Pope Francis Kisses Hand of Aberrosexual Activist

(Vatican) Two days ago, the Salesians of Don Michele De Paolis was received by Pope Francis on May 6.  The 93 years old priest concelebrated Holy Mass in the morning with the Pope in the guest house Santa Marta.  The founder and now the Honorary President of Emmaus Community in the Apulian city of Foggia  then met  for "a few minutes" with the Pope  At the end the Pope kissed  his visitor's  hand.   The scene has been a bit irritating and in itself bizarre.  What Pope  actually kisses people on the hand?

Don De Paolis and his companion gave the pontiff a chalice and a paten made of olive wood.  A friendly gesture and a gift, if not suitable, according to  prescriptions by the Church for use at Mass.  But such "little things" have never bothered Don Michele De Paolis, who also presented the Pope   his most recent book entitled: "An Inconvenient Priest" (Un prete scomodo), plus a prayer request.  Pope Francis, still not quite familiar with the Italian language, unintentionally mixed up "scomodo" with "incomodo" which means "A Priest Makes the Circumstances".  What some Catholics from Puglia think is quite correct.  The real surprise, however, came at the end of the short encounter, when the Pope kissed Don De Paolis on the hand. A gesture  revealing the humility of a great man to another of the same stature," as the Left-leaning internet daily L'immediato gushed.

Pope Francis: "Everything is possible.   Talk to Cardinal Maradiaga "

"Don Michele" as the priest is called by all, reported on his Facebook page about the meeting with the Pope.   "I concelebrated with the Pope Francis.  I read the Gospel  After the celebration, the Pope greeted those present in another room.  We, I and my companions were the last."   "Last "," marginalized, "" marginalized ", "outcast" is  the standard vocabulary of self-understanding which is the unmistakably recognizeable in the vocabulary of the radical Left.   In fact, the contacts are very good in this direction.   Apulia is governed by professed homosexual and Communist Nichi Vendola since 2005.

De Paolis continued on his Facebook entry with what he told the pope: "We want so much for us an audience of Emmaus.   Is that possible? '  "Anything is possible.  Talk to  Cardinal Maradiaga and he shall prepare everything.'  And then (unbelievably) he kissed my hand!    I  hugged him  and wept." His emotion is understandable.   One should nevertheless beware of falling in the direction of this  lexical trap,  this anarcho-Catholicism.  It  juggles with emotional terms, while its diction is to think Marxist.  Clueless outsiders can be easily lulled  into it themselves.   The "ideological" Christianity which Pope Francis had already repeatedly criticized as  head of the Church was incarnate in the person before him. . But instead of a warning, he kissed the Southern Italian "Don Gallo" on the hand (to Don Gallo see the report Don Gallo, the Priest who Denied Almost Everything - Goes to the Grave in Scandal ).

 An Ideological Christianity

Don Michele De Paolis is almost a cliché of   priests, who  would be expected behind the title he has chosen for his book.  The "inconvenient" priest violates the unmistakable identifying feature of rules and dogmas and floats within the Church "usually against the current."  De Paolis who came from a wealthy family  (born 1921) is described by friends as an "extremely complex" personality.  When the war ended, he entered the Salesian order, was several years in the mission to Central America, moved politically far to the left and made  liberation theology his own.   He had a  predisposition to it which he brought already from Europe.

Everything happens on an interpersonal level, from, is socially motivated, the "enemy is right" and so one never quite knows whether  there is   a priest, a social worker or a political activist before him.  Whether it is  abortion, euthanasia and homosexuality he has an "authentic answer, not hiding behind the dogmas," as it says in a review of his book.

The decisive factor is that even among his own, he just always clearly knows that he does not belong, so  one distances oneself.   Here is the "free", undogmatic, human, "true", "prophetic" do-it-yourself Church, there the dark, dogmatic, Inhuman, obsessed with gaining power official Church.  It is the adaptation of the Marxist view of the constantly angry workers against the exploitation by capital.  It is the world of the "authentic man" who is constantly angry with the "injustice" in the world.   What is "unfair", coincides again with the Marxist world view.   Any doubt is entitled, according to Don Michele and requires a response.   At the same time he adds in a dialectical circular argument: "None of us has the truth."

