The II Vatican Council is something. But it is not the only thing.
Sacred Tradition and the collected Magisterium of the Church which gives the Faithful *ALL* Doctrinal Truth is everything and the only thing.
Does the II Vatican Council, with the subsequent Liturgy and the Constitutions that were promulgated therefrom, *fit within Sacred Tradition, the collected Magisterium and all its Doctrinal Truth? Or no?
No. It does not. Not even close. That is why those who support Vatican II, its subsequent Liturgy and Constitutions, and the poor suffering and declining Parishes do not even attempt to connect one to the other. Vatican II, Vatican II, Vatican II, always and ever Vatican II!
Timothy Gordon: there are many things you must accept to remain a Catholic … a heretical Council is not one of them. As Arbp LeFebvre put it - “accept all in V II that can be accepted; reject that which must be rejected (paraphrase)”. That is basic Catholicism..
Vatican II is dying of old age in front of our eyes. No need to vent one's Spleen over it. The only people that care about it will not be here in 20 years.
The unwavering teaching of the Magisterium from Vatican II through all the Popes since is that Vatican II contains, teaches and preserves all of the Councils that preceded it. Rejecting or cherry picking Vatican II leads to schism, doctrinal relativism and just another brand of fundamentalism.
Besides arranging the deck chairs of the Titanic, arguing whether or not Vatican II can be rejected is a moot point. The council was a pastoral council, the first of it's kind, that decided nothing, really. What it did do, in the "spirit of Vatican II" was give aid, cover and provide access to the enemies of the Church.
These enemies have been in high gear since employing a parallel "magisterium" to give the appearance of legitimacy to their demonic efforts. God knows who they are and what they're doing and has allowed it to happen in order to bring a greater good out of it. It's no mystery and has been prophesied many times since the time of Christ.
Francis et,al.,will have their hour but God will win the day. Nothing you or I can do can change the course except the remedy given to us by Our Blessed Mother at Fatima...pray the Rosary everyday for sinners, sacrifice and make reparation for sin. Cooperate with His Grace KNOW the Faith and preach the Sacred Deposit of Faith we have have received. Please...have Faith and Trust in God. Again, this is a test. Now lets do our part and get out of His way...
It was too early. All sin is taking things too early. You can't create these goals before the other things happen. That's why they happen now anyway and the church dies..
There are two phrases that are simply part of the lingo. The first is: "Built like a Mack Truck!" And the second is: "Dumber than a box of Vatican II Bishops!"
Vatican II was purposefully written with major loopholes. Loopholes exploited to usher in the church apostate, false church, ape church. Pick a prophecy. As such, its fruits are rotten.
The texts of Vatican II have always sounded like they were written by a gaggle of pagan Lesbian Nuns. Much like some of the Eucharistic Prayers spoken at the N.O. Mass and those tedious, seemingly endless, Prayers of the Faithful.
In every Novus Ordo parish I’ve ever been a member of, I was able to stop the Prayers of the Faithful. Simply wait your turn, which will be when they seem to be nearing an end, then request: For the Conversion of the Jews... A noticeably reduced number will reply “Lord hear our prayer”, the pastor will look at his feet 👣, and you won’t have this the following Saturday evening.
Alternatively, I’m told you can also say: “For those courageous people who are losing their jobs because of the vaccine mandates”. You’ll be able to hear a pin drop.
You cant. Who gets to deciide Church teaching? You or the “Pope?”

On the flip side, you can't only accept V2.

ReplyDeleteIf Vatican II was right in 1964, it’s wrong today.
ReplyDeleteI wore an onion 🧅 tied to my belt in the days before Vatican 2 and Piex the 22nd because that was the fashion of the day. Fashions change.
