Pope “Accommodates” Muslims at Annual Dinner for the Poor

Edit: as European nations are awash with crime from Mohammedan invaders, this Pope continues to encourage ushering them into Europe to do what they’ve always done, which is rape, loot and enslave. When they become majorities, they will impose their Islamic world on Europeans remaining. They already do this in areas where they are in the majority. This pope wants to dispossess you, if you’re a European Christian, that is.
[dcclothesline] When will this gesture be reciprocated? Never. “Interfaith dialogue” is not conducted in search of genuine religious rapprochement. It is designed simply to make Christians feel good about how Christlike and non-bigoted they are (in their own view), while the Muslims can go away satisfied that the Christians are again submitting to them.
The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to suit Muslim sensibilities. And in non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to suit Muslim sensibilities.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

Traitor Archbishop Campaigns for Open Borders

Edit: when he's not offending Christ by praising the heretic Martin Luther, this man is betraying his country, canvassing more for the good of his own political power and support for his charity boondoggles, than he is for the spiritual good of his flock.. He has the same ideological alignment as the Pope, Cardinal Schönborn, Cardinal Marx...

Faith leaders from around Minnesota, including Archbishop Bernard Hebda, voiced concerns Jan. 30 about President Donald Trump’s recent ban on immigration from seven different countries.

[Catholic Spirit] Trump [That's God Emperor to you.] signed an executive order called “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry in to the United States” Jan. 27. It included a ban on immigrants from Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Iran and Sudan due to perceived security threats by the U.S. government.
Archbishop Hebda joined 11 other Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith leaders at the Jan. 30 press conference to call for lifting the ban. Speaking at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis, the leaders said that God calls all nations to welcome refugees and immigrants.

Jihadist: "Will Pray in Rome" -- New Video by ISIS

Islamic State: The Goal is Rome

(Rome) The terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) has released a new propaganda video. The video shows a suicide bomber shortly before his deed. In his message he appears certain that Islam will carry "victory"  and the followers of Allah will soon pray in Rome instead of the Christians.
The suicide bomber blew himself up shortly after recording his video message in Benghazi in Libya in the air. He turns in his message to the jihadists in Syria and Iraq, who he wants to "win" and  to "pray in Rome".
Abdel Rahman el-Libi is the name of the Islamic kamikaze. He refers in his message to the "prophet" Mohammed, who had already predicted the victory over Rome. The Islamists should not fret neither the unity of the "crusaders," nor the Arab tyrants who were against them, Allah will give them victory. "We are a united nation and sharia will prevail throughout the world."
The video lasts 14 minutes and shows several pictures of suicide attacks in Libya and references inter alia to the Libyan General Khalifa Haftar, the commander of the army of the government of Tobruk.
According to the press agency Alwasat, Abdel Rahman el-Libi was killed in a suicide bombing last July 30 against a center of the Libyan army in Kawarsha in Benghazi. His video has just now been released by the Islamic State (IS) on the Internet.

Persecuted Christians Disturb Catholic Interfaith Event -- "You see how the situation has happened in Europe by this attitude, where you live as Christians in the majority and yet are afraid."

(Rimini) The  meeting organized in 2016 by the Catholic community Communion and Liberation (CL),  which has taken place has cast a new interreligious shadow. [All of these linked articles are German, sorry.] The persecuted Christians of the Middle East "disturb" the desired climate. An Iraqi priest  witnessed the genocide of the Christians in his home, which was made bitter by experience that the West not only looks away, but - if it still has to listen again - responds unwillingly and with opposition.
On the opening there was a Marian Publisher  that had been prohibited from showing representations of Mary  "so as not to offend other religions." This meeting is of such importance that the Italian President and Prime Minister arrived in person. Italy left-Catholic president Sergio Mattarella, let it be known in his welcome address that it's not necessary for "all religions to be fundamentalist." But what does "all religions", in a message of greeting to a Catholic event mean without naming the Islam?
This is the "new interreligious shadow", giving a response of a saturated relativism to challenges, and thus, must necessarily remain inadequate and unsuitable.
At the same time the usual CL representatives like Archbishop Emeritus of Bologna, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, and the incumbent Archbishop of Ferrara, Luigi Negri, were no longer included in the meeting program.

