It was very striking what the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomaios I of Constantinople said in Rome on 29 June 2004: "The unity of the Church is not a worldly unity like the unity of states.  The unity, which the churches hope for, is a spiritual quest, which is aimed, to live in common with the spiritual unity with the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.  They will come, if we all will have >>the spirit of Christ<<, >>the Love of Christ<<, >>the true Christ<<, >>the humility of Christ<<, >>the readiness to suffer for Christ<<, and generally, if we are all that, what Christ Himself is, to live, as He Himself lived, or if we even have the longing to live that way, as He expects of us."

We all should also not forget what Lord Jesus said:  "Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake." (Mt 5, 11). This is how the activists have treated me! Never the less, I have a Lydia, a woman from this group, who has even visited the house.  I said to her that, if she believes that I have injured her, that I ask for her forgiveness.  She then told me that she had to think about it.  As a consequence, she continued to collect signatures, even from children as young as 13.

KATH.NET:  In the Diocese of Linz  there happen to be priests who more or less live openly with girlfriends or ignore, more or less de facto, commands from Rome.  Do you have the feeling that one could be fairly treated in the Diocese of Linz as a priest true to Rome?

P. Andreas Skoblicki: I find my answer to this question in the second letter of St. Paul to Timothy: "And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution." (2 Tim 3, 12) Many people speak of Rome. We are not in Rome, rather we must go before the throne of God for judgment. It is not important to me, if I was fairly treated or not, rather that I will learn evermore the providence of God and his will. We read in Hebrews 4, 13: "Neither is there any creature invisible in his sight: but all things are naked and open to his eyes, to whom our speech is."

For that reason we are all adventurers, whether good or bad, we can observe and see, if we are running well or in vain. I know that this is a Grace from God, that is actual primarily after repentance."

KATH.NET: Other Priests who are true to Rome from the Diocese of Linz are now afraid that similar dismissals will take place if certain activists and media start campaigns here. What would you like to say to these priests?

P. Andreas Skoblicki: Stay True! "The disciple is not above the master, nor the slave above his lord." (Mt 10, 24). Just stay true to the Lord Jesus. Follow after Him! He gives us everything that we need and He wants that we listen daily to His voice.

KATH.NET: What plans do you have for the future?

P. Andreas Skoblicki: I want to be holy!!!

KATH.NET: What do you want for the Diocese of Linz?

P. Andreas Skoblicki: That it uses its many possibilities and resources for the good and that and that they finally separate from the load of the past by a prayer of deliverance or expiation and free the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to declare it to the people without fear and relativistic confusion. Otherwise i wish the Diocese that they obey Peter, the Pope. I also thank the Diocese that they allowed me to work here. So I could experience certain conversion and could experience the nearness of God and His mercy.

KATH.NET: Thank you so much for the interview and God's blessings on your future!

Here's Father Skoblicki's email address for solidarity and encouragement. You can send them and he'll receive them at andreas.skoblicki@kath.net.

KATH.NET is planning a Polish trip with P. Andreas Skoblicki in the foreseeable future! If you are interested, e-mail polenreise@kath.net to make a reservation. They'll take you with.

Two Lutheran Pastors Have Become Catholic

National Lutheran Priests from East Germany convert to the Catholic Church by assisting at Holy Eucharist and professing the Nicene Creed.  They are preparing themselves now for the priesthood.

Dresden (kath.net) Two National Lutheran pastors have used their summer vacations to convert to the Catholic Church.  Jochen Schubert, who is married and has a daughter, is leaving the Lutheran rectory of Seelinstädt and has settled in Dresden.  Also Jens Bulisch from Schmölln near Bischofswerda has completed the step.  The 39 year old is married and the father of two children.  This was reported in "Der Sonntag", the weekly paper for the Evangelical Lutheran National Church of Saxony.  Both theologians work as pastoral assistants of the Catholic Diocese of Dresden-Meissen and are preparing also to become Catholic priests.

