Pope Francis Has Seriously Curtailed Cardinal Pell's Competency

Pope Francis with Cardinal George Pell

(Rome) In the last months there were rumors circulating, now they are substantiated: the responsibilities of the Australian Cardinal George Pell in the Roman Curia are to be seriously curtailed with a new motu proprio.
As on March 13, 2013, the name of the new Pope was announced and the name "Georgium" was called, many had guessed: The Cardinals had elected not George Pell, but Jorge Mario Bergoglio as the leader of the Catholic Church.
As the only oceanic Cardinal, the then Archbishop of Sydney, a month after the conclave, he slipped into the C8 Council  of cardinal advisers (today C9) established by Pope Francis, to advise the Pope in the reform of the Curia and the guidance of the universal Church.

The unexpected appeal to Rome

On February 24, 2014, Francis even brought him into the Roman Curia and appointed him first Cardinal Prefect of the new  Secretariat on the Economy. The appointment provoked some surprise, since it was known that the traditional friendly Australian was not exactly on the same wavelength with the reigning Pope. When the double Synod against the Family took place, the Cardinal was in the front row of the defenders  of Catholic moral teaching and Sacraments against the  "new Mercy" by Cardinal Walter Kasper preferred by Pope Francis.

Cardinal Pell with Pope Benedict XVI.

Cardinal Pell has indeed risen with his appointment to Rome as head of a dicastry but the decree has meant little more in the Roman Curia than a nice title.
Meanwhile, Francis has begun with the  reorganization of the Australian and Oceanic episcopate.
Cardinal Pell, a man of action, was not one for withdrawing to his office  in Rome wait up his retirement. Known as a good steward  he began to actively undertake what he had been called to do: to build good governance, coordinating in all economic and financial areas. And if it nobody helped, he did it himself.
The other dicasteries did not find this funny. They feared a loss of competence. Especially since some really didn't  wanted someone looking at their cards (financial).
Pell's reputation as "Ratzingerian" did not serve him well in modified Rome.
Before the Cardinal could really get started, intrigues already  translated against him , which in intensity with time increased so much so that in the spring of 2016, dismissal wasn't even excluded by Pell's circle. The rumors got  new sustenance on 8th June, as the cardinal reached the age of 75 and in accordance with canon law had to offer the Pope his resignation. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi SJ answered that day to journalists who asked the question whether the cardinal will continue to work in the Vatican, with the words: "I assume that we would have congratulated him."

Read Tornielli to understand the purpose of the new Motu Proprio

A month later, the Pope issued a motu proprio on July 4,  I beni Temporali (temporal things) on certain economic and financial responsibilities. If you read the daily bulletin of the Vatican press office, one learns nothing, apparently because nothing would be said. To understand what Pope Francis intended in the new Motu Proprio, had to be read in a product of the papal house vaticanist. Andrea Tornielli in Vatican Insider.
Tornielli wrote on Saturday: "The Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See (APSA) will reorganize all the assets."
In 2014, when Pope Francis created the new Vatican Secretariat for the Economy, he meant it to exercise a "super-ministry" of management and control of the entire economic and financial area. With the new motu proprio, Cardinal Pell only remains in a supervisory office. Pope Francis had made, says Tornielli, a "clear and unequivocal separation" between asset management and the exercise of control over the administration. In other words, Cardinal Pell's dicastery is again little more than an office.
The most important statement is to be found in the very last sentence of  Tornielli's article: "At the same time, power over the goods of the Holy See has been made more collegial and focused less in the hands of a single person."
Cardinal Pell had wanted no "concentration of power," but merely wanted to implement the papal motu proprio verbatim, establishing the Economic Secretariat of 2014. Other Curia staff have more weight for Pope Francis than Cardinal Pell.  Apparently those who specularated in 2014 were right that Cardinal Pell was only summoned  to Rome to be left in the cold.