Young Iraqi Priest as "Troublemaker"

Also not fitting in the picture is the Iraqi priest Rebwar Basa. Born 38 years ago in Erbil, he is priest of St. George Monastery of Mosul. He comes from the Middle East powder keg, whose fuse was lit in 2011.  He knows the situation of Christians from personal experience, because he himself is one of them. He knows about the persecution of Christians. He knows that Christians are a diminishing minority and are harassed by various Islamic groups in the country, persecuted, expelled and killed. And he also knows from personal experience that even the official state power makes Christian life difficult.

Rebwar Basa, Catholic priest from Mosul

Although Rimini is so far from Mosul, he nevertheless also felt the long shadow of the Middle East conflict cast on the famous seaside resort on the Adriatic Sea, when a statue of Mary must be wrapped in the middle of Italy at a Catholic major event, to be considerate of Muslims. It is the long shadow of Islam. It is above all the long shadow of its own weakness that has plagued European Christianity as an immune deficiency disease, which the Iraqi priest began to feel at the meeting.
Rebwar Basa was a guest at the meeting for three days, told all those who did not turn away, but wanted to learn about the fate of  brothers and sisters in the Middle East. The Catholic  organization Kirche in Not [Church in Need], who works extensively in a special way to help persecuted Christians. KN offered an exhibition on the persecution of Christians, which even Vatican Radio reported.
Last Friday, the first day of the meeting, there was an incredible incident, which is no less incredible than the concealment of a statue of Mary, of which no one knew anything about at that time. However, it fits another incident and gives a worrying picture.

Kirche in Not Informed about Persecuted Christians

For the exhibition Kirche in Not invited Rebwar Basa to give his  testimony.   And the unbelievable happened. The priest described the terrible fate of Iraqi Christians firsthand and was attacked for it from the audience. His credibility was called into question, since what he reported would not be heard by some. The  journalist Franco Bechis present for the newspaper Libero filmed the anachronistic scene and wrote about it in the Sunday edition of his newspaper: "Father Rebwar reported about the Christians  persecuted by Islam and was some were distressed by this message at the meeting."

"We Christians are the main attraction"

The priest came to the West, but rather than solidarity he reaped open contradiction. It came to a violent slugfest with "interreligious" and islamophilic Christians. Some of the audience just did not want to believe that what they propose could possibly also yield unpleasant consequences. Others seem to have come specifically to the event in order to bring the already weak voice of Middle Eastern Christians to silence. Kirche in Not is known for its commitment to persecuted Christians. It's a program that does not fit into the predominant, desired image, which is that supposedly "all" religions want nothing but peace, and "all" religions involve equally, "fundamentalist," dangers, as Christianity was not unlike Islam, anyway not better.

For all Islamic groups "are we Christians not the main objective?"

The young priest could not be upset, though - yet had every reason to do so - simply because of the disappointment. "What I am telling, I have experienced in Iraq. I am a witness of what I report. We are  still 300,000 Christians there. Here one has said a true thing that the Sunnis kill Shiites, and Shiites kill Sunnis. That's right, and there are religious, political and economic reasons for this slaughter. But just as much for one as for the other, we are Christians the ultimate goal. This must be said!  Again and again I read that the Christians were the collateral victim of a conflict. No, that's not true: Christians are the main goal! There is a persecution instead, which is a genocide, and we need to talk about it "
Despite the opposition, Father Rebwar answered his critics, who know so little of the fate of Christians in the Middle East   that they aim to suppress it: "You do not trust me? Do not believe me? You could check it yourself: There are media, there are books, there are other witnesses. So you can inform yourselves." The problem is rather something else:
"Often they are afraid to speak, so as not to affect the sensitivity of other religions. Fear not, and not from saying that. You see how the situation has happened in Europe by this attitude, where you live as Christians in the majority and yet are afraid. So you can imagine what we are going through in Iraq, where we comprise only 0.5 percent of the population today. Here with you, there are young Muslims who go to Iraq and Syria to fight, and are ready to die. And your youth is no longer willing to participate in a Mass."

Pope Francis: "No Dialog With the Devil"

(Mexico City) Yesterday, Sunday, Pope Francis, who is currently on a pastoral trip through Mexico, celebrated Holy Mass on the grounds of Ecatepec center near Mexico City. On this occasion, the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was brought there. The Pope made a short sermon, previously distributed to journalists with a restriction period on publication, but in which he introduced improvised parts.

"Let us remember what we have heard in the Gospel: Jesus never contradicts the devil in his own words, but contradicts him with the words of God, with the words of Scripture. Because men and women, about which we must be clear, with the devil there is no dialogue, you can't conduct dialogue with him because he will always beat us. Only the power of God's words can defeat him.