Bulisch had developed a growing coldness to Christian ritual according to the "Ostthüringer Zeitung".  "Are they celebrating the people themselves or God?",  so said the theologian found himself often asking.  And "Der Sonntag"  mentioned that there were still further theological considerations, some over the understanding of the priestly office, as well as personal experiences with the Catholic Church played a role,  to foster a decision "growing over the years".

Schubert was already known in the Evangelical Community for his love for Catholic traditions, noted the "Ostthüringer Zeitung".  He puts much value on the Liturgy, the use of a black instead of a white cassock and is said to have stressed Catholic feast days like All Saints, usually more than the inner-Evangelical ones.

The conversion to the Roman Catholic Church was consummated on the 25th of July this year, in which they assisted at a Catholic  Holy Mass and professed the Nicean Creed, reported, "Der Sonntag".

The Aberrosexual "Church"

Voris addresses the diabolical charade at Catholic institutions which allow seminaries and religious houses of formation to breed hatred for the Church and its teaching.

'Bad, mean old Traditionalist Catholics pick on the long-suffering worship coordinator "Bruce".'

Voris even encourages  Catholics to withhold donations, and this is not going to be taken lightly.  Expect more ecclesiastical machinations soon.

This Victory of The Society of Saint Pius X is Not a Roman Defeat

Edit: here's a summary of Messa in Latino's analysis of the Preamble by kreuz.net.

"I would like to say that the relativization of the Council, which allows this Preamble, represents an actual victory for the Society."
Bishop Fellay © Piusbruderschaft, dici.org

(kreuz.net) "I can tell you that I personally would have no problem with signing this preamble."

Enrico -- a contributor to the Traditional website 'blog.messainlatino.it' -- affirmed this yesterday.

He refers to the "Dogmatic Preamble", which the Vatican presented to the Priestly Society of St. Pius X for signing.

The Blog Recognizes the Text

The Society General Superior, Msgr Bernard Fellay, is awaiting a canonical proposal since Wednesday.

Enrico commented: "I would like to say that the relativization of the Council, which this Preamble allows, is actually representative of a victory for the Society."

This doesn't constitute a defeat of Rome for him.

Because: "The destruction of the Conciliar "Superdogmas" are put in a win-win situation, from which both can profit."

Enrico summarized the Preamble into two points:

- The Society must respect the Relevance of the Teaching Office.

- The Society must conduct themselves, as they have said, "very respectfully" and collaborate amicably with other parts of the Mystical Body of Christ.

Tremendous Novelty

Enrico addressed the concern that the Preamble's expressed requirement for a "religious submission of the understanding and the intellect' for texts of the ordinary Magisterium, could prohibit criticism of the Pastoral Council.

Actually, Enrico pointed to this as a "tremendous novelty".

Because the Preamble allows "the study and the theological clarification of various expressions and ambiguities in the documents of the Second Vatican council and legitimate discussion of the corresponding teaching office."

The Blog informs that this "legitimate discussion" is not only the interpretation of these documents, rather also allows the expression of them: "This clearly goes beyond a mere hermeneutic."

More than mere Hermeneutic

The article recalled the discussion of the former Prefect of the Congregation of Doctrine and the Faith, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, to the Chilean Bishops on 13. Juli 1988:

"The truth is that this particular Council defined no dogma and deliberately preferred, to remain as a mere pastoral Council on a humble level.

But many use it as if it were transformed into a kind of Suerpdogma, that robs all other meaning."

And: "It it not tolerated that the Councils decisions may be criticized. While at the same time, if ancient rules or even the principle reality of the Faith -- like the corporal virginity of Mary, the bodily Resurrection of Jesus or the immortality of the soul, there is no criticism or it is protested with great reluctance."

Liechtenstein Votes Against Proposed Abortion Law

Bern (kath.net/KNA) In Liechtenstein abortion remains illegal even for the future. At a popular vote on Sunday about 52 percent of the 36,000 citizens voted against the legalization of pregnancy termination, 47.7 percent voted to allow abortion within the first twelve weeks.

In Liechtenstein, abortion is illegal is punishable with up to a year of confinement, if it is undertaken abroad.