The secular-anti-clerical "Credo" by Don Michele

On his Facebook page, can be found his personal "Credo" of the elderly, but tireless (No pasaran) Priest:  "I feel secular, as a humble believer, always looking for a willing, unselfish, in selfless service in the Christian, community and society, on the side of the last. I feel anticlerical, that is of belonging to no caste, any category; I do not feel as an official religion.  I try to give people peace and joy that is located in the most dramatic situations of existence: infidels, unchurched, divorced, on the way to  an abortion, homosexuals,   desperate, the variety of the marginalized. Seeking the light of the Gospel in the Church on controversial issues, such as the celibacy of priests, women priests, pedophilia, disease and the end of life." Not only homosexuality, but also pedophilia?

Among the favorites of the secular anti-clerical priest is the atheist Eugenio Scalfari, who gives the path to a march outside of the Church in politics and culture on the Apennine Peninsula.

The Church's Position on Homosexuality is "Maximum Hypocrisy"

In 2010  Don Michele De Paolis founded along with "respectful atheists", homosexuals and Gabriele Scalfarotto a gay group AGeDO (Faith and Homosexuality). Scalfarotto is a "tough campaigner in the battle for the rights of LGBT people."   Don Michele is with him to fight this battle and win," said the LGBT group Christians of Palermo.   On  homosexuality and homosexuals these priests of the  left has clear ideas: "Today the Church's attitude to homosexuals is strict, inhuman and has caused much suffering by claiming that homosexuality is sin.   Some church people say, 'It is acceptable to be gay, but they must not have any relationships, they can not love each other'!    The maximum is hypocrisy.  This is like talking to a plant, and saying, you can not bloom, you may not bear fruit.'   That already is against nature!" Said the priest in an interview with the LGBT group Bethel of Genoa.

"Not Everyone in the Church Suffers from Homophobia"

Don Michele De Paolis is a "fighter against all the prejudices that must be eradicated from the minds and hearts of many people he meets along the way as a priest. That is the least that anyone can do every day, whether it is religious or not religious, says Don Michele."  And anyway, says De Paolis,  in the  "holy Church of God, not everyone is  suffering from homophobia."  Therefore, the priest wrote in an article for the LGBT group from Lecce: "Those who want   to make you 'heterosexuals', as it is called,  would be force you to act contrary to nature and to make you unhappy psychopaths.   We need to put into our heads that God our Father wants us, his children, to be happy, by making fruitful the gifts that He has placed us in our 'nature'!  (...) You have the right  to go looking for a partner.  And be quite unconcerned: where agape is, is God.   Live your love with joy.   And with our mother Church we must have patience. Her attitude to homosexuals will change.   In this sense numerous initiatives have already  been engaged. "

Danger of "Fundamentalism": "Not to Take Literally What is in The Bible"

In another essay, De Paolis wrote in connection with homosexuality: "We must liberate our thinking from a risk: fundamentalism, that is, to take literally what the Bible says. The new obedience to the gospel is free, responsible and conscious.  Instead of wasting energy in endless religious polemics, it aims to  a new Christian spirituality of joyful acceptance of yourself forming  gratitude to God, knowing that homosexual love is His gift, which is not less than the heterosexual. "

Bamberg Pastor Asks Pope Francis for "Release" From Celibacy

(Bamberg) Stefan Hartmann (59), Catholic priest and pastor of Oberhaid in Upper Franconia (Archdiocese of Bamberg) wants to be "released" from celibacy. Yesterday he posted   a letter he sent to Pope Francis on his Facebook page.

He Gave a "Premature" Vow of Celibacy

The priest  explains to   the Catholic Church leader that he had given his promise of celibacy  "prematurely"  in 1981.  Celibacy does not comply with his "constitution". After "long evaluation" of his conscience and in view of his "personal situation" and "consciousness" of his "weakness" and his "mistakes," he is making the request for release from celibacy while maintaining his priesthood. Last January, Hartmann had explained on the television show "Höhe der Zeit" [Up To Date] broadcast all over Germany that he has  a daughter. In 1982 he was ordained a priest.