Non Audiatur et Altera Pars: Pope Francis and the Franciscans of the Immaculate

Franciscans of the Immaculate Remain in the Shadows
of the Pontificate of Pope Francis
(Rome) The official news agency of the Catholic Church in Germany (CBA) and Switzerland (KIPA) have entitled the following stories:  "Pope  Insists on New Mass for Franciscans of Immaculata" and "Pope Insists on New Mass."  It is further stated in the reports, "Pope Francis has  rapped the Franciscans of the Immaculata over  decisions of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) and the subsequently developed New Mass."   The pope "warned against departing from  the provisions of Pope Benedict XVI., who had opened up the celebration of the Tridentine Mass again  with a motu proprio of 2007  under certain conditions."
Apart from the peculiar admission that a new Mass form was "developed" that after the Council, the reports are based on the hoax, that the Franciscans of the Immaculate had deviated from "requirements" of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI.  and thus forged a special path, which had made the intervention of Rome necessary. The Franciscans of the Immaculate were pastorally speaking a perfect bi-ritual Order. Therefore, they were entrusted with the care of parishes and places of pilgrimage not only in Italy. The reports confirm, however, that it is actually the Old Rite, which allowed the Congregation of Religious to  go berserk against the young order with the approval of the Pope.
Pope Francis remarked with a raised index finger several times directly or indirectly against traditional Catholics with the accusation of "ideologically" motivated action. However, the case of the Franciscans of the Immaculate however, calls into question   question just who is "ideologically"  motivated. The traditional site Corrispondenza Romana published a revealing background report on the papal audience, we document here. The intertitles are from the editorial staff.

The "Party" Commissar Volpi in Audience with the Pope

Pope Francis meets Franciscans of the Immaculate Conception, but a Audiatur et altera pars looks different
The meeting of the Pope with the young students (and it was a smaller number of young people) of the Franciscans of the Immaculate Conception took place on the morning of last June 10 in the chapel of Santa Marta.  The message was only on published on the 23rd of June with an article by Andrea Tornielli and from some photos posted on Facebook, while the Vatican media ignored it completely. Why was the announcement  made only 13 days later? There are numerous doubts around the source, which only become thicker the closer one looks.

Meticulously Selected Participants, Who did not Know Who They Were Meeting

The participants in the private audience with the Holy Father were meticulously selected, as it were hand-picked, but without knowing until the day itself, where they were to go. Only after they were directed towards St. Peter's, were they informed that they would meet the Pope. It was said they were making a pilgrimage to St. Peter's, others wanted to know that there was a special meeting with the Commissioner. But almost none of the brothers cited   (the novices, the remaining seminarians and some led by the rebellious priests and the leading professed) knew where you really went this morning.
Surprise: After a few minutes of waiting they stood before the Holy Father. Shortly before, the  master of ceremonies and actual architect of the meeting, Father Angelo Maria Gaeta 1 , with the Commissioner, gave directions on how  behave in the presence of the Pope: no spontaneous questions, obedient listening,  at the end of a quick kiss on the hand without stopping. The Pope was very busy. The day before, he had canceled his audience due to illness.

Franciscans of the Immaculate: Vatican Attempts to Reassure -- Reasoning Not Convincing

(Rome) The unrest has not remained hidden among Traditional Catholics from the Vatican, that has developed from the treatment of the Traditional Order of the Franciscans of the Immaculate. The need to intervene and reassure. However, the justification offered here is hard to believe.

. The exemplary Franciscans of the Immaculata, which was canonically erected in 1990, will, by a decree dated the 11th of July be placed under provisional administration by the Congregation of Religious. It was also arranged that all the priests, would celebrate the liturgy according to the New Rite. It is a serious attack against the right granted by Summorum Pontificum and Pope Benedict XVI. for any priest to celebrate Mass in one of the two forms of the Roman rite. The protest among Traditional Catholics is very strong. The Vatican is therefore committed to de-escalation.

Vatican spokesman Lombardi said today that the appointment of an Apostolic Commissioner for the Franciscans of the Immaculate, "is for the life and leadership of the congregation as a whole not only liturgical questions and concerns."

According to the Vatican spokesman, the repeal of the existing provisions, of religious orders internally to maintain the Old Rite and celebrate for pastoral outreach in both the New and the Old Rite, is "not" against the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI. The religious congregation ordered with the adoption of the approbation of Pope Francis, a decree that all priests from are obliged to celebrate only the New Rite from the 11th of August. "Possible" celebrations in the Old Rite were declared subject to approval, each priest and every community must individually apply for it.