Archprince Alois von Liechtenstein had shown himself to be explicitly against the initiative and promised to cast his veto and refused to sign it into law. The reason for his opposition lay in that the proposed form did not merely address fetuses in the first twelve weeks, but could allow for it in cases of handicapped children all the way up to the point of birth.

Even the goevrnment and parliament of Liechtenstein had spoken out against the text of the poll.

Various political parties proposed a further challenge in the text in the event that it were rewritten. Abortion is still punishable in any case, even if only, it is undertaken by Lietchtenstein.

Rome and Moscow Patriarchate Moving Closer Together

Edit: Believe it. It's going to happen.

The Ortodhox Church
The Ortodhox Church

In recent days, the Russian Metropolitan Hilarion has been trying to "unblock" the historic face-to-face meeting with Russia's Patriarch. He may succeed, as long as Ukraine does not become a "Roman" patriarchy

Giacomo Galeazzi Vatican City A direct intervention, an unmediated contact. With his call to the Vatican in recent days, the chairman of the Department for External Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk has placed himself at the forefront of an unexpected attempt to accelerate dealings between the Holy See and the Patriarchate of Moscow. He made a clarification which was not on the agenda, to facilitate the meeting between Benedict XVI and the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Kirill. An historic "face to face" meeting that now seems less distant.

Moscow is laying out its request: if the Vatican resolves the issue of the Ukraine, the historic meeting between the Pope and the Russian Patriarch will finally be able to take place. During the present pontificate, relations have improved considerably between the Church of Rome and the bulk of Orthodoxy, represented by the Russian church. Both are increasingly in agreement about wanting to deal with what they consider to be the prime duty of Christians in Europe: a new evangelization of all those who are far from the faith. It is for this purpose that the Pope has decided to devote a specific Office of the Roman Curia to the new evangelisation.

Danube Cardinal Threatens Austrian Dissidents

Editor: the Archdiocese Canon Lawyer already laid down the ground rules.  Now the disobedient ones have to decide whether they want to risk losing their income, their benefits and their offices.

Try to imagine the Austrian police forcibly removing them from their parish offices by force.  That would be a sight to behold.

What happens to employees who attack the leadership of a corporation?  Usually they quit and go work for other companies.  We understand that the Church of Satan is looking for new hires.

VIENNA | Sat Sep 17, 2011 2:47pm BST
(Reuters) - The head of Vienna's Roman Catholic community ruled out sweeping changes demanded by dissident priests and said there could be "serious conflict" if they defied Church teaching on celibacy or give communion to remarried divorcees.
Vienna Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn said he would not lead his diocese into a schism with leaders in the Vatican by letting priests flout Church rules after a group of priests issued a "Call to Disobedience" manifesto to try to press reform.
In weekend interviews with Austrian radio and television, Schoenborn backed celibacy for priests, limiting ordination to men and preserving marriage as a life-long commitment.

Archbishop of Canterbury Delivers the Smackdown on Prime Minister

Edit: David Cameron is trying to fill the shoes of the Fisherman and run a fast one past the Archbishop of Canterbury, but he's not having it, the exchange as follows:

The Archbishop of Canterbury is not particularly disposed to 'huge rows', but he's not very happy about this proposal. And there are one or two Anglican bishops who are disposed to rows, and one or two more in the Roman Catholic Church, not to mention a couple of thousand in other Christian denominations and religions. Mr Cameron is of the opinion that ‘if our Lord Jesus was around today he would very much be backing a strong agenda on equality and equal rights, and not judging people on their sexuality’.

When he uttered those words, His Grace begged to differ, saying that if Our Lord Jesus were around today, there is nothing at all to suggest that he would be remotely interested in talking about ‘equality’ or ‘rights’: he would be preaching the gospel, in season and out, and calling on people to repent of their sin and prepare for the coming of the Kingdom.

But Mr Cameron doesn't do that kind of Jesus.

Here's the article and some of the back ground. Link is here in a very scathing article by Cramner.

