Seminarians of Paris Get to Know Immemorial Mass of All Ages

Seminarians of the seminary of Paris decided in their vast majority to want to know the Immemorial Mass of All Ages
(Paris) 80 seminarians of the Archdiocese of Paris have recently attended Holy Mass in the traditional form of the Roman Rite on February 2nd, at the Feast of Candlemass.

At the feast of Jesus in Templo and Purificatio Mariae, an unprecedented event took place in Paris. The Archdiocesan Seminary of Paris is the largest diocesan seminary in France. On 1 February, the seminarians attended an educational day at which they were introduced to the traditional [real] form of the Roman Rite in the Parisian church of Saint Eugène-Sainte Cecile by the priests working there, the canon lawyers Abbé Marc Guelfucci and Abbé Éric Iborra. Saint Eugène-Sainte Cecile is a parish of the Archdiocese of Paris. Both priests teach at the same time as professors at the archdiocesan seminary.
Holy Mass at the Feast of Candlemass
The Abbot of the old ritual Benedictine monastery of Le Barroux, Dom Louis-Marie de Geyer d'Orth, then celebrated with the seminarians in the church of Saint-Louis-en-l'Île, dedicated to the French King Louis the Saint, at Holy Mass in the so-called extraordinary form, as Pope Benedict XVI. explained it in the Motu proprio Summorum Pontificum .

After decades of harsh rejection and exclusion of the traditional rite, especially in France, where the intra-Church conflict was particularly marked by a strong traditionalist movement, there are signs of rapprochement. This is also evident from the fact that it was the seminarians who, in their absolute majority in the academic year 2017/2018, wanted to study the traditional form of the Roman Rite and the Motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, although, according to Corrispondenza Romana, it was not due to attempts by the diocesan authorities who had failed in the formation of priests to dissuade them.
"The reality is different, and tells of a renewal of the Church, in France and elsewhere, thanks to the traditional orders and communities that attract vocations and now also attract the attention of the future diocesan clergy."
The Benedictine abbey Le Barroux, from which the celebrant was called, goes back to a foundation of Dom Gerard Calvet (1927-2008). The Benedictine rejected the liturgical reform of 1969/1970 as a serious break with tradition and returned as a hermit in the French Alps. After companions joined him, he began in 1978 in Le Barroux with the construction of the monastery.

He maintained close relations with the Society of St. Pius X, founded by Archbishop Marcel, but this did not follow in 1988 on the path of episcopal ordinations not permitted by Rome. He broke the link with the Society of Pius and accepted the offer of the Holy See for reconciliation. His old rite community was canonically recognized by Rome, followed in 1989 by Calvet's deference. Dom Louis-Marie de Geyer d'Orth has been the second abbot of Le Barroux since 2003.

Although the seminary of the Archdiocese of Paris is the largest diocesan seminary in France, the largest seminary in the country, with more than 100 seminarians, is that of the Saint Martin Community, where, in contrast to the diocesan seminaries, the seminarians as in the seminaries of tradition, wear the cassock (vestis talaris).

  1. So what? They offer the TLM with the New Ecclesiology. They interpret Vatican Council II with the false premise instead of without it.They interpret extra ecclesiam nulla salus with Cushingism instead of traditional Feeneyism. It's the same at the Novus Ordo or Byzantine Rite Mass.
They proclaim the Catholic faith with possibilities of salvation outside the Church, speculative cases, as being practical exceptions to traditional EENS. This is the bad religious formation also at the SSPX seminaries.
They do not proclaim the Faith knowing that LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2 ,Gs 22 etc refer to hypothetical cases and not real people. They do not proclaim the Faith knowing that EENS is the ordinary means of salvation.
So they only follow the rubrics of the TLM while their theology and ecclesiology is Novus Ordo.So they are recognised by the present Leftist Magisterium- Lionel Andrades

    1. It’s only the Mass of Saints and Father’s, not an on the spot Masonic product.

    2. It's a common problem and not restricted to only the TLM.

The International Theological Commission(ITC), Vatican made an objective error in two of its theological papers and Catholic parents can correct the error when teaching the Faith to their children : Voice of the Family , Rome Life Forum ignores this family issue

    4. I endorse the Neocatechumenal Way( who are not Montanists) in as much as I endorse the Traditionalists both interpet VC2 as a rupture with the dogma EENS when it is not. Both interpet BOD, BOB and I.I as a rupture with EENS when it is not. Both change the meaning of the Nicene Creed to mean, 'I believe in three or more baptisms for the forgiveness of sins, they include desire, blood, invincible ignorance, seeds of the Word etc.'
They both, Neo Catechumenal Way and the SSPX. interpet BOD,BOB and I.I as referring to known people saved outside the Church and not to invisible people in 2018,so Mystici Corporis and the Catechisms of Pius X and Trent which mention BOD, BOB and I.I are wrongly inferred to be a rupture with Feeneyite EENS and the past exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church. They re-interpret all the Catechisms with this irrationality.

