Preppy Taylor Has Scoop — Soupy Did NOT Shut It Down ICK

Edit: did anyone pray and fast for this like Father Z asked? Preppy thinks people who believed this were dumb. 😂

Going out on a limb there Prep!
I now hope the ICKSP did get shut down. Last thing we need is an oracle in the form of Preppy Taylor.

As usual, "click bate" from Marshall. The decree removing faculties from the Institute in Chicago goes into effect on 1st August. Nothing was going to "happen" over the weekend.

This was addressed from the pulpit at my ICKSP parish. Mr. Taylor is out to lunch.

Zuhlsdorf the Lard would do well to undertake the discipline of an extended fast himself before he issues unctious appeals for others to do the bread and water grovel.
Intercession for the exotic IKKY clergy in Chicago would be best directed for them to join the Catholic Church in practice as well as word.

Z-boy telling others to fast makes me LOL.
His food obsession borders on the psychotic, but it beats him chasing little boys.

Nobody transported in time a century and more to today would recognize the Catholic Church in the average modern western gathering space. I suppose that's by design. Even Lord Acton and "Saint" John Henry Newman would be utterly appalled.

Patrick Keenan said...

Nobody at the Council of Jerusalem at the end of the first half of the First Century AD would recognize what was done to the Church by Gregory VII or the Council of Trent for that matter.
Jesus Christ would feel humiliated and betrayed.

Tancred said...

They had chant, liturgical offices in a liturgical space, Eucharist and all in an archaizing and hieratic language.

Shepherd of Hermas is completely alien to the Masonic liturgy of Paul VI.

Not one "conservative" bishop in the USA has criticized Cupich for his shutdown of the ICK in Chicago. There are no good guys in the novus ordo hierarchy.

Why do people on this blog dislike Fr. z?

Anonymous said...

Do you regularly read his posts?
That should give you your answer.

Patrick Keenan said: "Nobody at the Council of Jerusalem at the end of the first half of the First Century AD would recognize what was done to the Church by Gregory VII or the Council of Trent for that matter.
Jesus Christ would feel humiliated and betrayed."

But you know, Patrick Keenan, better than all of the collected Church Magisterial Tradition, YOU know all about the traditions and liturgy of threat first 50 years. You are the depository of all ancient knowledge. You - Patrick Keenan. The Dogmatic Council of Trent, and its three separate sessions over the span of 18 years under the Dogmatic authority of Pope St. Pius V (hero of Lepanto) ... it is as nothing compared to you, Patrick Keenan, and your knowledge.

Btw, Patrick ... it is not an option whether you accept Trent or not. If you wish to be Catholic - Trent binds you to believe every word and punctuation mark.

Dogma def: "truth revealed by God, which the magisterium of the Church declares as binding".

Patrick, was Vatican Council II Dogmatic, or Pastoral?

Pastoral def: "comes from the Latin, pastor, meaning “shepherd,” and thus refers to the work and concern of the shepherd for his sheep".

IOW, Vatican II was a *non-binding* Council meant to help Shepherds in their pastoral duties. Non-binding. Non-dogmatic. Whatever in it that is in opposition to Trent Catholics not only can, but MUST reject as against the Faith.

TLM was carefully sourced in antiquity (unlike NuMass which was created extemporaneously by ecumenical committee) by the best Catholic minds and given the imprimature of Pope St. Pius V in Papal Bull as guaranteed by right of the Faith for all Catholics forever in the context of careful explanation of its solid roots and branches in Catholic antiquity and Divine Revelation.

Quo Primum ... read it.

As to Taylor's claims that all is well - the order from Cupich specifies end of July, not end of the next weekend.

We'll see.

Tancred said...

Taylor is just a gayekeeper for someone or something bad.

Gaybrielle got his degree in Maynooth where people practice
creative archaism of the liturgy.

Notice how archaistic bog tinkerers like to bring back things that suit their progressive and all-permissible morality? None advocate for Communal penance or the severe penances of the early church.

Or restoring the office of porter and getting the catechumens into the. Narthex after the Gospel.

PK said...

"None advocate for Communal penance or the severe penances of the early church."
While you're at it Captain Flagellation, why not resume burning heretics of your choosing at the stake and in public. I think that could work for you.
And while you're gathering the fire wood, how about giving the reader a personal demonstration of 'severe penance' you are lauding>

PK said...