Government to legislate for 'gay marriage'

It has been announced that the Coalition is to press ahead with legislation to permit 'gay marriage'. It is to be preceded by a consultation, but the purpose of such a consultation is unclear when the decision has already been taken a priori to legislate for the change. A consultation which does not consult cannot be a consultation. But then a marriage which does not marry cannot be a marriage.

Linz Bishop Crucifies Pastor for Being too Catholic

Edit: What should be familiar to you, dear reader, is that there is a movement afoot throughout the universal Church to remove and squelch voices that are Catholic on the part of Bishops and administrators who themselves, seem ashamed of Him in their actions and omissions. There's an article from earlier this summer on this particularly showtrial.

This priest has the simple but apparently controversial message that Christ must be born within us.

Remember when Bishop Nourrichard showed up in Thieberville with a Rainbow Chasuble to remove a most loyal and beloved priest who had brought the village back to Christ almost like another Cure de Ars?

It's open season on Catholic priests and they're being destroyed, usually administratively, by their superiors despite managing very successful ministries. Sometimes these Bishops have the benefit of some salacious accusations, other times, there are accusations of financial irregularities.

This is no different, except for the Bishop of Linz, who probably orchestrated a campaign against Father Wagner when he was named Auxiliar Bishop in Linz last year, it is enough that this apparently holy and much loved priest actually teaches the Catholic Faith.

Some traditionalists will complain that this priest favors the Divine Mercy devotion and says the New Mass. Who cares?

This priest doesn't even say the Immemorial Mass of All Ages and the Old Liberals hate him.

His church was full. His parish board stands behind him. He has never celebrated the Old Mass. Actually he had three Old Liberal enemies in his Parish. That was enough for the Bishop Ludwig Schwarz, to plant a knife right in the back of his priest.

Fr. Skoblicki © gloria.tv

(kreuz.net, Kopfing) The scandal-Bishop Ludwig Schwarz of Linz wants to crucify the unconnected and effectively beneficial Pastor of Kopfing, Fr. Andreas Skoblicki, on the 15th of October.

This was reported on the videosite 'gloria.tv'.

The 2.000 population community of Kopfing in Innkreis is located not far from the Bavarian state of Passau.

Father Skloblicki has worked since 2003 in Kopfing. No earlier than last year, the Diocese had extended his service to 2014.

Now the soul thirsty priest has been sent into the desert.

This Polish clergyman has not been accused of having done anything wrong.

On the contrary: he is considered especially soul thirsty. His church is even full on workdays.

According to 'gloria.tv' he's brought young families and youth back to the church.

The Accusation: The Pastor Puts the Faith Above Everything

This summer three Old Liberal Kopfinger retirees started a slander campaign against the priest with the help of the powerful media concerns.

These divisive grey hairs repeated the familiar prayer wheel in countless interviews, that Fr. Skoblicki the pastor is supposedly "divisive".

At the end of August they circulated a letter in Kopfing.

There the central claim was made that Fr. Scoblicki, "holds faith in God as more important than peace in place."

'Gloria.tv' says these Old Liberal Divisives are not practicing Catholics. They don't even hold Catholic teaching.

Bishop Rules Against the Parish Board

The Parish Board of Kopfing is unanimous behind the Pastor.

As a committee for dismissal was held, it responded immediately.

Yesterday delegates from the Parish Board traveled to the 1.400 population village of Geinberg, 44 kilometers to the southwest of Kopfing, where the Bishop is having a visitation.

There they will attempt to turn this unscrupulous Bishop around.

Anti-Catholic Mouthpiece Invokes Vatican II: Don't they Always?

Edit: What does Foxman do for a living?

ADL Urges Vatican To Ensure Anti-Jewish Sect Accepts Teachings Of Vatican II Before They Are Welcomed Back

New York, NY, September 16, 2011 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) urges the Vatican to ensure that a breakaway Catholic sect which teaches anti-Judaism will be required to accept the church's official positive teachings about Jews and Judaism before they are fully accepted back into the Roman Catholic Church.

The Vatican announced earlier this week that in order for The Society of St. Pius X to gain full reconciliation with the church, SSPX must accept some core church teachings, but they have not been made public.