The Spanish original text was published by the Holy See. An official English translation of the pope's preaching is not yet available.

Blasphemy: Koran Suras Recited Over the Grave of St. Martin of Tours

(Paris) "The pope's video   has led the way: certain meetings in the spirit of the New World Religion are now on the agenda," said Chiesa e Postconcilio. On January 17, the Archbishop of Tours, the Cistercian, Bernard Nicolas Aubertin-, are among guests invited. It's not just in his episcopal residence or one of the numerous parish halls, but in the Basilica of St. Martin. Archbishop Aubertin sat in the high choir on 17 January with an Imam, representatives of the Islamic and Buddhist community and other Christian denominations. On the steps of the high choir,  the word Paix (peace) was projected.

The Quran was recited over the tomb of Saint Martin Martin of Tours

St. Martin was third bishop of Tours and was buried after his death in 397 in the city. Above his grave  the great basilica of Saint Martin de Tours was soon built and became a great pilgrimage site of Latin Christendom.
In 732 Tours was the scene of Muslim looting that took place in the Frankish Empire from Spain. Charles Martel, the head of the House of  the Merovingians, defeated them at the Battle of Poitiers and thus stopped the Muslim advance in the West.
In 1562 Protestants set alight the  saint's tomb. Only some of his remains could be saved and buried in the grave anew.
During the French Revolution, the basilica, except for a few, still visible parts, was destroyed. In 1860 the grave of the saint was again exposed and  they started over with the construction of a new basilica. In 1889 a new crypt for the grave was completed, and in 1925 the new basilica was consecrated.

Year of Mercy and Compassion in the Qur'an?

Xavier Gué, the church rector referred in his welcome to Saint Martin, who was a soldier. He had made his sword, with which he could kill the enemy, into an instrument of sharing.
Then all the religious leaders spoke for their respective communities. The Anglican representative quoted the prophet Micah and the Apostle Paul. An Imam sang the Fatiha, the initial chapter of the Koran.
Archbishop Aubertin presented a connection between the Year of Mercy and compassion in Islam.
The Dominican Jean-François Bour, Head of the Department for Interreligious  Dialogue in the   Archdiocese of Tours asked in conclusion for everyone to mutually support each other, to pray for one another and develop a desire "to live with our brothers in a benevolent and honest dialogue".

Toast in the Church

Then all those present were even invited to a "friendship cup" a  drink held in the back of   church.
"It remains completely unclear why church leaders are urged to carry out more and more foreign liturgical events liturgy in the church. If I want to come together with Muslims and Buddhists, then I do it somewhere, but not in the church. What are you offering here to substitute for the Liturgy and the encounter with Christ in the Sacrament?"  Wrote a Catholic from Tours among the comments of Riposte Catholique about the" Interfaith Encounter" at the Basilica.

Muslim Invocations in Cologne Cathedral

Edit: it would be nice if people would shout this nonsense down when it happens, but also, the ordinary Mass goers are so stupefied by the unlovely proceedings, they probably didn’t notice.

Islamic prayer service at prayer service for soldiers in the Cologne Cathedral and no one is responsible. A celebration of the Eucharist is no inter-religious dialogue event. A kath.net comment by Johannes Graf

Cologne (kath.net/jg)

In the Cologne Cathedral on World Peace Day on 22 January, the traditional military service took place. Cardinal Rainer Woelki celebrated Holy Mass. In addition to representatives of the German armed forces, there were soldiers from other countries stationed in Germany who were present stationed. The bidding prayers were presented by military personnel of various nations in the local language. Previously, the German translation was read.

The third prayer was recited by a Muslim female soldier. The German translation was: "We pray for the people who oppose injustice and violence and risk their lives; especially for our soldiers and female soldiers and members of the Federal Police. For keen awareness and a heart open to men.” [The inclusive language is horrible, too.]

According to a translation presented to kath.net the soldier actually said: "In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. The greetings be upon the Seal of the Prophet (ie Muhammad, n.). We ask God Most High, for all the people, who are exposed to violence and humiliation and all those who expose themselves with their lives to danger, especially the male and female soldiers and police, to be vigilant to the safety, protection and peace in communities.”