According to Vatican spokesman Lombardi, this was not the intention of this Decree, to contradict the provisions of Summorum Pontificum. It's "only" in order to respond to "specific problems and tensions" that had arisen within the Order regarding questions of the Rite.

The "aim" Benedict XVI., had established the Motu Proprio of 2007, "To overcome tensions and not to create them", says Lombardi. The unilateral imposition of the New Rite against the validly enacted decisions of the Order for the Old Rite and the so-called bi-ritualism in pastoral care, does not explain the reasoning of the Vatican spokesman.

Summorum Pontificum: A Source of Priests and Religious Vocations -- Interview With Abbé Claude Barthe

(Rome)  From the 1st to the 3rd of November the first great international pilgrimage of Tradition since the promulgation of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum to Rome will take place.   The pastoral assistant of the pilgrimage is the French priest, Abbé Claude Barthe.  During the International Pilgrimage the Immemorial Mass of All Ages will be celebrated by three high dignitaries of the Roman Curia,  Antonio Cardinal Canizares Llovera, Walter Cardinal Brandmueller and Curial Bishop Giuseppe Sciacca, the General Secretary of the Governorate of Vatican City.  The Pontifical High Mass at the conclusion of the Pilgrimage in the St. Peter's Basilica will be celebrated by Cardinal Canizares.

Abbé Barthe who is one of the driving forces for the execution of the Una cum Papa Nostro Pilgrimage and gave Alberto Carosa of Vatican Insider the following interview.

Abbé, there are requests of your person from several sides. Would give us a brief resume of your education and vocational path?

I was born in Fleurance in 1947 in south western France.  My priestly vocation went back to my Catholic childhood. I studied at the Catholic Institute of Toulouse as a Diocesan seminarian.  The post-Concliar Revolution forced me therefore to leave the seminary.  I then received a degree in History and Jurisprudence.  I felt so bound tot he traditional liturgy, that I entered into the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X in Econe.  In 1970 I was ordained a priest by Archbishop Lefebvre.  I belonged then to the "hard" wing of the Traditionalists, but I became increasingly Roman and finally a diocesan priest.   Today I am an instructor in the subject of Liturgy in a seminary of Tradition.  One could also say that I am a "published  priest" because of my numerous, perhaps too numerous books and articles.

How did this idea of a pilgrimage of Tradition take place and how were you selected as the pastoral assistant?

The idea of a pilgrimage and for a Traditional Mass in St. Peter's Basilica for the "People of Summorum Pontificum", as well as the diocesean and also the communities, along with the SSPX, has been in existence for about a year in the so-called Roman circles of the "Reform of the Reform",  who really see in the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite,  a supporting pillar for true Liturgical renewal.  Because of the very diverse roles of a Pastoral Assistant they probably thought of me, because I was seen as a party follower who sees "unity in all living powers", a kind manner of border runner between all directions of Tradition.

On the 10th of September you held a press conference, which announced the Pilgrimage.  Could you tie together some of the central aspects?

In the first line I wanted to establish that it would be a pilgrimage of thanksgiving.  The pilgrims will offer above all a thanksgiving Mass in the extraordinary form and and as support for the Holy Father on the 5th Anniversary of the promulgation of the Motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, which is generally known to have come into power on September 14th, 2007.  For many diocesan -- and religious priests who offer their daily sacrifice of the Mass in the extraordinary form, it acted like a spiritual victory, even for the faithful who -- still sadly too few -- parishes, who could feel joy at this Liturgy and its mysticism.   One can say that in this decision by Benedict XVI.  an entire Summorum Pontificum-people was created.  This people will thank him for this.

And how about the other aspects?

I must say that it also will act as a recognition of loyalty to Peter.  The second reason is to announce our love for the Church and our loyalty to Peter, just as and especially in this current time of a bitter and difficult situation.  We are full conscious that the efforts, which the Pope has confronted has been difficult.  The Traditional Roman Mass, especially the High Mass, will always be a wonderful sign of faith of the Church as Mater et Magistra:  it is this Liturgical recognition which we bring to expression at the tomb of the Apostle, for the successor of Peter.  It will be a gift and a plea.  We will especially offer a gift to God, to ask him for graces for the reigning Pope, in order for him to continue his wonderful work, which he has completed since the beginning of his pontificate, especially today in the midst of cross and trial.