Relationship with Community Officer

Then he started a relationship with his church officer. Retrieved from "love" he never speaks, as a matter a timeeditor (Christ & the world) noticed.

He got a lot of obligatory "praise for his honesty, from the community and from the Facebook community", said Die Zeit  which knew to report it, mixing up honesty and dishonesty.   Hartmann belongs to a kind of  Hardliner.   He did not draw the necessary conclusions from his actions and ought to  be unfrocked. For example, in order to take care of his daughter. Other secularized priests became  external Church opponents. Hartmann wants to stay inside the same and rebuild the Church according to his  weakness. The applause of the media is certainly with him.

"Voluntary" Celibacy Nonsense

The priest breaks the vow of celibacy, leads a double life, does not draw the appropriate conclusions, but wants unapologetic adaptation not only for special treatment for himself, but even the whole ecclesiastical order to his "weakness". Because celibacy is just an "anachronism", which should be abolished thinks Hartmann. He speaks generously about not wanting to abolish celibacy,  but the  introduction of "voluntary"  celibacy, which is admittedly utter nonsense. This would elevate married clergy to a standard, which excludes whomever wants to just live as a  celibate priest, from  marriage. But as is known no one is forced into marriage by the Catholic Church. God had given  love, "not celibacy" which  celibacy opponents bring in their assault on the constitution of the Church as a fairly primitive denominator. That Jesus set aside celibacy for the sake of the Kingdom as a special act of love, is suppressed at all costs.
Jesus added, because He knew the people, even in the 21st century: "The one who can accept this should accept it." [Mathew 19:11] Today, all sorts of people jostling in front of the celibacy debate which  doesn't   affected them.  Were they silent, the quality of the discussion would gain much thereby. The priesthood and the religious life are voluntary acts, only obligatory to  those who are called. And to this appeal is included celibacy and chastity. Anything else would be a form of fraud, to oneself,  to God and to man.
The affected Archdiocese of Bamberg is silent. It sees no need for action, because Pastor Hartmann has only performed this escapade  once 24 years ago.  Hartmann himself knows better whether the Pope will offer a release from his vow of celibacy because of his "weakness" and his "constitution".   Strength of character looks different.

Priest Announces Violation of His Vows on German Television and Acknowledges Daughter

A Celibacy Breaking Careerist Senses a Change in the Winds?

Oberhaid / Ludwigsburg (Catholic news / CBA). Stefan Hartmann (59), a Catholic priest since 2001 in the Franconian Oberhaid wants to publicly confess on Friday to his 19-year-old daughter. The SWR announces on its website and refers to the talk show "Nachtcafe" at 10pm. As a guest of the program Hartmann wanted to report that "he is infinitely happy about his great daughter-friend and proud of her." The doctoral theologian additionally says of the SWR announcement that he had denied his child for years in order not to risk his Church career. "The long silence was cowardly and nothing good came of it," the priest is quoted as saying. Today, he serves the Church still, but confesses to openly living a lie, for which he begs your pardon. He was encouraged to go public by Pope Francis, says Hartmann. In addition, he was making an objective discussion of the obligation to celibacy for diocesan priests. The Pope did not want go into the solitude of the Apostolic Palace, "which can easily be as hard as the loneliness of rectories, which are often too large," says the priest. The priest emphasized that he wouldn't want to call into question the meaning of the celibate life of many priests and religious. The administration of the Archdiocese of Bamberg has been informed about the situation of the priest, said press office on request. Disciplinary consequences are not being considered at this point. Hartmann was born in Oberhausen in 1954. After studying psychology, philosophy and theology, he was ordained in 1982 in Trier, Germany. He has also served as a spa and hospital chaplain in Bad Säckingen and as university chaplain at the Catholic University Community in Vienna. Since September 2001 he has been active in the Archdiocese of Bamberg.

