The ignorance on the NBC issue is astounding. If you believe Cruz was eligible to run, it can't be based on where he was born. Automatic citizenship at birth in the USA comes from the 14th amendment. It has nothing to do with the NBC clause. The 14th allowed all freed slaves to claim citizenship even though their parents weren't. It was never tested, but I suppose you could say that the first generation was ineligible.
Trump only ever asked: “why doesn’t he just produce the birth certificate?” The idea that he was born in Kenya came from the Hillary campaign and was pushed by her attorney Phil Berg. Later, it was discovered that he allowed his Law Review biography to state that he was “born in Kenya and raised in Hawaii” for 17 years. BHO was a birther.
That’s very true about Trump. The fact that he accepted that green pdf was another disappointment. But, like the “vaccine” he rushed to take credit for it.