The pilgrimage is taking place along with the opening of the Year of Faith, is there a relationship between the two events?

Naturally.  Our pilgrimage will also express our participation in the mission of the Church.  Would would like to introduce the contribution of the always youthful traditional Liturgy for the New Evangelization, which the Holy Father is asking for during the Year of Faith.  It is clear that this is an initiative with the support of a large number of families, and that it is a source of increasingly larger numbers of religious and priestly vocations, something, which has shown itself as proven to extremely valuable in the Western world at present.

It appears that has not sufficiently considered this completely other vocations "crisis", which the institutes of Tradition are experiencing, in which they are forced to refuse those waiting for priestly office because of a shortage of places and facilities, a crisis which is the exact opposite of the Diocesan.

I would even say that one must especially stress this point.  By the grace of God, the Traditional Liturgy promoted without filling all the holes,  there has been a significant growth in vocations in certain countries like France and the USA -- still, the phenomenon could widen itself.  In France for example there are 710 diocesan seminarians against 140 seminarians (50 from the SSPX) in seminaries of Tradition,  this corresponds to 16%.  This relationship also effects those who are ordained to the priesthood.  This year there were 21 new priests of tradition against 97 diocesan priests.  Additionally there has been a complete transformation and realignment of the diocesan clergy.   The young dicoesan priests and the seminarians of the diocese are drawn to both forms of the Roman Rite and say this quite openly.   It is not to underestimate if the same goes for Ffrance, that a third of the diocesan priestly candidates could be described as candidates for Summorum Pontificum.  "Le petit people", as one says in the French, the simple faithful, stand by the Holy Father to follow the mission of the Church.

How do you explain the criticism and irritation about the pilgrimage, which has come from certain circles?

I can tell you that I have recommended that the organization committee is formed around Una Voce, because it works for unification, which is held int he world of Tradition as "neutral" and therefore liable to have the least criticism.  The conflicts and directions within the groups of Tradition considered, it seemed a good idea, to support them first by a hastily established committee,  in order to avoid jealousies and rivalries.  Some critics appeared from the worry in the success from it that a new organization could be created, which would encompass the entire world of Tradition.  If that had been our intention, we would surely have already succeeded to make the earth square.  I think that around the earth in the meantime have the understanding that we have solely organized a modest organizational committee for this event, which will direct the pilgrimage and dissolve on the evening of the 3rd of November.

What message do you want to finish this interview with?

I don't want to finish with theological words, but with those which the faithful can understand that the Holy Mass on the 3rd of November is a giant "parish Mass" of Catholics from the whole world, who come in order to be together with the"Universal Pastor", to pray with the Pope.  They want want to be together for him and to pray with him in the Gregorian Latin Liturgy, which out of their very own understanding is a community Liturgy.

Abbé Claude Barthe was born in 1947 in the Archdiocese of Toulouse, studied at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse from 1964, where he acquired a degree degree in history and in civil law. In the post-Conciliar upheaval he adopted traditionalist positions and entered the seminary of the Society of St. Pius X . in Econe Switzerland. In 1979, he was received by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, founder of the SSPX priest. Because of sedevacantist positions he was expelled from the SSPX in 1987. He was among the founders of the magazine Catholica, which he edited for several years and is one of the sharpest critics of the Church crisis, the brilliant theologian and liturgist the took a teaching position at the seminary of the Institute Bon Pasteur. After years of a canonically unclear status, Barthe approached together with the founders of the Institute Bon Pasteur increasingly to Rome and finally returned back to full unity with the Holy See. In 2005 the canonical status was finally resolved by a decision of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, and he was issued a Celebret. He now teaches Liturgy at the seminary of the Institute of Christ the King and High Priest. Abbé Barthe has written many books that are not available in English.

A New Motu Proprio on Liturgy is Here

Hero-Bishop Williamson

Bishop Williamson described a Motu Proprio that was to come out soon, back in August. There was also talk from Bruno Volpe of a Motu Proprio touching on the current talks between the SSPX and Rome.   Bishop Williamson also mentioned this talk as we reported.  No sooner this than that denials came forth by Society Superior Bishop Fellay that there was any such Motu Proprio in the future.