Mr Waterman,
If you knew anything about the theology of Church Councils you would know that the Magisterium of Vatican II provide the means by which all preceding Councils are to be understood. Every Pope since Paul VI has repeated this.
And, BTW, read Lumen Gentium and Gaudium et Spes both of which are Dogmatic Constitutions on the Church and the Church in the Modern World. Vatican II and its Magisterium are not options but essential for understanding the Church, its Tradition and its Mission.
I recommend the Abbots edition. It's in plain English.
Let's know how you fared, H2O person.

I like how father Z broke the news (“let’s call the intention “”I”’) then chided others for talking about it.

BT said...

Z is a narcissistic, gormandizing grifter who flourishes on the other's dime. He has no hope of getting patronage from a US bishop after his appalling fraudulent performance in Madison.
If the bastard had any sense of service to the Church, he would return to the Italian diocese in which he is both incardinated and held up as a joke. But that would be the end of 'My view for a while'......

Aqua said...

PK said: "If you knew anything about the theology of Church Councils you would know that the Magisterium of Vatican II provide the means by which all preceding Councils are to be understood."

There is no such thing as the "Magisterium of Vatican II". You made that up. And you made it up because you favor a new church that is not Catholic. Vatican II, from that perspective is magic pixie dust that lets malign actors take what is not theirs and make it into their own image. There is the Magisterium. And there is heresy.

The Catholic Church and its Magisterium doesn't change. Ever. Revelation ended with the death of St. John the Apostle on Patmos. Nothing new can be added or subtracted from the Faith. To the extent that the II Vatican Council, and especially its subsequent Constitutions, changed anything it is anti-Catholic. To the extent it expands, explains and aligns with prior Catholic dogma, it is Catholic.

Trent was not overthrown by Vatican II. You may wish that it did; Trent may be inconvenient for your beliefs; Trent is Dogma - an essential foundation (not the only one) of the authoritative Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Revolutionaries hate Trent because it stops them from doing what revolutionaries do. Sorry to tell you, Vatican II did not change *anything*.

FWIW, Gaybrielle went to Liverpool, not Dublin.

PK said...

H20 person,
Trent was not overthrown by Vatican II which contains, interprets and passes on the central teaching of all previous Councils. That's the teaching of the Church whether you like it or not.
BTW, Quam Primum has been suppressed just as Benedict's Summorum Pontificium. They no longer have status in Catholic Sacramental teaching.

As for gradual change in the Church's Magisterium, read St John Henry Newman's Tract on the development of Church teaching in 'On Consulting the Laity on Matters of Doctrine."
Bet you won't, but if you do, let us know what you have learned.
Off you go,

PK said “Quam Primum has been suppressed just as Benedict's Summorum Pontificium. They no longer have status in Catholic Sacramental teaching.”

Suppressed … ?
Catholic Sacramental teaching … ?

You are not Catholic. I see that now. None of what you say makes sense, but it’s because you are not Catholic. You don’t understand what you’re talking about. You want everything Protestantized, and VII has the tools you need to make the case. You’re not the first.

Back to the ICKSP news; despite the bullshit campaign of dissemblers such as the dodgy free loader Zuhlsdorf and other incendiaries, the Archdiocese of Chicago has in fact deeded the property, severely damaged in a fire in 2015, to the Institute. See the Archdiocesan press release from a couple of days ago:

Shrine of Christ the King to be Stabilized
Archdiocese Deeds Building and Property to the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest
Chicago, IL (February 28, 2016) – The Archdiocese of Chicago today announced that it has deeded the Shrine of Christ the King in Woodlawn and the land on which it stands to the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. The members of the apostolic institute have confirmed that they have received sufficient funds for the immediate stabilization of the historic Shrine building, ravaged by fire in October 2015 and which has been determined to be in hazardous condition. The Institute has committed itself to promptly remedying the dangerous condition created by the fire and then following through with the full restoration of the building.

“We express our deep gratitude to all the individuals and organizations whose most generous and timely donations helped bring us to this moment. We are mindful of the dangerous condition of the Shrine and will begin stabilization immediately with funds already collected,” said Reverend Canon Matthew L. Talarico, Provincial Superior for the Institute in the United States.. “We are grateful to the Archdiocese for its partnership throughout our ministry in Woodlawn, especially during this difficult time. Since the day of the fire the collaboration with the Archdiocese has been remarkable: frequent communication, hard work and prayer.”