With all this heresy and schism with the past popes I endorse both groups since they are in ignorance, as our Catholics in general and the present magisterium does not enlighten them.
This is the general lex orandi lex credendi for Catholics in all rites.
      You do agree with me?
1.BOD, BOB and I.I refers to visible people for most traditionalists too.
2.Similarly LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 refer to known people saved outside the Catholic Church for the St. Benedict Centers, USA, the SSPX, FSSP and others who offer the Traditional Latin Mass?

  2. Le Barroux uses the Caeremoniale Episcoporum of John Paul II (e.g. no canopy over the throne; use of the pastoral staff at requiems).

  3. Would be wonderful if a Bishop consecrated before July 1968 could ordain the seminarian using the traditional rite of Holy Orders.(or Bp.Rifan)

  4. That was not the "Immemorial Mass of All Ages" but the Bugnini transitional missal of 1962 at best or the "reform of the reform" missal used by the Community of St. Martin in France. The same one +Fellay claimed that if ABL had seen it celebrated, "he would not have taken the step he did".

The Immemorial Mass of All Ages does not require any permission:

“…this missal is hereafter to be followed absolutely, without any scruple of conscience or fear of incurring any penalty, judgment or censure, and may freely and lawfully be used… Nor are superiors, administrators, canons, chaplains, and other secular priests, or religious, of whatever title designated, obliged to celebrate the Mass otherwise than as enjoined by Us. … Accordingly, no one whatsoever is permitted to infringe or rashly contravene this notice of Our permission, statute, ordinance, command, precept, grant, direction, will, decree and prohibition. Should any person venture to do so, let him understand he will incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul.”

  5. Summorum Pontificum doesn’t require any permission.

  6. The purpose of Summorum Pontificum is to bring the E.D. communities back to the Novus Ordo slowly but surely. No permission necessary? Yes, if you accept the Novus Ordo as being the "Ordinary Form".

    1. No, it just says that they can’t exclude the New Mass as a “matter of principle.”

    2. SP also props up the bastard mass.
Who needs that bull puckey when we've got QUO PRIMUM?

    3. The Novus Ordo Mass is still the Sacrifice of Jesus in an unbloody way. I have attended Mass in Italian and English which were solemn and sacred.-Lionel

  7. As a former Vincentian seminarian, the key issue with the Latin Mass was as a source of grace freely given from God. The Novus Ordo does not have that and is totally an experience similar to the drive through at KFC or McDonald's.---Malachi Martin who was a former Jesuit and died in 1999 wrote that God has withdrawn grace from His Church. He is allowing the turmoil and heresy for His own Divine reasons. This is all about the establishment of a new belief system based on world unity. It would appear that Scripture is viewed as an outdated document.---In the modern view, John the Baptist deserved the losing of his head for obstructing feminine supremacy. The Christ Himself is now viewed as just a man in the sense of Jesus Christ Super Star and seduction by Mary Magdalen. Saul of Tarsus today would be cut into tiny pieces and scattered to the winds.---The horror of what is going on "below the radar" is horrific. The "Day of the Long Knives" is being prepared when there will be a world wide socialist uprising. That is where the Third Secret comes in. Even what has been released is horrific with the deaths of large numbers of priests and nuns and the execution of a pope with swords and arrows (missiles) and the destruction of Rome.--This is all reminiscent of the Bolshevik Revolution as well as the French Revolution before it.

    1. I think not fasting after midnight for Holy Communion has added to our current disaster.

For CENTURIES Catholics fasted after midnight for Holy Communion & the Church was able to navigate through disaster after disaster, heresy after heresy,Evil Pope's/Anti-Pope's,the Crusades, the Protestant revolt,Communism,etc...

1953/1957 Pius XII reduces the fast to 3 hrs,and within 16 yrs the Holy Catholic Church is brought to it's knees.

This is no coincidence Bros & Sisters.
We must fast after midnight for Holy Communion.
Dire circumstances call for dire action.

  9. World wide seminarian totals down 25,000 since Pope Francis was elected in 2013.

Last year in the USA, 590 priestly ordinations. This year-2018-- 430. A 30% drop and likely another big plunge next year.
    Thank you, Pope Francis.