The current one in the works looks like it will touch on the Mass, and there's no indication that it will deal with the SSPX at all, but we'll see more when it comes out.  Here's an excerpt from Rorate Caeli.

The document, which will be published as a motu proprio, is the result of a long development - it has been reviewed by the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts and by the offices of the Secretariat of State - and is mainly motivated by the transferral of competences on matrimonial matters to the Roman Rota. ... Foregoing this [competence], which will be passed on to the Rota, the Congregation for Divine Worship will not occupy itself, in fact, with the sacraments, and will keep solely its competence in liturgical matters.

According to some authoritative rumors, a passage of the motu proprio of Benedict XVI could expressly mention that "new liturgical movement" of which Cardinal Antonio Cañizares Llovera has spoken in recent times, when intervening in last November's consistory.  ...

The Congregation for Divine Worship - which some would wish to rechristen as "of the Sacred Liturgy" or "of the Divine Liturgy" - will henceforth busy itself with this new liturgical movement, including the creation of a new section of the dicastery dedicated to sacred art and music.

Cardinal Ranjith is Talking about the "Elimination" of the New Mass

In Old Liberal Vienna, a Pius-Priest may not enter any ecclesiastical buildings. Thirty Diocesan Priests from Catholic Italy have spoken against this.

(kreuz, Paris) Dated, 13. January 2011: A very large part of the post-Conciliar love-Church "hates" the Society of Pius X.  The Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X., Msgr Bernard Fellay, said this the Sunday before last in Paris.

He explained that in the current discussions with Rome, discretion is very important.

The Society will go very intelligently with the negotiations.  They must make no false concessions.

The Bishop is pleased that Rome is generally prepared to discuss the non-dogmatic Pastoral Council.

Longing for the Catholic Teaching

In the lecture he mentioned that he was able to speak with almost thirty Italian Diocesan priests in the Diocese of Albano near Rome.

He is said to have asked the priests what they expect from the SSPX and figured they would say "the Mass".

Actually, the priests wanted "the Doctrine" from the Society.

Msgr Fellay is convinced that priests  who return to the Immemorial Mass of All Ages, will also come back to the Catholic doctrine -- but "from far away".

For they knew despite years of academic study nothing of God.

The "New Mass" has Outlived Itself

In Rome Bishop Fellay also met "very good people" -- priests, even Bishops and apparently Cardinals.

The Bishop named none.

Msgr Fellay cited however a word from Cardinal Malcom Ranjith of Sri Lanka.  He said to him: "one can not eliminate the New Mass with one stroke."

It takes more levels and will require twenty years, a whole generation.

As a step in the direction of improvement Bishop Fellay indicated the Motu Proprio, 'Summorum Pontificum'.

Not all is good with that, already: "But, a beginning has been made."

Motu Proprio Regulations Before Christmas?

The Mass of All Ages
The Traditionalists have been waiting for three years for the regulations for the implementation of the Motu Proprio 'Summuorum Pontificum'.  Is it still really necessary?

(kreuz.net, Vatikan)  The publication of the regulations for the implementation of the Motu Proprio 'Summorum Pontificum" of July 2007 is almost here.

This is according to the news site 'kathnews.de'.  The page cites "high Vatican sources".

Finally Here After Three Years?

Already in  2007 it was known that the regulations for the implementation of the Motu Proprio 'Summorum Pontificum' would appear.

Since then many publication deadlines have been announced and gone.

The site 'kathnews' knows why:  "The document was already completely revised, but then had to be reworked and corrected on certain points."

A corrected version of the text by the Pope will be produced in the coming days.

The website figures that the regulations for implementation will be ready still before Christmas.

There will supposedly be clarified any "open questions in relation to the handling" of the old Mass.

Motu Proprio Coming? The News Is Not Official but Deserves Confirmation

Editor: This just in from Mr. Bruno Volpe, a very credible source indeed with some background. Obviously, considering the recent talks from Cardinal Koch, this may have difficulties, but this is the feast of St. Pius X and an opportune time for a leak of this kind of cautious good news.

