Remember When?
[Mesa in Latino] But couldn't these prelates take more care of the empty churches, the empty seminaries, the dead children killed in mothers' womb, instead of taking care of Salvini?
Andra Zambrano, also happily HERE reminds him of the organization of the gala at the MET in New York with thePope Rihanna and side by side with John Paul II's casules mixed with leather caps for bondage (on the disgusting story see MiL HERE. But, as we know, as Merlin said in the film Excalibur, man's trouble is that he forgets.

Also Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, the Vatican "Minister of Culture", stands against Matteo Salvini. «Faith is an existential experience, a radical choice. Religion is the outward manifestation. Shaking the Gospel, showing off the rosary, kissing the crucifix does not necessarily make you a believer ». Thus, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, Cardinal Ravasi, theologian and biblicist and president of the Pontifical Council for Culture.
"Christ condemns those who make external gestures"
In particular, to the reporter's question as to whether theMinister Matteo Salvini with his recent behavior was wrong or not, Ravasi replied: "These are signs that in themselves do not represent the authenticity of belief. Christ condemns those who take the first places in the synagogue, those who parade the phylacteries, the parchments with the verses of the Torah. Christ forgives all sins, but cannot bear hypocrisy. Self-salvation does not exist. One is not saved by outward manifestations, but by profound adherence to moral and existential choices. It is not the ritual gesture that saves. The sacrament is "opus operatum", an objective act marked by the divine presence, but also "opus operantis", a subjective act, a vital and moral choice. Otherwise it is magic ritual. Magic.”

Let's here what Holy Scripture has to say.
ReplyDeleteHere, here (sic)
ReplyDeleteSic em grammar Gestapo.
ReplyDeleteSic transit gloria mundi.
ReplyDeleteI saw Ravasi once chatting very affably with the very gay-acting music director of a large urban parish. He presided over “Mass” at one of the real hotbeds of deviant infestation in the Archdiocese. I asked him what he thought of all the Liturgical abuses at this parish and asked him what he thought of their promotion of sodomg. He didn’t care. Let’s just say I wasn’t surprised when he promoted that very gay ecclesiastical fashion show.
Delete"Christ condemns those who make external gestures"
ReplyDeleteItaly is a beautiful country that used to have many public processions - such as with The Cross in Holy Week and with The Blessed sacrament and with Statues of Joseph and Mary on St Joseph's Feast Day.
Was Christ condemning those public external gestures?
How about Francis putting around Saint Peter's Square in his rig, stopping to kiss babies, or having a family with a handicapped boy positioned alongside a road outside of Rome so the Popemobile could stop and have the photographed moment - the photographer was also staged there in advance - plastered all over the world?
What about the Wednesday audiences, etc etc , or the plane interviewers...?

ReplyDeleteYes, the family just happened to be there on that particular day, along with a cop and other family members, prepared to film this unexpected encounter (cough, cough) because everyone in Italy knows what road the Pope will be traveling on any particular day and at what time.
Parading works before men, did Mr Burke, Pope PR man, get scolded for this by Ravasi?
ABS (a timely admission of inadequacy!) Try this kind of cowardly sniping at Pope Francis on Hunwicke's site and see how long you last.
ReplyDeleteWho cares?
DeleteRavasi was a protegé of card. Martini.........it's a long long story......to be continued.
ReplyDeleteHe was pretty thick with some very suspicious characters I saw him accompanying, so it wouldn’t surprise me.
DeletePray for the IBMC of Italy to receive mainstream exposure.
ReplyDeleteIBMC are Trad-Catholic order of religious in Italy with valid Holy Orders.
They believe and practice the Faith of our Fathers, not an anti-council circa 1962-1965.
