[Abyssum Abyssus Invocat] Recent commentaries by blogger Steve Skojec (A Brief Note on The Question of a Legally Valid Papal Election) and canon lawyer Edward Peters (Francis was never pope? Call me unpersuaded.) are very misleading regarding their interpretation of Universi Dominici Gregis, paragraph 76. Skojec does not acknowledge or reference Universi Dominici Gregis, paragraph 5 in his commentary, while Peters casually references paragraph 5 but goes on to makes it sound like canon lawyers have a role in the interpretation of Universi Dominici Gregis.
Neither canon lawyers, nor bishops, nor priests, nor laity have standing with regard to the official interpretation of Universi Dominici Gregis.
“Should doubts arise concerning the prescriptions contained in this Constitution, or concerning the manner of putting them into effect, I (Pope John Paul II) decree that all power of issuing a judgment in this regard belongs to the College of Cardinals, to which I grant the faculty of interpreting doubtful or controverted points. I also establish that should it be necessary to discuss these or other similar questions, except the act of election, it suffices that the majority of the Cardinals present should concur in the same opinion.” [Universi Dominici Gregis, paragraph 5]
[Relevant Paragraph]
It is essential that my commentary (Election of Pope Francis Pursuant to Universi Dominici Gregis) be widelydisseminated. Why? Neither fraternal (i.e., Dubia) nor filial correction will dismantle the modernist infrastructure put in place by Jorge Mario Bergoglio (Pope Francis) – but a finding that the election of Bergoglio (Pope Francis) was invalid will invalidate his selection of modernist bishops and cardinals. Compared to fraternal/filial correction, all concerned Catholics need to understand the significance of my argument – reference modernist infrastructure – that the election of Jorge Mario Bergoglio (Pope Francis) was not valid.

Really sad state of affairs to even have to ask this question.
ReplyDeleteI was such a happy little convert and project Rachel pro-life speaker until Jorge the asshat came on the scene.
ReplyDeleteI was once a happy little convert too. Then I was awaken from NO Matrix. Now I'm a grumpy and rigid Catholic, and I'm not even old (late 20s).
DeleteLifelong (supposedly) Catholic who converted first to the Novus Ordo, then converted again to Tradition or the true faith, only took like 30 some years of wandering int he desert to find it.
DeleteYup. Fled the Anglican mess only to find that half the bishops of the Roman church wanted to make the same mess in the mother ship. Idiots.
DeleteI LOVE Bp. Gracida.....he's always been a faithful, orthodox warrior; and he paid the price for it in persecution from his 'brothers' and others. He was former military, and is unafraid of anything (except God's judgment, and that's the sign of a Saint). He has always spoken the Truth in season and out of season, and I fear he's a voice crying in the wilderness....with the sound of crickets responding. But continue to speak Truth he does....may God bless this magnificent shepherd....and may the Holy Spirit knock sense into red-capped heads to convene a conclave at Benedict's death and elect this good bishop as the next pope....the ACTUAL 266.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a concerted effort of all the now 150+ scholars who issued the fraternal correction of Francis, to use their energy now to study and research, together with Cardinals who are not in favor of Pope Francis (and there are many....but to much wimps to do anything about it), to study the issue, prove what many of us believe....that Francis is not a legit Pope....and thus bring him and his apparatus bent on destroying the Catholic Faith down. (Long sentence, sorry).
ReplyDeleteBut I have believed, ever since I read about the clique of radical Cardinals who orchestrated Bergoglios election (Daneels, Kasper, Murphy-Oconner), that Francis is not a legit Pope, that his election is invalid because it did not follow the rules JP II laid down, plus the overt campaigning for him.....and Bergoglio campaigning for himself, but be revealed.
Bergoglio is an anti-Pope.....if not the anti-Christ (which he may be also).
Any which way you spin it, Francis is a questionable Pope, and should be forced to go.