[Translation by Google Translate] Motu Proprio coming? The news is not official and deserves confirmation. The news is not official and deserves confirmation. In traditional talk of a motu proprio by Pope Benedict XVI would think to unlock the stalemate in talks with the doctrinal Society of Saint Pius X. The Balance After Three Years of Motu Proprio: Mass Locations Grow by 480%

More than twenty groups in Germany have requested an old Mass and receive from their old liberal Bishops not even one word. Actually, the Motu Proprio paves the way.

[Kreuz.net]The locations, where the old rite is usually celebrated, have increased 480 % since the Motu Proprio 'Summorum Pontificum'. This is according to the director of the German Lay Society 'Pro Missa Tridentina', Monika Rheinschmitt.

In June 2007 there were in total 35 locations, where the Old Mass was regularly said in the German speaking areas.

Three years after, on the beginning of July 2010, there were 203 Mass locations.

Mass Locations Divided by Country

In Germany there are 138 Mass locations where the Old Rite is regularly heard.

Only in 49 locations is there a regular Sunday Mass. In 24 of them the feast days are also served.

In 26 locations there are one to three Sunday Masses per month.

In 63 locations the priest only celebrates the old Mass on workdays.

In Austria there are only 28 Mass locations.

11 old Masses are regularly celebrated on Sunday, and seven also on feast days.

Of four Mass locations there are one to two Sunday Masses per month, in thirteen are only workday Masses.

In the confessional areas in the much smaller Switzerland there are 39 Mass locations.

In 21 Mass locations the priest celebrates the Mass every Sunday and 13 also feast days.

In four Mass locations there are one to two Sunday Masses per month.

In fourteen Mass locations the priest celebrates the Mass only on work days in the Old Rite.

As Usual: Bishops against the Old Mass

On a number of Mass locations the Old Rite must be reestablished again. For example is the town of Altötting where the celebrant has died.

In the last year some have dwindled and new Mass locations have quickly balanced the scales.

Anyway, Frau Rheinschmitt has in no way spoken of a "overabundance of demand".

Because: "There are more than 20 groups of traditional faithful known to us, who are desirous for a regular celebration of the Sacraments according to the 1962 Missal and have made requests of their pastors and respective Bishops -- but till now have either received no answer or a refusal."

The old Mass has a value in itself -- Frau Rheinschmitt stresses: "It will be especially poignant how thoroughly great, beautiful, sublime and sometimes even strange is the majesty of God."

The Church has developed and protected liturgical forms over the centuries, to help the believer to honor the triune God.

Frau Rheinschmitt also has made a graphic, which shows, how the old Masses are distributed throughout the German Diocese.

Little Understanding, Much Hate

Frau Rheinschmitt is certain that the anxiety toward the Traditionalists in some parishes is fading.

They enjoy the rich treasure of their own Church tradition.

In other locations the Traditionalists were always still, "thwarted, ignored, their proposals fought or answered in an unfriendly way."

Frau Rheinschmitt named examples:

The Traditionalists in Freiburg wanted every Sunday to have an Old Mass. Actually, they only may have Mass bi-weekly.

On short notice Prelate Alwin Renker declared -- the rector of the Church, where the old Mass in Freiburg will be celebrated -- on the 4th of July, that he, his housekeeper and sacristan will be on vacation traveling and therefore won't be able to say the old Mass on July 18th.

Actually, Prelate Renker isn't even the celebrant of the old Mass.

The coming date for the old Mass in Freiburg is still not known.

As a second example, Frau Rheinschmitt cited the example of the scandal in Weiden in the diocese of Regensburg.

There the Traditionalists, despite affirmation from Rome and a promise from Bishop Gerhard Ludwig Müller of Regensburg, who have waited for over a year to have the approval for a second Sunday Mass in the Month.

Many Larger Cities Still Without Old Mass

Frau Rheinschmitt observes finally, that in the German speaking areas there are still Churches which lack a regular Sunday Mass in the old Rite.

As an example Frau Rheinschmitt cited the city of Freiburg, Heidelberg, Konstanz, Ulm, Tübingen [No big surprise here], Reutlingen, Würzburg, Freising, Passau, Limburg, Speyer, Essen, Dortmund, Kassel, Hildescheim, Leipzig and Dresden.

One problem is that in the Chancery, "it is not well-received, when younger priests show interest in the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite or even celebrate it."

Conclusion: "There still remains a lot to do for next year."