It was unclear from news reports and Vatican statements whether the landmark reforms of the Second Vatican Council and subsequent Vatican teachings -  which reversed nearly 2,000 years of church-based anti-Semitism, repudiated the deicide charge against Jews, and called for positive and respectful interfaith relations - were included among these latest requirements.

Call to Obedience in Austria Grows to 180 Priests and Religious

Edit: never mind the insignificant "Call to Disobedience".  Most of those priests will think twice when their bluff is called.

The media has not covered the "Call to Obedience" at all.

There are about one hundred eighty priests and religious who've signed the "Call to Obedience" and there are a little less than two thousand signers.

Histrionic Gomorrah Bible Finished

Looks Like a Graphic Novel

Edit: You've heard of a Navarre Bible, a Jerusalem Bible, right? Here's the Gomorrah Bible.  You regents and alums from Collegeville never thought you could be made to pay for the transformation of your own culture into a toilette, did you?

As Badger Catholic wrote:

Oil rigs and AIDS? Yeah, I was hoping for something a bit more appropriate too. Too bad, this could have been something really exciting even if it did incorporate modern themes. How does such a fantastic project get so out of touch.

The Poodle: A Most Royal and Warlike Animal

Moustache at Marengo

Edit: an old industrialist once known to the editor told the story of an American Water Spaniel who was his hunting companion.  He maintained that these were the best dogs for most purposes, especially hunting.  They are a kind of Poodle, mid-range in size, fairly high strung, extremely intelligent and loyal to their owners.  While he was hunting in a lowland area, he noticed some geese landing on the edge of the water ahead.  In order to get a better shot, he wanted to get closer to the edge of the water.  So, quietly and silently, he crawled through the tall grass.  He felt something at his boot behind him, and turned to see his faithful dog imitating him, making its way, low to the ground just like his master.

Poodles are used mostly as water dogs for hunting, but they're also excellent war dogs who accompanied the ancient Germans into Europe and even went on Crusade.  It's understandable that people would find comparison to this fine and noble animal, favorable.

Napoleon Bonaparte himself loved this breed.  It's easy to see why:
Known for fierce loyalty, fearlessness and intelligence, the war poodles were known to take part in battles on behalf of their regiments even without specific training for the task. In his memoirs Napoleon praised a poodle who died at the battle of Marengo, licking the face of his fallen Grenadier master. Another poodle named Buff accompanied Lt. Col.Chestmaster during the Peninsula War, while the poodle Moffino got sadly separated from his master while crossing the Berezina River in the Russian campaign. Moffino then traveled from Russia to Italy to find his corporal master, and they were gladly reunited.

One of Napoleon’s enemies, the Duc d’Enghein, took his poodle Mohiloff – a gift from the king of Sweden – with him to prison at the fortress of Vincennes. The dog stayed with his master even as he was shot at dawn and had to be forcibly removed from his grave. The commander of Vincennes adopted Mohiloff, and had him stuffed after he died. A poodle named Moustache became the mascot of a regiment of grenadiers whose standard the dog rescued from the battlefield at Austerlitz. He is also credited with detectiing an Austrian spy and saving a detachment of his company from a surprise attack.

FSSPX is Determining Legal Steps Against German Politician

Volker Beck, Typical German Politician

Stuttgart/Berlin (kathnews) The Society of Saint Pius X is looking into various avenues toward legal steps against Budestag Representative Volker Beck.    He portrayed the Society publicly as a "hardcore-antisemitic and antidemocratic sect" and called it a "scandal" that a "German Pope" would seek to "close ranks"  with their "historical forgetfulness".  Furthermore, Beck addressing the Holy Father said that in showing "patience with the Society of Pius" will also show still more patience for "an ideology of inequality within the Catholic Church".  This ideology degrades "Jews, Muslims, Homosexuals and emancipated women, to people of second class", so says the delegate on his internet site.

The Society Publishes a Statement

For this reasno the Society published a statement on Thursday:  "Volker Beck has demonstrated once again that he isn't mature enough for a pluralistic society like Germany."  Furthermore the proposal continues "whoever reproaches others for fundamentalism, runs the danger, of adopting fundamentalist theses.   That appears to be the case with the convinced Green-ideology of Beck."