Maybe it's just a misunderstanding and the Muslim simply used a conventional petition used in her religion and that was self-evident for her introductory text for a prayer or a petition, which was not discussed with the promoters. Therefore, one should be careful with reproaches.  Objectively, a Catholic Eucharist   is lost  with a Muslim intercession. Muhammad is not a prophet for Christians. Even the following verse is again not acceptable for Muslims. The cantor sings: "God our Father,” while the people answer, "We beseech Thee, hear us". A father-child relationship between God and man is unthinkable for Islam.

kath.net has made a request to the Archdiocese of Cologne, our editorial was referred to the Cathedral pastoral office. The Cathedral pastoral office told us that the soldiers' worship had been prepared by the Military Catholic Deanery of Cologne, which is also responsible for the selection of lecturers for the intercessions. The Cathedral pastoral office has received the German intercessions and "noted with approval". Nothing wrong with that, if you look at the German translation.

Who was responsible for the missed intercession - this is so it should not be repeated. How was it that a Muslim woman read a prayer? Finally, the celebration of the Eucharist is not an inter-religious dialogue event. video of this Eucharistic celebration with prayer by a Muslim. The prayer begins at minute 37:00 with the German translation. Photo Cologne Cathedral © kath.net

On 8 June A Rabbi, an Imam an a Pope Will Do "Interreligious" in the Vatican: No Joke!

(Jerusalem / Buenos Aires) "We can go as far as we want, we can build a lot, but if we do not confess Jesus Christ, it doesn't mean a thing.  If you do not confess Jesus Christ, that brings  the words of Léon Bloy to mind: "Whoever does not pray to the Lord, prays to the devil." When one does not confess Jesus Christ, he is committed to the worldliness of the devil, the worldliness of evil." These words were uttered by Pope Francis in his first sermon as the new  head of the Catholic Church  on March 14, 2013 in celebration of the Eucharist with the Cardinals in the Sistine Chapel. Nevertheless, there will be an "inter-religious prayer" on June 8th  at the Vatican with  a Pope, rabbi and imam. How so?
There seems to be some disorientation ruling in the Catholic ranks  and  will not shake the feeling that Pope Francis is part of that.  The Catholic Action in the home country of the Pope, the National Argentine Commission for Justice and Peace , the World Union of Catholic Women's Organizations (WUCWO) and the International Forum of Catholic Action have (FIAC) for 1pm on June 6, been called to prayer under the slogan "One Minute for Peace" (see image).

Argentinian Group Picture - Embrace of the Abrahamic religions?

The call of  an Argentine group picture in front of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem was published. It shows Pope Francis with Rabbi Abraham Skorka and the Muslim representative Omar Abboud, both from Buenos Aires, as embracing all three. The text to image states: "Wherever are you at 1 o'clock, stay standing, incline your head, and say a prayer for peace, each in his own tradition." The reason for the call to prayer is the meeting of Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Abu Mazen on June 8, at the Vatican, has been invited by the Pope Francis.
Taking the above-mentioned statement on the one  hand that Pope Francis made at the beginning of his pontificate, the question arises: Is it now but no matter whether you - after the Pope's words - pray to Jesus Christ or the devil? The Pope could have appealed as a mediator in the Vatican, but why the "common prayer" with Rabbi and Imam at the same time to express the inclination of a mediator?

Pope Francis "makes world politics"

The bi-weekly newspaper are Public Forum of the Association Church from Below (nomen est omen) is thrilled. On his travel to the Holy Land  the progressive forum on Pope Francis reports: "He makes world politics - unlike his predecessor from Bavaria. When Benedict XVI. went on trips, you had to expect that he caused  faux pas or met with outraged victims. Francis dominated the opposite. "From him there was no "insulting" Muslims expected as alleged by the Regensburg speech of Benedict XVI. No "affronting" of the Jews, as allegedly happened in Auschwitz and above all, no one would hear from Francis, that "the forebears  longed for Catholic Missionaries", as the German Pope had told the Indians of Latin America. In Publik Forum one "breathes" and s therefore  to "tolerable",  because Benedict XVI. has resigned.
The peace process in the Middle East was "dead as a doornail" as Pope Francis came. Public Forum does not forget to note that there will be "inter-faith with the Pope" prayed on June 8 at the Vatican. It also understood there will be some Argentine and international Catholic organizations. This is in fact a piece of news in the Vatican.