Servite Prior Bans Traditional Mass to Pilgrims in Austria

(Vienna) A Liturgical scandal occurred in the Austrian Servite  Monastery of Maria Luggau. The prior of the monastery has banned a group of pilgrims, who want to celebrate Holy Mass in the Sanctuary of Mary in the Immemorial Mass of All Ages.  The Fatima initiative that undertakes a pilgrimage to Maria Luggau  annually in October wanted to celebrate the Old Rite. Prior Andreas M. Baur, said the Carinthian newspaper, Kleine Zeitung : "I am critical of the Tridentine Mass. It does not correspond to the spirit of the Second Vatican Council ".

Under Benedict XVI. permitted, prohibited under Francis

In the years 2011 and 2012 the Mass was to be celebrated even without problems and with the permission of Prior Baur in the Extraordinary Form at the request of the pilgrims the Holy Mass. At that time Pope Benedict XVI. was still the leader of the Catholic Church, now the pilgrims are harshly rejected. Benedict XVI. was the one who  with the motu proprio Summorum Pontificum had restored the Old Mass in 2007 to Its full rights of citizenship in the Church. Now, however, that Pope Francis rules in Rome and the prior of the Servite Monastery no longer feels bound to the "rights of citizenship" for the Old Rite as a papally binding arrangement.
"It is absolutely allowed to celebrate Holy Tridentine mass in Church law. To ban us is an arbitrary act," said Anna Stranner of the Fatima Initiative who will venerate the Mother of Sorrows of Mary Luggau in a special way. "A prior can not but be more Catholic than the Pope," lamented Stranner at the unfriendly treatment of the prayer community. As in previous years, a priest would come to Maria Luggau to celebrate the Holy Mass in the Old Rite with the pilgrims.  In 2013 the celebrant would have been  the Austrian military Dean, Siegfried Lochner. So the Servites would not have been so  much as "bothered" that the Fatima Initiative  group of pilgrims, more than others who have been to visit during the year at the church. Dean Lochner is surprised about the cancellation and also angry about the behavior of the monastery superintendent: "I have often celebrated Holy Mass according to the traditional Roman Rite/ But such a brusque rejection of the faithful, as by this prior is new to me."

Prior Baur: "Critical of the Tridentine Mass"

Prior Baur is struggling to justify his decision, which is in open contradiction to church law. He explained that the group of pilgrims had "not involved" him. In addition, he was "being harassed by phone", for "days" by the pilgrims because of the prohibition of the Old Mass. "I'm not going to be forced" said the Servite priest energetically to the Kleine Zeitung  and came to an idiosyncratic understanding of the law. According to Prior Baur the Ancient Mass does not correspond "to the spirit of Vatican II", from which he concludes that this "spirit" breaks the current law.
The diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt does not want to mess with the monastery and certainly not because of the Mass of Saint Pius V., the diocesan chancellor, diocesan official, and cathedral canon, Msgr. Jakob Ibounig, says of "such Masses", by which he means the traditional rite: "The prior makes the house rules." And anyway: "If he does not want that such Masses are celebrated in his church, this is the legitimate," said Msgr Ibounig.
At least   Prior Baur, whose consecration year is [groovy] 1973, hasn't closed the door completely, to the press: "The tone has to change. I also want to have a talk with the priest holding the Mass. Then we'll see,"  he is  quoted as saying by the Kleine Zeitung .
The monastery with the pilgrimage church of Maria of the Snow in Maria Luggau lies in the diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt in Upper Carinthia Lesachtal. The pilgrimage goes back to a devout woman, to whom the Blessed Mother appeared in 1513 in a dream and instructed her to build a church on a wheat field. The present church, whose foundation stone was laid in 1515, has as yet no Volksaltar [Cramner Table].  Since 1639 the Servites have overseen the pilgrimage they took over from the Franciscans. Currently, three Servites live in Maria Luggau monastery after a brother from Nigeria joined the Convent.

St. Sabina's Erects Shrine to St. Treyvon of the Purple Drank

Edit: today, we are told by a correspondent that St. Sabina's parish, run by the controversial and heterodox Father Michael Pflugger, has created a shrine to the non-Catholic Treyvon Martin,  who was shot and killed by a man defending himself on February 26th of this year.
How will Trey get his Drank on in the Afterlife Without Tussin?

