Cardinal Rodé Exonerated by Paternity Test
At the end of August it was still maintained that the Slovenian-German Peter Stelzer was still the son of a Curial Cardinal.
(kreuz.net) The Slovenian Curial Cardinal Franc Rodé (78) is not the father of Peter Stelzer (42), residing in Germany. This was reported on the website of the Slovenian Bishops' Conference yesterday.
It was jubilantly reported at the end of August in Germany that a Cardinal had a child with a living Slovenian woman.
The powerful media bosses in their bitter hatred of the Church, took this opportunity to besmirch the Church.
Yesterday, it came to light
A DNA test from the Institute for Legal Medicine at the University of Munich proved that the Cardinal is not the originator of the German Peter Stelzer.
This was according to an attorney for the Cardinal, Nina Zidar Klemencic, on Tuesday in Laibach.
The defamation is said to have injured the slandered Cardinal.
The Journalist has to pay
The slander was spread by an article in the Slovenian scandal sheet 'Delo'.
Stelzer's mother had clearly been involved with so many different men, that she didn't remember who the father of her son was in order to establish the paternity of her son at all.
According to reports from the District Attorney, Stelzer has been forgiven by Cardinal Rodé.
Now the Cardinal will sue the author of the slanderous article.

Cardinal Rode Accused of Fathering Child
Cardinal Franc Rodé Gave in 2010 Priestly Ordinations in Old Rite © Fr James Bradley, Flickr, CC |
Yet despite saying what most people already know, and for no apparent reason, the investigation of women religious was rendered toothless when Cardinal Rode was retired from the position after rendering his own conclusion that the religious “simply acquiesced to the disappearance of religious life or at least of their community,” while others “have opted for ways that take them outside communion with Christ in the Catholic Church.”
The Cardinal is also a friend of Tradition.
An update on kreuz.net reads that the Cardinal is now demanding a paternity test to clear his name. The tests will be conducted at an independent institute in Maribor, Slovenia.
"I denounce these statements that I have violated my priestly celibacy and had a son."
(kreuz.net) The Emeritus Prefect of the Congregation for Religious Franc Cardinal Rode (77) is said to be the alleged father of a 42 year old son.
This is being reported by the Slovenian daily 'Delo'.
An Alleged Relationship
The child is allegedly the result of a relationship with the then 18 year old Tanja Breda.
The Cardinal was at that time a 35 year old theology professor in Ljubljana.
The relationship is supposed to have taken place in 1969.
An easy girl
The today sixty year old woman described a relationship with the Cardinal to journalists.
At the same time she explained, that she is not sure that her son Peter S. really came from him.
The woman is completely uncertain according to 'Delo": "I don't know exactly if the Cardinal is the father of my son Peter, I can't recall exactly who the father is, although they both have the same nose and the same eyes."
Landed in Germany
Still during the pregnancy the little darling wandered to Germany.
It was there that her son came into the world in 1970.
Later she married a German who adopted the child.
A son searching for his father
The alleged son of the Cardinal lives today in a country in the Near East.
On the search for his father he had written several times to the Cardinal and also to the Vatican to ask for a dna-test.
Yet he received no answer.
Then he consulted a Slovenian attorney, in order to take legal action.
Categorically Denounced
Cardinal Rode has categorically denounced the accusations on a website of the Slovenian Bishops Conference.
"The article relies on voices and anonymous sources and is a serious attack on my name and my reputation."
He expressly declared: "I denounce these assertions that I have violated my priestly celibacy and had a son."
Many Contradictions
The Cardinal explained that he had never received a request to establish paternity.
He had met Tanja Breda in the past, but never had a relationship with her.
In the beginning of May the Vatican suspended the Old Liberal Emeritus Archbishop Alojz Uran (67) of Ljubljana who was retired in November of 2009.
He is definitely the father of several children.
On the order of the Vatican, he left Slovenia and lives in the north Italian city of Trieste.

Update on Visitation of Women Religious
Edit: If it's hard to confront an alcoholic, it must be impossible to confront modernist religious who have been falling down on their apostolic mission now for half a century.
The good Cardinal was at the statutory retirement age of 75, but yet substantially scandalous Cardinals have been kept for longer. Why not let him finish his job?
Catholic Culture seems to be describing the smattering of whiny articles by faux Catholic periodicals and academic journalist coupled with sympathetic bleating from the usually anti-Catholic secular media as a serious backlash.
A Catholic Cardinal says something that Catholics and even secular cultural observers have noticed for years and he's retired to be replaced by a toothless intermediary because of a serious backlash? Is that right?
Obviously, there was a lot of resistance, considering that some don't want to be held accountable. The National Catholic Register cited Sister Millea, who conducted the investigation. Her response is stunning in its breadth of credulity.

Early reports that the apostolic visitation would result in calls for a crackdown on dissident women’s religious orders produced a heavy backlash, with a number of prominent American women religious saying that religious orders should not cooperate with the Vatican probe. That resistance complicated the work of Mother Mary Clare Millea, who spent most of 2009 and 2010 gathering information from the American communities of women religious.Link to Catholic Culture...

Not all of the attention drawn by the visitation was positive, [are you toying with us, NCR?] as some communities challenged its mandate and opted not to provide requested information.Read more: http://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/apostolic-visitator-religious-lifes-enduring-reality-is-one-of-fidelity-joy/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#ixzz1j5cQd7ny
However, Mother Millea called the three-year process “demanding, but equally refreshing,” a reminder of religious orders’ “history and vital role in the Church in the United States.”
She said after submitting her report to the Vatican congregation, “As I learned of and observed firsthand the perseverance of the religious in the United States in their vocations, in their ministries and in their faith … I have been both inspired and humbled.”

Cardinal Law to Retire
According to Pablo Rodari, at Apostolic Palace, Cardinal Law along with Cardinal Farina, Cardinal Rodé and Cardinal Dias are retiring.
Photo stolen from, here, a blog incidentally, we don't agree with when it comes to Cardinal Law. Cardinal Law's worst crimes were related in every way to the Faith. It might seem to some that he was never sufficiently punished for that. Unfortunately, most people don't see the link between homosexual predation and doctrinal heterodoxy and religious indifferentists and pagans like, say, Arturo Vasquez, don't help much when it comes to the understanding, because they themselves don't understand the Catholic Faith.