Faithful Catholics Oppose "Interfaith" Desecration in Argentina

Heroes!
Edit: is there some reason why these sorts of events have to take place in sacred spaces when they could easily take place outside of the confines of Catholic churches.  Catholic laymen with any integrity and courage are bound to do something.  The group was led by the traditionalist Society of Saint Pius X.
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Ultra-traditionalist Roman Catholics have openly challenged Pope Francis by disrupting one of his favorite events, an interfaith ceremony in the Metropolitan Cathedral meant to promote religious harmony on the anniversary of the beginning of the Holocaust.

The annual gathering of Catholics, Jews and Protestants marks Kristallnacht, the Nazi-led mob violence in 1938 when about 1,000 Jewish synagogues were burned and thousands of Jews were forced into concentration camps, launching the genocide that killed 6 million Jews. Before he assumed the papacy, Buenos Aires Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio and his good friend Rabbi Abraham Skorka led the ceremony every year.

A small group disrupted Tuesday night's ceremony by shouting the rosary and the "Our Father" prayer, and spreading pamphlets saying that "followers of false gods must be kept out of the sacred temple."

Cardinal Tauran Preaches Stresses New Dogmas During London Visit

Edit: a correspondent sent this.  Here's a google translation with some editing:

[Radio Vatican] "Religions are the source of love, unity and peace, and if a religion teaches otherwise, then it is not a religion." [This must be some new kind of orthodoxy] These are the words of Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, on Friday in London. The prelate began a five-day visit to Britain. The president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue will strengthen interfaith relations in the country and stress that the friendship between religions is already the foundation of peace.
On June 13, Westminster Cathedral, he attended an interfaith meeting entitled "together in prayer for peace." His visit comes amid tension after the recent murder in the stabbing of a soldier in London exacerbating intercommunal hatred. Hence the importance of such an initiative was welcomed by the bishop in charge of interreligious dialogue within the Episcopal Conference of England and Wales.
Non-violence, an absolute imperative [Not the Faith]
"At a time when violence and in many different forms, has become the major concern in many parts of the world, because it disturbs the peace in families, in communities and in society, the practice of non-violence becomes imperative for Catholics and Jains" said Cardinal Tauran. This implies that "believers and people of good will, honor the dignity of every human being, and that beyond differences due to religion or other factors, we recognize our responsibility vis-à-vis the family human to which we all belong and we need help, personally and collectively, for the full development of each in love, justice, freedom and harmony. This is the only way to help promote peace and prosperity in the world."
An interfaith cooperation to promote harmony and peace
Thursday was the highlight of the trip Cardinal Tauran. An interfaith ceremony was held in Westminster Cathedral in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Antonio Mennini, local bishops and members of  various new religions. "How can we, in practice, messengers and peacemakers?" Cardinal Tauran asked during his speech on the theme "Together in prayer for peace. "  The answer, he continued, "is that, first of all, we must first truly live their faith, regardless of the religion to which one belongs. For a life of faith lived authentically can not fail to produce fruits of peace and brotherhood, as no religion teaches otherwise." The Cardinal certainly did not deny the existence, at the moment," of some fundamentalists and fanatics who seek to incite intolerance and violence against those who do not share their beliefs in the name of religion. "However, he noted, these are a minority. Hence the appeal made to  "interfaith cooperation" to promote "respect, mutual understanding and cooperation in the cause of peace."

B’nai B’rith “Memorial Liturgy” in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires With Cardinal Bergoglio

(Buenos Aires) Hardly had he been elected, when the attempt was made to insinuate Pope Francis' involvement with the military dictatorship (1976-1982). The intention was quite arrested by the categories of "politically correct” thinking, which many European media and public figures are incapable of thinking beyond. In the Left-Liberal spectrum of roles is clear from the outset and always that: the military dictatorship is rejected, because the enemy is always on the right.

Far more generous if you look at the other side, where all sorts of leftist romped, armed terrorist groups, not only resisted against the military dictatorship, but not insignificantly as combatants for Marxism, partly with Soviet support, the reason for this was that it was against the military dictatorship.

"Entanglement" of Pope Francis with military dictatorship reveals just how liberals tick

It seems at present, that even the ideologues and ideologies that do not deserve it, be "cleansed" in an infusion of the persecuted innocent persecuted by the generals, should have anything to do with the Catholic Church. Not everyone, be he Franciscan or Jesuit being pursued at that time in Argentina was a faithful son of Holy Church. Many had swapped the cross for a Kalashnikov.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio had resisted them and has remained true to his priestly vocation. As the Good Shepherd, he fought for the imprisoned brethren, of which he was suspected for years, completely unjustly as being an informer. One reason why the election of this new pope caused the German Jesuits little enthusiasm. A suspicion, which incidentally has now been withdrawn by one of the then imprisoned Jesuits imprisoned by the Junta, Father Francis Jalics.