Apart from the obvious objection that Treyvon wasn't Catholic and couldn't be canonized, there seems to be something missing from the altar which attempts to portray the assailant's innocence and goodness with the trademark skittles and watermelon tea.

What is omitted in the usual descriptions of these items is the fact that Treyvon also had Robitussin, an over the counter medicine used for common ailments, but also to make an intoxicating gangster cocktail    known as "lean" or "drank" which makes use of skittles and watermelon tea.

You forgot the tussin!

From the comments on AmericanThinker:

Trayvon, with his hoodie up, grabs two items from the shelves of 7-11.  One is the Skittles.  The other is Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail.  The media avoid the name of the real drink -- possibly because of the racial implications of the word "watermelon," but possibly to avoid probing the real reason for Trayon's trip.
Trayvon, in fact, had become a devotee of the druggy concoction known as "Lean," also known in southern hip-hop culture as "Sizzurp" and "Purple Drank."  Lean consists of three basic ingredients -- codeine, a soft drink, and candy.  If his Facebook postings are to be believed, Trayvon had been using Lean since at least June 2011.
On June 27, 2011, Trayvon asks a friend online, "unow a connect for codien?"  He tells the friend that "robitussin nd soda" could make "some fire ass lean."  He says, "I had it before" and that he wants "to make some more."  On the night of February 26, if Brandy had some Robitussin at home, Trayvon had just bought the mixings for one "fire ass lean" cocktail.
Thank goodness that Father Pfleger is in good standing with the Chicago Archdiocese.

Patheos Blogger Gushes Enthusiastically for Call to Action Import

SPLC Blogger Priest
Edit: What hath Patheos to do with Jerusalem? It's pretty clear to a lot of people out there by now that the Neocatholic crowd, which strikes a conservative front, is deep down, truly hostile to Catholicism and loves to attack personalities while it promotes personalities and anti-Catholic agendas like the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Indeed, this penchant isn't the sole province of Patheos bloggers, but other long-standing termites at work on the Barque of Peter. In light of Catholic Answers' recent attack on "traditionalism", Patheteos Blogger attacks from "Father" Longenecker and here, among others, it is interesting to note what a former Buddhist and exponent of centering prayer has to say about dissidents and their deviant doctrines, which are usually sidestepped or minimized by other Neocatholic bloggers on Patheos and elsewhere. Let us point out, also, as the author does, that the Austrian dissident priest, Helmut Schüller, is in good standing with the Catholic Church while others, like the Society of St. Pius X, are not.    It's a good thing that Patheos bloggers, even if they aren't particularly orthodox, are also, at least, in good standing with the Church!

Thus we address the recent story about the dissident Pastor's Initiative which is headed by a renegade Austrian priest, Father Helmut Schüller, on a Patheos Blog called On the Way [Or "In the Way"?] by Phil Fox Rose. Fox begins by blandly describing the activities and background of the Pastor's Initiative, which is Austria's Call to Action crowd, some of its reasons for being, and even explained that he himself had attended one of these anti-Church conferences. While he goes to great lengths to describe and enthuse about, Schüller's work, particularly his attacks against the authority of the Church, promotion of aberrosexualism and defiance of Cardinal Schönborn of Vienna, he makes his own allegiances much more clear when he later expresses his disappointment at the fact that most of those in attendance are over 60. He laments that Schüller is restricted to speaking at Protestant churches and believes this is a message Catholics need to hear. You will remember that Cardinal Sean of Boston doesn't even want this Austrian carpetbagger around.

Fox enthuses about Cardinal Schönborn's inaction:

Some of this, perhaps, is possible because of Cardinal Schönborn’s open-mindedness – it’s hard to imagine the same being tolerated in most American dioceses. In fact, because it’s been made clear his message is unwelcome and several local bishops have forbidden him to appear on church property, all the venues for Schüller’s American tour are Protestant churches or secular buildings except one, Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, which is hosting him in active defiance of Archbishop Chaput. As Schüller said on Tuesday at Judson Memorial Church in Manhattan, this is not a problem for him, but it is a problem for American Catholics. It is not a prohibition of him to speak — he can speak anywhere. It’s really an attempt to prohibit the Catholic laity from listening to his message.