One could ignore such defamations, it said in the statement.  "In view of the damage, which such statements in any case may effect in a wide public, the Society of St. Pius X has decided to address a legal media adviser to see how to proceed and attempt further legal steps."  The statement regarding Volker Beck's comments are from Father Andreas Steiner FSSPX, he is responsible for the publicity and media work of the Society in Germany.

"Whoever has himself lost respect for the estimation of the opinions of other citizens, must have their capacity to democracy put to a test.  That will be accomplished in the case of Beck,"  shows the Society to be decided.  The delegate will be expected in the meantime to withdraw his statements and apologize for them.

Bishop Zurek Tightens His Grip on Pro-Life Organization's Money

Edit: That's what this is all about.  It's about maintaining the power of the heavily subsidized official AmChurch and its agenda.

“This is patrimony of the church. It belongs to the church. People give their money over the understanding that it goes to the church or church auspices and programs and ministries.”

Questioning the finances of Pavone’s charities doesn’t mean there’s a crisis, Waldow said.
Shouldn't you at least be Catholic first, if you're going to lay claim to Catholic funds? But there is a crisis of confidence in the Bishop's orthodoxy.  More people should call for accountability from this Bishop and others like him, because they accept money under the auspices of defending and teaching the Catholic truth, and often, they won't bother to stop local "Catholic" Colleges in their Diocese from destroying the Faith of Catholic students, or stop pastors from perpetrating Liturgical abuses and teaching heresy.

Actually, the only time most Bishops are interested in discipline is when they need money and also, coincidentally, are in a position to destroy someone who promotes Catholic teaching.
[amarillo.com] Amarillo’s Roman Catholic bishop called for financial transparency not only from Priests for Life, an anti-abortion group commanding millions in annual contributions, but also from two other nonprofits associated with a popular pro-life priest.

Bishop Patrick J. Zurek has demanded that the Rev. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, produce documentation for how donations have been handled by the Staten Island, N.Y., charity’s affiliates Rachel’s Vineyard and Missionaries of the Gospel of Life, said Monsignor Harold Waldow, vicar of clergy for the Diocese of Amarillo.

Zurek has tethered Pavone indefinitely to Amarillo, cutting him off from full-time pro-life work because of a protracted dispute over financial stewardship accelerated by an apparent clash of wills.

Berlin's Archbishop Defends the SSPX Against Politician

Archbishop Woelki

Germany. Archbishop Rainer Maria Woelki of Berlin has defended the SSPX against the Bundestag-homo, Comrade Volker Beck. 'Katholische Nachrichtenagentur' reported on this. The bugged out Comrade had slandered the Society as a "hardcore anti-Semitic and anti-Democratic Sect". In reality the father of the founder of the Society was murdered by Germans like Volker Beck in the Second World War. Msgr Woelki believes that the talks with the SSPX are important. The unity of the Church is a high priority for the Church. It doesn't mean that the Pope identifies with the views of all of the members individual statements. The homosexually disturbed Beck may apparently criticize the Pope: "would that there was more differentiation and less polemics, would be adequate," said the Archbishop.

Link to kreuz.net....

Meanwhile, the SSPX are considering legal action against Beck, although the complaint will likely rest on some of the principles the SSPX is supposed to be fighting against, like pluralism, for example.

Correction:  sometimes with all the homosexuals running Germany, including the Mayor of Berlin, it gets confusing to say nothing of disconcerting.

Papal Visit Reveals the Ugly German

Cardinal Walter Brandmüller is holding a mirror to the German Pope-hate media. The German Pope-hate delegates must consider the shortfall it will have abroad.

(kreuz.net) The president of the anti-Democratic German 'Green' extremists, Miss Claudia Roth (56) has sent word.

Madame Comrade supports the dim Pope-hate delegates, who plan on staying away for Pope Benedict XVI's speech in the Bundestag.

She said this for the newspaper 'Berliner Morgenpost'.