Last week's bulletin for the ICK church in Chicago contained the notification that 'we are no longer accepting requests/stipends for public Masses. That is a pretty clear signal that the party's over.

Of course, it's also possible that they inserted that to put pressure on their donors/parishioners to send letters, pray harder, etc.--but I doubt it.

Still and all, there is no official notification from either the Chancery OR the parish.

In earnest, I’d love to know what was fraudulent in Madison. I’m in that diocese (but didn’t attend “his” mass) and know people at the Diocesan offices, but no one will comment on him.

Sorry, but that Press Release was from 2016 [check the text itself], not a few days ago. Faculties expire on the last day of July. Full Stop.

God bless Francis for having the courage to take action where his predecessors only dragged their feet. See how you like skisim you 🐴-holes!

You seem nice.
You must be with Blaise Cupich's posse.
(But ask your boss the correct spelling of schism).

Anonymous said...

I’d like to know also what is supposedly fraudulent about Z in Madison.

I suppose it’s because Gaybrielle doesn’t like orthodox clergy who have a concept of sin.

Anonymous said...

Supposedly, Z. was throwing Exorcisms around toward left-wing politicians and the Bishop in Madison said, "Not on my watch".
He then invited him to scram.

Is this account true? Who knows?

Anonymous said...

What action did he take that you find most appealing? The abrogation of The Holy Sacrifice, guaranteed by Dogmatic Council of Trent? The dissolution of Catholic communities and Societies, faithful in every way to Sacred Tradition and scrupulously faithful to all Ctholic Dogmas? Does it give you pleasure to see communities of Faithful, such as the ICKSP, unmoored from their Parish and dissolved? What is the crime, Hal? Upon what basis does Crdl Cupich abrogate our fundamental Catholic *right* to approach Calvary with every generation of Catholic through the Mass of Trent?

I'll take it one step further ... define the schismatic act of ICKSP or any other Society that is sourced in the Dogmatic permissions of the Council of Trent. What schism?

Ultimately, the only schism that matters is the one defined and judged by our Lord God who will judge us for our belief, our acts and our love - love of Him and our "neighbor". Athanasius' dictum rings true: "They have the buildings; we have the Faith".

Anonymous said...

So?

BT said...

Zuhlsdorf the Lard acted fraudulently and gravely so by dishonestly claiming the authority of the local bishop to use the Rite of Exorcism against public figures that he (Zuhnssorf) had/has issue with. In response, the bishop had him vacate the diocese.
His own diocese id in Italy, near Rome.

Zuhlsdorf has no welcome in any US diocese any more so he's now back to full time scamming and grifting (Dorothy Dix articles with links all over the place to merchandising are a favorite) to support his top shelf lifestyle. Note another 'My View for a While' back to Rome in October for another few weeks of high price 'business' on the donor's dime.

He also no allied himself with 'Cancelled priests', a bunch of whining narcissistic misfits like himself.

Seeing as Z is not an exorcist, that’s a dangerous business. Furthermore, it’s tacky.

For years there was a widely read blog entitled "What does the priest actually do?" The blog has gone but the question and related ones continue.
Fatso the Grifter continues to live far better than most diocesan clergy with his scams and capers. No wonder the bastard is allergic to honest work for the Kingdom of God.
It's good to maintain a healthy Eschatology.

I remember that blog.
The Priest who wrote it was laser focused on zapping Z's pomposity.
It was good for a laugh.

TZ was an unhinged gay bear.

Anonymous said...

Gaybrielle, aka BT, etc, Z does what priests are supposed to do, giving counsel and teaching the Catholic faith. What do you do besides collect a benefits check?

More importantly, what does the average NO clergyman actually do?

Anonymous said...

You don’t have to be an exorcist to perform exorcisms. Real priests routinely perform them by blessing medals and other objects.

I think the homo bishop of Zs old diocese just resents the Catholic Faith and doesn’t want his Democratic Constituent’s brand harmed.

BT said...

That sure got John Todd's supine adorers arced up. Keep the $$$$ going the Lard's way, He's off on another Italian feeding frenzy in just a couple of months on your dime.

Most people don’t know why Aqua. Now you do. It refers to Water, never-ending streams of water, from the side of Our Blessed Lord.