He later expresses his pleasure in the comments to a dissident nun, that there are young people participating in this We Are Church disobedience.

Sr. Christine, I'm delighted to hear about the involvement of young adult Catholics. I was reacting to what I saw at the New York event as well as Fr. Schuller's own remarks on the subject, but it is encouraging to hear that there is a serious young adult component nationally. On the Eucharist without a priest present, I did understand that Fr. Schuller meant using bread previously consecrated by a priest. I intended the term "Eucharist" to refer to the consecrated host, not to the mass, and called it "communion services" elsewhere in the piece. I've changed the wording in that one case to avoid confusion. Thanks for pointing it out. I appreciate your comments. Peace, Phil

Leftist Bishop Assigned to Diocese of 250,000 Catholics in Feldkirch

Fr. Elbs was the desired candidate of the media. As the anti-Catholic newspaper "Der Standard” saw it in the autumn of 2012, he should have become the Bishop of Graz-Seckau. But now it’s the bishop of Feldkirch.
Left birth certificate holder, hopes for a change of course in the diocese by Bishop Elbs [screen shot: Presseconferenz / vol]

Fear of “Conservative Bishop" Ends

This means that the "fear" for another conservative bishop is over, who had expressed in a letter to the nuncio from 2,300 holders of a Catholic baptismal certificates. They had made statements against Fr. Thomas Fields, a priest of the "Spiritual Family The Work", and against Fr. Anton Lasser, founder of the conservative radio station "Radio Horeb" and head of the seminary Leopoldinum in the monastery of Heiligenkreuz.
The left and anti-church camp hopes for the "golden boy" Bishop Elbs would cause the "Orthodox cells,  conjured by (Bishop) Fisher, [will] go again."
“At last, the Allgäu boasts an ultra-Catholic broadcasting station in the country, Lefebvre supporters celebrate their Latin Masses, SSPX brothers have their followers, and the discrete network of Opus Dei has not fled Lower Austria with Klaus Küng," thunders a pro-Semitic newspaper.

As we learn from the Episcopate

Fr. Elbs addresses in a press conference on 8 May 2013 in Vorarlberg his appointment as bishop of Feldkirch, a small diocese established in 1968 with almost 250,000 Catholics.
With an "Buona sera I can’t well say, so instead I say Grüss Gott", said Fr.Elbs at the press conference. Within, he was going "haywire".
It was "a little downer" for a Bregenzerwälder as one put it, that he was just in Montafon. After a church service with the Linz (Auxiliary) Bishop Ludwig, he learned "in a parking lot with beautiful flowering trees” that in a call from the Nunciature,  he was appointed bishop.
Whether or not all traffic regulations were met on the way back to Feldkirch, he did not know.

Gratitude of the new bishop

He feels great gratitude for the many people who are involved in the Diocese of Feldkirch. He thanks his parents and all the “close companion and companions", also  "Bishop Elmar (Fischer) as his predecessor Bishop".
Important to him personally were:
  • "That the Church has essentially the order to make the kindness of God visible to the people and what moves people - the fears, the hopes, the joy - that are also places, situations where the Church has a place and I am pleased that the new Pope Francis here in a very spontaneous and good job reaching out to people is with them, accompanying them and strengthening them. That is the one, which is very important to me at this moment, to say so.
  • And the second is the friendship with God or the friendship of Christ. I must make the experience personal in life and also know from many conversations with people in different life situations, that this friendship with God, this relationship with God carries them, gives them support, is hope, is a perspective, opened a horizon of hope, and that is something that I very much wish for our diocese that we can continue to go well on the way in this sense. "
“For me it’s become completely personally important to me, Blessed Carl Lampert (note: he was the highest-ranking cleric who was executed by the National Socialists; beatification on 13 November 2011) since the beatification - then I promised that I would pilgrimage every day to Göfis until the issue of the bishop is settled in Feldkirch  that I had to drive so often to Mont Fort, I had not considered."