Well said as usual.
DeleteThis is all predictable, trite and extremely naïve chest thumping. Feel better, boys?
DeleteNow what are you going to alter distasteful reality to that of your own liking?
Ben,
DeleteIt's naïve of you, buddy, to think that nothing is happening, or that this is our distasteful reality that we just have to live thru. Kings, emperors, and presidents have been brought down,,,or so badly damaged that they are lame-duck figureheads that no one cares about, for scandals much less than what's going on in the Vatican of Pope Francis. Don't be surprised if he surprises the world and quits. That's how bad the scandals are....and he's done a lot to make any scandals under poor Pope Benedict XVI look like an episode of "I Love Lucy" or "Seinfeld"......a situation which is so bizarre that it's not necessarily comic, but we laugh anyway because it is so ridiculous.
The scandals under Francis, much of his own making, are neither bizarre or comic. It's pure corruption and evil....no joking matter.
Each month, there's something else. The Correction was an explosion in the Vatican. Cardinals, bishops, and priests in the Vatican and elsewhere who hate Francis and his agenda, but before were too afraid to look at his agenda in the face are starting to stand against him.
Burke taking that new post at the Apostolic Signature didn't betray anyone...and he's not out of commission to follow thru with the end result of the Dubia. It's a part-time position, as Burke explained. He hasn't bowed to Francis.
The only bad thing in this disgusting affair which is the Papacy of Francis, is that the world-wide media LOVE him, in the same way that they HATE Trump. Which might make it harder to bring Francis down. But the good men in the Vatican (Burke included), and elsewhere will. Before too long.
It's all snowball so much that Francis will either suddenly kick off to his reward....or quit. Either one.
I took my break to type this....now gotta run to teaching 2nd period History....Ciao!

The light at the end of your tunnel is the headlight of an onrushing train.
DeleteOh, if only. One would be hard pressed to find Cardinals likely to find he wasn't properly elected. I know almost zip, but BXVI's idea of a dual papacy and St. Gallen's mafia made the whole thing unlikely, but not enough people in charge admit to it, so, that issue seems dead.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, we must remember "With God all things are possible."
So, why is B16 silent?
DeleteThere is an outstanding European arrest warrant in force for Joseph Ratzinger. That's why he demanded that he live on Vatican soil and dress as though he is still Benedict XVI.
DeleteThe Vatican can't afford to have a Pope indicted for past crimes of covering up clerical child sexual abuse cases in his former archdiocese of Munich-Freising.
Shut up Gaybrielle, if anyone belongs in prison it's the evil Daneels and his enabler who's living in luxury on an entire floor in Santa Marta.
DeleteThat won't lead to a cancellation of the active arrest warrant for Joseph Ratzinger. Whining and ululating might make you feel better, Tancred, but the sources of your discomfort will remain. Get used to it.
Deleteya mean the 'warrant' issued by the “citizen-based Tribunal of Conscience”, that also included Queen Elizabeth and Stephen Harper?
Deleteshaaaddduupp you stooooopid scheissekopf
Charming.
DeleteB16 is a kind of conservative modernist, but the interesting thing about him is that he was not resistant to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
ReplyDeleteJP2 was a different story. He did lay the foundations for Bergoglio the Jacobin. Fact is, Woityla was Danton in the sense that whole he upheld that the average person of any serious or reasonable faith can be drawn to authentic human dignity in the material and natural world. But it was his belief in the majority understanding and upholding human dignity by virtue of his goodness, based on Man's creation in the image of God.
It was a gnostic touchy-feel thing.
But Bergoglio was a different story. He does not have any need of human goodness. Begoglio just accepts the religious indifference of JP2, with a cynical lack of belief or trust in people to achieve goodness and just settles for acceptance of evil as a normal thing of life that is to be nonchalantly "expected".
A little knowledge is not only dangerous. It's stupid as well.
Deleteyeah feybriel, maybe that should be your next moniker..."a wee-wee little knowledge".
Delete"Page 117, of the pope's book, On Heaven and Earth, in regards to same-sex unions
ReplyDelete“If there is a union of a PRIVATE NATURE, THERE IS NEITHER A THIRD PARTY NOR IS SOCIETY AFFECTED. Now, if this union is given the category of marriage and they are given adoption rights, there could be children affected. Every person needs a male father and female mother that can help them shape their identity. - Jorge Mario Bergoglio
Approval of same-sex sexual unions is approval of same-sex sexual acts.
Prior to being elected pope, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, by condoning same-sex sexual acts in relationships that he referred to as private, did not include children, and were not called marriage, denied the Sanctity of the marital act. To deny the Sanctity of the marital act, is to deny that God, The Most Holy And Undivided Blessed Trinity, Is The Author of Love, of Life, and of Marriage, and thus deny Salvational Love, God's Gift of Grace and Mercy. To deny The Divinity of The Blessed Trinity, is an act of apostasy. One cannot be an apostate and in communion with Christ and His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, simultaneously.( Catholic Canon 750 and The Law of Noncontradiction.
Our Call to Holiness, has always been a Call to be Chaste in our thoughts, in our words, and in our deeds.
Reordering and identifying human persons according to sexual desire/inclination/ orientation, which sexually objectifies the human person, and denies the inherent Dignity of our beloved sons and daughters, in direct violation of God's Commandment regarding lust and the sin of adultery, is a complete renunciation of Christ and His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