Explanation needed for "Holocaust memorial liturgy" of B'nai B'rith in Catholic Cathedral

Because of the military dictatorship Pope Francis has no need for explanation. At least, however, a " commemoration of the [Reichs] Kristallnacht “ appears to require some explanation, which was organized with the Jewish organization B'nai B'rith on the 12th along with the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires on November of 2012 to "commemorate six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust." The commemoration of the Jewish Lodge, officially even called a "commemorative liturgy", took place in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, as the then Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio participated actively.

B'nai B'rith does not belong to official Freemasonry, although there are some overlaps and human forms of cooperation. The "Sons of the Covenant” [Söhne des Bundes], the German translation of the name originated in 1843 at a time when Jews were often rejected in Masonic lodges, so they formed their own parallel lodges, which in contrast to Freemasonry, are not a secret society. The Independent Order of B'nai B'rith may therefore, with all the differences, referred to as a kind of Jewish form of Freemasonry with its own rites and identification. The individual branches are therefore called lodges. The lodges of a country are gathered in the District Grand Lodge. This Jewish order was founded to represent Jewish interests in political terms. It also wants to promote the ethics of the brothers, which is very similar to that of Freemasonry. In the USA, almost ten percent of all male Jews of the lodge, appropriate weight, a corresponding number in the associated lodges.

Why did the Jewish Lodge organize a Jewish memorial for Jewish victims in Catholic churches?

Argentine Catholic organizations wondered how it was possible that a Jewish organization, also a lodge, might hold a memorial service in the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. The Archdiocese might have helped out differently because of space problems. But why was a liturgical space was made available in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament of Christ Himself? As Cardinal Bergoglio was keynote speaker at the event, it is clear who made the misappropriation, Pagina Catolica even speaks of the possible "desecration" of the Cathedral. In fact, with the "memorial liturgy" a kind of worship was celebrated. Since the event has been running for several years, there are already rehearsed rites similar acts. Before the altar there sat several representatives of Christian denominations (Lutheran, Prebyterianer, Methodist) next to the Cardinal. The official program book with the symbol of B'nai B'rith and the coat of arms of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires is called an "Inter-religious Liturgy." Six candles symbolize in this Holocaust memorial ritual each of the six million Jewish victims. Rabbi Alejandro Avruj lit each candle along with the representative of a Christian denomination or a Jewish organization. The last of the six candles he lit together with Cardinal Bergoglio.

Cardinal Bergoglio has cultivated close contacts with B'nai B'rith with an annual series of meetings and mutual invitations, where the cardinal especially emphasized his praise for the social commitment of the Jewish Lodge. For this reason, the Jewish representatives of the Grand Lodge officially opened on the 19th of March at the inauguration ceremony of Pope Francis in St. Peter's Square in part and the next day at the reception for the religious leaders in the Vatican, including the Director of B'nai B'rith-Committee for UN Affairs, David J. Michaels.

Under Archbishop Bergoglio it became customary in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires since 1994 that B'nai B'rith, performs its annual memorial service held for the Jewish victims of Nazism in Argentina's Catholic churches. In 2005, the Acto de Recordación de la Noche de los Cristales Rotos was held in the Catholic church of San Nicolas de Bari. Even then Cardinal Bergoglio was present, as a photo of Rabbi Felipe Yafe shows. In 2009 in the Catholic parish church of Santa Catalina de Siena, also in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. In 2008 the memorial was on the 70th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, also exclusively for Jewish victims of the Shoah, in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, in the presence of the Israeli, German and Austrian ambassador. In 2007, the ceremony was held in the San Ignacio Church of Buenos Aires.

Inter-religious ritual compatible with Catholic understanding?

After a meeting between Cardinal Bergoglio and Mario Wilhelm on the 4th of June, the Argentine president of B'nai B’rith and Boris Kalnicki, who is in B'nai B'rith responsible for inter-religious dialogue, said in a press statement for the Jewish organization that the "traditional commemoration of Kristallnacht" again will take place in 2012 and will “include a generous cooperation of Cardinal." The event was organized for the 8th November “at a church, decided at upon at a later time". It was finally not just any church, but the Diocesan church itself. The fact that the event takes place in a Catholic church, was self-evident for B'nai B’irith.

