Ziemetshausen (kath.net) While in some places the sacrament of confession is almost dead, it blooms in Maria Vesperbild. The pilgrimage directorate of Maria Vesperbild draws attention to this in a press release. "Maria Vesperbild do not complain about many other places of pilgrimage: In 2018, 10,247 people confessed their sins in Maria Vesperbild. We know that very well because every confessor records the number of penitants. More than 10,000 people have thus relieved their conscience and have come to terms with themselves and with God. "The Department of Sanctity recalls that these confessions are a blessing" also for society, for families and any other community, because "that is more than 10 000 people who do not let themselves go, but fight against their great and small wickedness and, in addition, avail themselves of God's help.” Furthermore, in Maria Vesperbild nine priests for confessions and confessional talks are available.
In the sacrament of confession, Jesus Christ forgives the penitent and assigns to him the fruits of His suffering and death on the cross, as kathpedia explains confession. God forgives the penitent through the mediation and words of the priest. Only a consecrated priest, legally authorized by the Church, has the authority to administer the sacrament of confession.
Pope Francis had made several confessions in St. Peter's Cathedral in front of cameras in order to invite the faithful to emulate his own example.

This 'sanctuary' in brazil seats 10,000 each Sunday and features Jewish worship (like most evangelical churches) -- does anybody know when satana opus devil schneiker last spent 7 years in Brazil? The same thing that happened in the U.S.seems to have happened there: all the honest pro-life Catholics (who use birth control) ditched the fake protestant guitar mass, the slimy double talking sodomite pedophile non-religious and the pro-abort politicians and joined the evangelicals: "Between 1970 to 2010, the Evangelical (mostly Pentecostal) population grew from five to 22 percent of Brazil’s population. During an early 90s growth spurt, a galaxy of Pentecostal denominations, small and large, were opening new churches at the rate of one per day. ...Jair Bolsonaro’s victory on a far-right platform was powered by historic levels of support from Brazil’s Evangelicals, 40 million and counting, three quarters of whom practice one or another strain of Pentecostalism. As a bloc, they voted three-to-one for Bolsonaro, a portent of a historical shift in the politics of the world’s most religious nation....The Catholic Church has made adjustments in an attempt to stop the bleeding of converts...A recent Pew survey found that about half of Brazilian Catholics now identify as charismatics, practicing a Catholicism that can look and sound a lot like Pentecostalism with a Pope.
ReplyDeletePolitically, the Bolsonaro government provides a window into what Mauro Lopes, editor of Brazil 247 and a leading liberal journalist, sees as a convergence between right-wing Catholic fundamentalists and the Evangelicals. “The Catholics of the extreme right supported Bolsonaro in the elections and now they are receiving him as one of their own,” he says. “[This alliance] is getting clearer every day.”
This Catholic-Evangelical alliance reflects Bolsonaro’s own identity. Although now officially Born Again, he has not renounced his Catholicism.
In the past, Catholic bishops and archbishops denounced Macedo’s operation as criminal and blasphemous, with its blessed envelopes for donations and bottles of magic oil from Israel. But in 2016, the Archbishop of Rio, Cardinal Orani Tempesta, openly supported the successful candidacy of Macedo’s nephew and UCKG bishop, Marcelo Crivella, for mayor of Rio. (When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited a group of Brazilian Evangelicals in Rio last December, it was Crivella who welcomed him and hosted the ceremony.)

I’m sort of confused as to what any of this has to do with the OP.
DeleteOh those simple Brazilians:
ReplyDeleteRIO DE JANEIRO — The mayor of this sultry metropolis slashed funding for Carnival, the city's gay pride parade and a procession honoring an Afro-Brazilian goddess. Mayor Marcelo Crivella, a Pentecostal Christian, calls the moves fiscal prudence. But Rio's liberals see a thinly veiled crusade to impose God's law from city hall.
As political polarization intensifies in the United States, Latin America's largest nation is locked in its own escalating culture wars, with the rise of an increasingly powerful religious right.
Evangelical politicians such as Crivella — a 60-year-old bishop and former gospel singer who once claimed that homosexuality could result from botched abortions — are finding enormous success in Brazil. Their rise comes as conservative Protestant faiths make massive inroads in this predominantly Catholic country and as corruption scandals taint traditional political parties, causing more Brazilians to vote outside the box.

Just like in the U.S. if you put it to the VC2 Brazilian people, married priests would win by a landslide. But when was the Church founded to do what the PEOPLE want--what's wrong w/you opus devils is that you think you're supposed to run everything (that's why you cling so hard to VC2--the laity (ME) was 'empowered' (and aren't all you opus devil super-pooperaries married?).That's why you don't even recognize when your satana bishop is leading you to hell. Who cares whether the Brazilian VC2 people 'want' married priests or not: what does God want? The Jewish priesthood was celibate when offering sacrifice to God. The VC2 pedophile presbyters never offer sacrifice to God, so sure they can be married (or female) just like every devil worshiping protestant 'minister'--and all the laity can be re-married as many times as they want--just like Henry VIII.