The paper belongs to the media concern of 'Axel Springer AG' with a yearly income of 2.9 Billion Euro.

They think decadence is reality

With a glance at themes like feminist-ideology and state preferences for the homosexually disturbed the politicians believe that it would do the Pope " a good turn" and will, "taste after coming to Berlin, what reality is in year 2011."

With "Reality 2011" Madame Comrade means the moral, religious, spiritual and social decadence in Germany. The Land belongs has the lowest number of births world wide.

In any even, the lady is going to hear the Papal address at the Bundestag.

She is happy, however, that the -- money heavy media boss inspired --- "lively debate going on".

Courageous Cardinal

German Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, who lives in Rome, has criticized the Pope-hate delegates for the 'Bild' -newspaper:

"The Delegates of the German Bundestag must be conscious of the effect this type of protest will have abroad" -- he admonished.

They will reinforce "the image of the ugly German" by their behavior.

What Distinguishes You From Helmut Schüller, Lord Bishop?

Humbug: "There is no right to any kind of "disobedience", but if one believes that the Church doesn't want blind obedience, there is but an act with solidarity in the midst of wide fields of pastoral possibilities."

(kreuz.net) "I refuse to use the polemical word "disobedience" when it comes to discussing the Pastors' Initiative."

Bishop Egon Kapellari of Graz said this on the 7th of September for the Austrian anti-Church news 'Standard'.

Msgr Kapellari appealed that the whole Church should be viewed thus: "The global Church is anything but at rest."

He bent the ear of the anti-Church magazine: "We would be pleased-- especially when it comes to the media -- 'if the successes received more attention."

Because: "A Church, that is presented as weaker than She is, can not help society any better."

Church schools, kindergartens and hospitals are more sought after than ever before.

But: "The Song of Songs of displeasure is sung in the Church and society."

There is enough cause for tears, but not so much reason to complain.

Only no clarity

"We accept the indissolubility of a sacramental marriage without a doubt" -- explained the Bishop.

Yet at the same time he let loose the following antithesis: "One must proceed with sympathy and sensitivity with the various biographies of remarried divorced."

One may not simply reject someone at the "communion rail", but rather should talk to them individually, in order to heal their wounds.

The 'Standard' did not let themselves be impressed by the Bishop's pastoral drivel:

"But if you know that there are remarried divorced in your diocese receiving Communion, as Bishop, you have to intervene, no?"

Msgr. Kapellari coiled himself up: He has had many discussions with those affected by separation and always seeks them out, to help them, "with boundaries for life and otherwise to learn that they are not strangers in their Church."

Weighty Norms that Aren't Valid

Here the Episcopal chat hit a wall: "What do you make of Helmet Schüller. Are you also "disobedient", if you don't undertake this?" -- asked the newspaper.

Again, Msgr Kapellari turned a pirouette: "There is no right to any kind of "disobedience", but if one believes that the Church doesn't want blind obedience, there is an act with solidarity in the midst of wide fields of pastoral possibilities."

The 'Standard' offered in return that the Faith then gets undermined by "substantial leeway".

Msgr Kapellari flew into humbug:

"In every society there are weighty norms, which one may not allow to be undermined. There are, however, also tensions which are very humanly understandable when it comes to translating this to those affected by the horizon of praxis."

"I won't let myself be locked down"

At the intimation that the media sponsored "Pastors' Intiative" will have foreseeable and longstanding structural consequences, he let the cat out of the sack:

"I won't generally say for sure, if anyone has been led to be counterproductive, that one should, as it is said, be thrown out of the community.

He repeated himself: "I won't let myself be locked down, as to how far Pastor Schüller may go."

He would like "to keep everyone in the boat".

He would like to invite, "that no one should be boring into the hull of the ship, but pay more attention to the wind in the sails."

No Tricks?

The 'Standard" tried to play up the Mini-Pastors' Initiative: "Umpteen priests have signed the Call already."

Msgr Kapellari countered: "The Call only consists of a Board of Directors."

And took it back in the same moment: "But I wouldn't say it was not small."

For still: "But I would like to put it all in perspective, but not with Tricks."
