Is there a story that goes with this photo.....looks pretty expected to me, Pope praying at altar. But I know enough Latin to know that roughly, "Non Serviam" means, "I will not serve." Was the Pope confronted by good priests who spoke against him this AM...like it was reported in another story here? I hope so. The big crowds who came out for his arrival were impressive, but not giagantic. I hope for his appearances the crowds are well below expectation. I also know enough to know that if Francis was/will be confronted by good traditional priests...the secular and most Catholic press will not report it. Damian Malliapalli
the story, Damian, is that he will not kneel before the majesty of the True Presence....even with a prie-dieu conspicuously placed for him to do just that. He. will. not. kneel.
....at least not for God. so...he either does not believe, OR he believes and stands in defiance (notice--everyone else is kneeling), usually glaring.
“I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” funny thing is, bergoglio seems to forget what the following verse says. funny that.
I'm getting close to 80 and the more I study the more I come to understand that it is impossible for God to permit evil to emanate from His church! The sedevacantist argument based upon solid doctrine is irrefutable! Before you condemn their position, study it and know your supposed enemy !!!
The sedevacantist argument twists the words of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church.
Also, you need to distinguish between the *Church* which cannot err and *Churchmen* who CAN err (and that includes PF when he's NOT speaking ex cathedra - which he hasn't so far as I know.

Yes, Susan, I saw it a short time ago. Made me shake all over!! Glad you got a link to it.....I tried to go back and it was gone, so I thought it may be in his archives, but when I looked.....not there. JUST PRAY!!! I cannot imagine what may be coming.....don't think I want to go there.
Yeah, I found it. This new 'Motu Proprio' is reported to be posted on the Vatican Website, but not translated yet into English. The news is now almost everywhere. Went like wildfire. The way I am understanding it, this gives 'regions' and maybe even individual Bishops and even individual Priests(?) the right to translate the Mass from Latin to English or other languages any way they wish. The repercussions would be likely devastating. More and more totally invalid Masses depending on where you are or what kind of leadership you have. It's a Bergoglian 'free for all'.
Why won't ANYONE ask him publicly why he won't kneel to the Blessed Sacrament or at Mass? He usually has no hesitation for shooting off at the mouth so maybe he'll say why.
Looks to me like he's not a believer. He knelt just last year to wash the feet of Muslims again, but he cannot KNEEL for Our Lord? Not only that but he stands IN FRONT of the kneeler, as if it's IN HIS WAY, like he is on 'equal footing' with the Savior of the World!!
Possibly this is another indication that the Holy Father subscribes to Eastern Christian thinking and practice on a number of issues, including eucharistic adoration, as here.
No disrespect intended, buddy, but that's ridiculous. Complete violation of valid judgement when we've seen Bergoglio time and time again not kneeling to reverence the Blessed Sacrament as everone else does at ceremonieshe officiates at. Remember too, that unlike Benedict XVI and John Paul II, he does not even participate in the Corpus Christi procession, kneeling or sitting(they provide a chair for the Pope), in the carriage/truck/popemobile which carries the Blessed Sacrament solemnly thru Rome to Santa Maria Maggiore. He just blessed everyone with the Monstrance at the end. He is of the Vatican II generation, when they encouraged people not to kneel, not to show respect for the Mass and Catholic traditions, not to genuflect etc.etc. But that doesn't excuse him. He knws what is expected, and does the opposite. He has no respect for the Blessed Sacrament, or even the Catholic Church. Not kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament in Colombia I am sure will enrage many people, who do still have deep respect for Catholic traditions. So Woody, Buddy Man, your argument isn't valid. It would be if this were a first time, or if the Pope did express his views as you said....but with him, it's just callous disrespect/unbelief. As an aside, Pope Francis is having a book published....actually it's an interview condenensed into a 435 pg. book. In it (brace yourself), he allows for gay "civil unions"...but doesn't want to call it marriage. Which is B.S. because gays can have civil unions/marriages with no connection to any religious ceremony and it is recognized as a marriage. He's equivocating, skirting the issue rather than just condemning any/all civil unions/marriages of gays like previous Popes did. I have no respect for Pope Francis/Bergoglio for what he says and does. If you read Fr. Zuhlsdorf's blog (he's a rather self-serving opportunist but his blog is usually accurate), there's going to be another earthquake of a decree from the Vatican this week...and it's not good for the Faith. Maybe he's wrong, but watch for it anyway. Damian Malliapalli
:) Cheers for Susan with that swipe at Peter/feybriel/Gaybriel, etc.
Sciatica is not a life threatening, or even serious, issue. Painful, yes. Serious, usually not. My uncle has sciatica and still plays golf! But then again he's 10 years younger than Bergoglio, so maybe at that age he won't be able to kneel either. On the other hand, all liberal Catholics who still cheer Pope Francis and think he;'s great and make excuses for him have calcification of the cerebral cortex, or dementia. Damian Malliapalli
Have you considered that the Sciatica suffered by the Pope might affect some of his motor functions differently from your uncle? Why should you make this whole thing into some kind of ideological issue pitting Catholics against one another and calling into question the Pope's faith and devotion to Christ?
because he's perfectly capable of kneeling, he's displayed that multiple times....he just doesn't want to do it for God (not even as a younger man with no sciatica). And as far as calling his faith into question, his own actions have done that quite well.....

Nah,it's all true, strait from Bergoglio's bigmouth time and time again. It's all there in black and white, Just seek and find. And you'll find a lot more than you hoped for, all bad of course. Damian Malliapalli
Read the parables of Jesus and then allow yourself to be shocked then, for a hearty dose of Christian socialism, read Acts 4: 32 - 5: 16, Leo XIII's Rerum Novarum, JP II's Centesimus Annus etc. What difference would that make to you Tancred? None at all. The inconvenient bits become conveniently optional don't they?
Susan, yes those are just but a few to which can be added:

I hear you all, and was just raising the Eastern thing as a possibility. I do see where some Easterners seem rather happy with him. Of course if he thought the Latin church had got some things wrong that the Eastern's got right he would not come out and say so as that would erode the teaching authority such as it may still be. Who knows?

Doubtful that Bergolio is a valid pope in the light of Pope Benedict's dubious resignation. Both men should clear off altogether and let the church refresh herself with a proper orthodox papacy.
Bergolio only kneels before man because man is his god. He does not kneel before the NOvus Ordo "sacrament" either because he is being defiant or he knows NO sacraments are not valid. I think its the latter.
