For me this is not an issue. I attend Mass in Italian, English and Latin (extraordinary form) and affirm the old ecclesiology in harmony with Vatican Council II rational i.e. LG 16 refers to a hypothetical case only. It refers to an invisible person in 1949-2024. So the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office (LOHO) to the Archbishop of Boston made an objective mistake when it projected invisible cases of BOD as being visible exceptions for the dogma EENS.
Like the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), I reject Vatican Council II, irrational i.e. Lumen Gentium 16 refers to visible exceptions for Feeneyite EENS. Pope Francis’ new theology comes when LG 8,14,15,16,UR 3, etc are seen as objective examples of salvation outside the Church and so exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and the past exclusivist ecclesiology of all the Catechisms etc. But where are ‘the exceptions’ of the baptism of desire (BOD) in 2024? Do we know any one saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance (LG 16)? Can we meet or see them? Only God can know if someone is saved outside the Church and so is an exception for the dogma EENS. For us human beings there are no known examples of salvation outside the Church in 2024. ‘There are no exceptions’, does this sound, Feeneyite for you?
When LG 8 etc are exceptions for Feneeyite EENS then we have the New Theology which says outside the Church there is known salvation and so not everyone needs to convert. There are exceptions. This is in line with the ecclesiology of the New Missal of Pope Paul VI, the new ecumenism etc. But when Vatican Council II has no exceptions for Feeneyite EENS, we return to the old exclusivist ecclesiology of the Roman Missal.
For me this is not an issue. I attend Mass in Italian, English and Latin (extraordinary form) and affirm the old ecclesiology in harmony with Vatican Council II rational i.e. LG 16 refers to a hypothetical case only. It refers to an invisible person in 1949-2024. So the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office (LOHO) to the Archbishop of Boston made an objective mistake when it projected invisible cases of BOD as being visible exceptions for the dogma EENS.
Like the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), I reject Vatican Council II, irrational i.e. Lumen Gentium 16 refers to visible exceptions for Feeneyite EENS. But, unlike Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, I accept Vatican Council II rational (LG 16 refers to a hypothetical case only. It is not a practical exception for EENS).
Think. Without the 1949 LOHO error the Church returns to the theology of the Roman Missal, or as they as, to ‘pre-Vatican Council II times’. ‘Pre-Vatican Council II theology’.
These days there is an official campaign to hide this ‘discovery’. The discovery is that without the 1949 LOHO reasoning, Vatican Council II is traditional and supports the ecclesiology of the Roman Missal of the Middle Ages. There is no new magisterium in the Church. Then there is no development of doctrine. Liberalism ends.-Lionel Andrades

Basically, what I am saying is that LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II refer to hypothetical cases only. They refer to invisible people in 2024.So they are not objective exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS), the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX and the Athanasius Creed and all the Catechisms which say outside the Church there is no salvation.
Ad Gentes 7 in Vatican Council II says all need faith and baptism for salvation while LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc, cannot be objective exceptions for AG 7, EENS etc.
So the Council supports the old ecclesiology only - and there is no option for liberalism. The Catholic Church becomes traditional once again since the Council has changed. It is no more liberal. It is pro-EENS and the Athanasius Creed
