Whatever of the demise of Williamson, if the SSPX attempts to consecrate any more bishops then all bets will be off with Rome. The schism will deepen until the breakaways will be totally isolated from Catholicism. They should know that.

Don't be so sure. Francis the Merciful has indicated he wants to help them pick a bishop. It's one of those things that makes so little sense amidst all the other rhetoric. What happens to the schism if Francis gives the thumbs up on a bishop along with extending their universal faculties for hearing confessions?