Career

Hw. Elbs was born in 1960 in Bregenz, he attended  Bregenz Bundesgymnasium, then he studied theology in Innsbruck with a thesis (1986) about: “Penance instruction and religious education: a critical analysis of current teaching materials and catechetical / religious education aspects for a responsible practice."
In 1982 Fr. Elbs concluded the study of psychology. He received a diploma in Logotherapy and Existential Analysis by Viktor Frankl.
He was ordained a priest by Bishop Bruno Wechner 16 May 1986, then a chaplain in Bregenz Mariahilf and religion teacher.
By Bishop Küng first as a chaplain in (1989), held the Diocesan Boarding School the Marianum (rector from 1990), and the Pastoral Office.
From 1993, he also worked as a psychotherapist.
In April 2003 Fr. Elbs was chaplain to His Holiness. Two years later, on July 4th 2005, Bishop Elmar Fischer appointed him Vicar General. Since 2008, Fr. Elbs carries the dignity of prelate.
Since 16 November 2011, he led the diocese after election by the College of Consultors of the Diocese of Feldkirch as diocesan administrator.
The consecration as bishop of Feldkirch is on 30 June 2013 was performed by Archbishop Alois Kothgasser, Cardinal Schönborn and the Nuncio Archbishop Zurbriggen. The left ORF is so pleased, that it has transmuted his consecration as bishop on Austrian television.

The new bishop

When the (from now on, old) Bishop Fischer described homosexuality as in reality as curable, Fr. Elbs soothed the media's aberrosexual lobby by relativizing the episcopal statement.
The new Bishop sees himself as a "team player", a renewal of the Church "must come from below," says the left's quote from him. He hopes for a stronger "dialogic interaction".
"Small communities to read the Bible together and become socially engaged" to help conceal the priest shortage. There are "base communities" of the Church to breathe additional life. Let us recall here a warning of St. Curé of Ars: "Leave a church 20 years without a priest, and they will pray to animals ..."
Bishop Elbs expressly presented the leftist Bishop Erwin Kräutler as a model.
Cardinal Schönborn said to the newly appointed "It is an encouraging signal that the first episcopal appointment in the German speaking world by Pope Francis is a man who will truly act in his country very credibly and well beyond the borders of the church also." - Apparently the previously appointed Bishops do not  seem "really very credible."
In 2011, Fr. Elbs spoke against sanctions against Schüller’s break-from-Rome pastor, he pled for "talks".
The  non-occupation of the papal apartments by Pope Francis has found in Hw. Elbs a copycat: In the Bishopric, a villa on the Hirschgraben, the newly appointed bishop would not occupy it since he had already decided he wanted to "live as simply as the average in Vorarlberg".
In an interview with the “Vorarlberg news" Fr. Elbs himself the  questions that have been resolved recently and validly in Rome, such as being evasive about  the impossibility of women priests. On the question whether the “moratorium on discussion" decreed by Pope John Paul II still applies, he answers evasively, probably with a different position than the teaching of the Church, it states: "The most important thing is - I maintain - the culture of free speech. The bottom line is that you have to discuss all the issues. "
Similarly, the expressions of celibacy with references to former Anglican or Orthodox, who had converted to Catholicism, married priests.
A bishop who expressed here as ambiguously as this,  just does not show his conformity with Rome.

Appointments in Graz and Salzburg

In the Diocese of Graz-Seckau, more precisely, the press secretary of the Diocese, Plank, has also clarified the issue of succession in the Archdiocese of Salzburg and below expected in the foreseeable future in Graz-Seckau.

Ugandan Bishop Suspends Dissident Priest

Edit: no muss no fuss.

The Priest Anthony Musaal has  addressed a letter on March 12th to the Bishop, clergy and laity of Uganda, demanding the rectification of the alleged gap between the ideal and reality of priestly celibacy in black Africa, through the lifting of celibacy. Archbishop Cyprian Kisito Lwanga of Kampala has suspended the priest because he has discredited the Church and the clergy.

His Facebook even shows support for abbero-marriage:
