The bishops had agreed that the guidance published now is not an official decision text of the German Bishops' Conference (DBK). Each individual bishop decides for himself whether he will implement the guidelines in his diocese.
The compromise could also be supported by the seven conservative bishops, who had previously complained to the Pope under the leadership of the Cologne Cardinal Rainer Woelki. Francis had initially stopped the progress of the German bishops, later declaring that he did not want to put a stop to ecumenical efforts. It is important to him that the guide is not understood as the official text of the Episcopal Conference.
»Valuable orientation guide«
The paper submitted by the German Bishops' Conference was a "valuable orientation aid," according to the Archdiocese of Paderborn as it has now explained on request of the WESTPHALIAN NEWS. The paper offers spiritual help for the conscientious decision in pastoral cases for interchurch couples. Archbishop Hans-Josef Becker emphasizes: "At the meeting of the Priestly Council of the Archdiocese of Paderborn on June 27, 2018, I presented my classification and formulated the expectation that all pastoral counselors in the Archdiocese of Paderborn familiarize themselves with the guidance and act accordingly in a pastoral sense. "
Two Christians are linked through baptism, the Christian faith and the sacrament of marriage. For the Protestant spouse of a confessional marriage, there could be a longing and strong desire to receive the Eucharist, [ aslong as the Catholic Faith is desired] and that's why it's about "coming to a conscientious decision," says the head pastor of more than 1.5 million Catholics in 703 congregations Life.
Becker: No general approval
Becker, who has just turned 70, emphasizes: "Interchurch couples and families are just as important to us as ecumenism." The orientation aid does not ignore the question of church fellowship and Eucharistic fellowship and does not answer it in principle.
This was also "no general admission to receive communion." Rather, the archbishop said, it would be a way of pastoral accompaniment to the believers who live in a confessional marriage,” in which Communion reception may be possible in individual cases."
The Evangelical Church of Westphalia had expected this decision. "Incidentally, I assume that the bishops in our region will behave differently on the question of the Eucharist by denominational couples than is currently given by Rome," said outgoing Vice-President Albert Henz recently in an interview with the newspaper.

This confusion and crises regarding the reception of Holy Communion by Protestants (except in serious cases, a blasphemous desecration), is the fault of Pope Francis and his lack of papal leadership.
He has never given Papal leadership in upholding Catholic Truth or Tradition since day one of his pontificate. A pontificate which is a complete failure.
Aside from being a failure with regards to Church teachings and upholding tradition, just on the side of the people of Rome and their support for the Pope, look up June 30th Feast of SS Peter and Paul and see how few turned out for Francis and his new Cardinals and bishops for that day....which IN Rome and Italy always was a HUGE holiday.
I remember as a kid, 12 years ago seeing Pope Benedict XVI officiating at SS Peter and Paul feastdays in St.Peters, and the entire Square was packed, probably 150,000+ faithful.
Pope Francis on the other hand, last Sunday was lucky if he had 5,000.
The entire Square was empty. The wind and tumbleweeds could have been blowing thru it it was so bleak and empty.
I confess, I was glas to see it :) No one deserves those results more than Bergoglio. Too bad it comes at the expense of the Catholic Church and the Faithful.

Kopronymos is back again playing the tired old disingenuous and highly confected numbers game.
With a history of acting like a self-promoting blowhard and historical revisionism, it's no wonder you lost your teaching job.
Back to the cat walk, Felix.
My concern is with valid rumors that the German Conference is working on a multi religious Mass which is devoid of a consecration with a rejection of the "real presence". It is called apostasy and prophesied both by Malachi Martin and the Third Secret which he read.
One of the oldest Eucharistic prayers in the Church's history and still used in the Chaldean, Syriac Rites, is the Anaphora of Addai and Mari (around 3rd Century, maybe even earlier) has no words of consecration but it does have a very long Epiklesis (invocation of the power of the Holy Spirit).
Hey Boris, Buddy Man,
I guess you got tired of using the name Peter W., or Clement. Back to Boris. Must be fun....who shall I pretend to be today?
Sorry to disappoint you, Boris, but I didn't loose my teaching job. I quit/resigned. It was one of the saddest days of my life, but I was not going to bend to the Township guidelines and tell these kids aged 11-14 that it's perfectly normal to be gay, that gay marriage is fantastic, and that if you're a little boy but would be more comfortable as a girl, you can be acknowledged in class as a girl, or vice versa. I wasn't going to allow for any boy in my class who wanted to be a girl( and there were not any), to use the girls' bathroom, etc. So I quit. Of course, you .....if you're a rad liberal (and a priest to boot), might think that there's nothing wrong District guidelines.
As for your snide remark about "back to the cat walk", that's not all there is to modeling, Buddy. Ignorant as usual. It's part, but not all. I'm thirty, and if I stay in it for another 10 years, could retire at 40-45. Could you have done that? I' m not boasting....just saying you should think before you comment. I know you meant it as an insult... but I've done well at it, and have nothing to apologize for. You've probably seen me in magazines and on commercials and never even known it.LOL.
It's a great life and I do a lot more than modeling too.....much better than sitting a room in front of a pc trying to think "Who shall I be today? Everyone will guess who I am, so I better make up another new one..."

###And if you would go onto Youtube and find the 6-30-2018 St.Peter and Paul Festday celebrated by Pop Bergoglio, like I did...you'd see the Vatican coverage, and see the miniscule crowd that came up for the show. Not making it up Buddy Man.....take a look.