In 2011 the place for the Kristallnacht commemoration was in the cathedral church of the Diocese of San Isidro instead. For most of the Diocesan Commission for Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue, B'nai B'rith Argentina, an Argentine Jewish-Christian brotherhood and fellowship Lamroth Hakol, organized to hold a commemoration on the 10th November with texts by Rabbi Leon Klenicki and the Catholic theologian Eugene Fischer for their own "Interfaith liturgy", "with witnesses, songs and references to the night of the 9th November 1938 in Germany and Austria, the 20th which is regarded as the beginning of the Jewish Holocaust of the 20th Century or the Shoah." It was also the basis of the "memorial liturgy" 2012.

The question is not why the Jews commemorate those events in Argentina. But the question is, why is the Catholic Church in Argentina which is not directly related to these events in faraway Europe 70 years ago apply, which - as explicitly emphasized B'nai B'rith - by no means all of the victims, but only the Jewish victims of National Socialism. Why then is this Jewish memorial to Jewish victims held in a Catholic church?

Kathredale occupied twice by political groups

In any case, it has been moved to the Cathedral of Buenos Aires. It has been occupied by political groups in the last five years. When the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Bergoglio was already in Rome and just begun in the conclave, 200 activists of the leftist Movimiento Popular La Dignidad (MPLD) occupied the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, as the Spanish church historian Francisco Fernandez de la Cigena reported. The Parish Priest had to cancel the celebration of Holy mass. In 2008 the cathedral had been abused for political purposes. At that time, the cathedral church was occupied by the leftist Madres de Plaza de Mayo. In both cases, the protest was addressed against cuts in government funding for projects in which the respective occupying groups were associated with the church in no way.

Hamburg Auxiliary Bishop: Christians Should Support Building Mosques

Editor: It is this last form of Communism which has given rise to the movement known as Interfaith, which consists of a common-denominator belief that leaves a Jew delighted, a Protestant contented, and a Catholic without an Apostles’ Creed. - Father Leonard Feeney

Auxiliary Bishop Jaschke says: "We Christians support the building of beautiful Mosques" "I find it within the realm of the possible that Christians can make a gift of a new Mosque to Muslims."

Hamburg (kath.net/KNA) The Hamburg Auxiliary Bishop Hans-Jochen Jaschke discussed the building of new Mosques in Germany. At the same time he called on Christians to support the building of such things symbolically. "I find it within the realm of the possible that Christians can make a gift of a Mosque to Muslims -- as a sign of sympathy, neighborliness and religious solidarity," said the member of the German Bishops Conference for Inter religious Dialog to "Die Welt" in Hamburg on Saturday.

Perhaps it's possible to have a table with a verse from the Bible and the Koran. Perhaps a collection can be taken in the churches to provide financial support for a gift, said the Auxiliary Bishop. "We Christians support the building of beautiful Mosques," said the Auxiliary Bishop. Men must sense that faith has something to do with beauty and culture. Jaschke warned at the same time that the circle of Mosques that come to form a parallel world which is detached from parts of the city. Link to kath.net...

Interfaith is a Crock and Carmelites Should Know

Liberal Catholics love "interfaith" but I don't know anyone else who does. It's more like something you're supposed to do, but invariably don't do, like eating granola, recycling or respecting diversity. No wonder real men don't go to church these days. Anyway, we can't blame these fine sisters too much since Archbishop Nichols, among others, has led the charge on interfaith by going to a Hindu Temple himself.

Catholic nuns and Hindu leader pray together for a better world

In a remarkable interfaith gesture, Carmelite nuns and well-known Hindu statesman Rajan Zed prayed together in Reno (Nevada, USA) today for making the "world a better place".

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, prayed from Rig-Veda, the oldest scripture of the world still in common use, dated from around 1,500 BCE [wow, man, inclusive], with lines from Upanishads and Bhagavad-Gita (Song of the Lord), both ancient Hindu scriptures. The nuns prayed from Songs of David and Intercessions, and read from Gospel of Luke in New Testament.

According to Sr. Susan Weber, Prioress of Carmel of Our Lady of the Mountains Monastery, where the prayers and dialogue was held, it was always nice to share the prayers and have dialogue. It was second year of such joint session of Carmelite-Hindu prayers in the Monastery. Sr. Rosey Klupfel led the prayers.
