Investiture of the Members of the Third Order. Order and Discipline Which is a Thorn in the Side of Liberals |
(Rome) The founder and first Superior General of the Lay Community of the Heralds of the Gospel (Evangelii Praecones) and the Order, Community of Virgo Flos Carmeli, Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Días, has resigned from office. He announced this step in a letter of June 2nd, yesterday. Is there suspicion in the Church, of that which attracts many vocations?
João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder and Superior General of the Heralds of the Gospel and Confreres.
Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder and Superior General of the Heralds of the Gospel.
The Heralds of the Gospel and the male and female branches are a young, traditionally based foundation, which originates from Brazil and is now represented in 80 countries of the world. The charism of the community is strongly missionary and Marian. The Heralds originated in the 1970s, when the founder and other young men personally felt the need for a deepened religious and communal life. The actual development as a lay community and then as a branch of the Order took place in the mid-nineties.
The Heralds of the Gospel are the first lay community of pontifical right, recognized by Rome in the third millennium. They therefore also see themselves as "Heralds" of the third Christian millennium. Not for a progressive, but for a renewed, faithful Church. The recognition of the lay community took place with Pope John Paul II. The recognition of the two branches of the order (societies of the Apostolic Life without perpetual vows, but with promises of celibacy) took place in 2009 with Pope Benedict XVI.
In 2005, the first priests were consecrated, including the founder, Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Días, whom Pope Benedict XVI. conferred as a sign of appreciation and recognition in 2008, the title of honorary canon at the patriarchal basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.
Fast-growing, missionary community - Numerous vocations
Today the priestly branch of the Community already has 120 priests and 20 deacons. The two societies of the Apostolic Life include more than 4,000 members. Heralds of the Gospel are over 40,000.
Quickly Growing, Missionary Community. They are Now Available in 80 Countries.
While John Paul II and Benedict XVI. completely stood behind the traditional, missionary community, Pope Francis suddenly changed this relationship. The tradition, the special worship of Our Lady of Fatima, the community discipline of an army which is already expressed in the name of "Heralds," the rigor in youth formation, rapid growth and numerous vocations, have aroused suspicion, envy and resentment in other ecclesiastical circles. It's a negative attitude of which even the Holy See is not free of under Francis.
João Scognamiglio Clá Días will complete his 78th birthday on the Feast of the Assumption. By his resignation he seems to want to save himself from the like that of the Franciscans of Immaculata. The Congregation of Religious, which has already unjustly and acquisitively subjected the Franciscans of the Immaculata, had already set up in recent weeks to take action against the Heralds of the Gospel.

Isn't the time long overdue for one of these Christ-centric men of God to tell Pope Pancho to take a long friggin hike? Doesn't the salvation of souls concern anyone even outside the Vatican?
ReplyDeleteBehold the new money changers. They want the money. Full. Stop. These people running the Vatican are worse than the Jews because they claim to be committing these outrages for Christ.
ReplyDeleteSSPX, another reason why you should steer clear of NewRome and Poop Francis at all costs. At all costs!
ReplyDeleteIt's POPE Francis.
Deleteit's really not.
DeleteTruth is important---so, "Poop" describes him much more faithfully than "Pope"---and I am not a Sedevacantist.
DeleteAnonymous 5:55 AM, June 15 is correct and courteous. It is 'Pope' Francis.
DeleteThe other two commenters have a problem with objective truth but no problem with subjective assertions.
Jim P and anon 5:55 have a problem with reality, or as their poop would say, 'concrete situations'. Tell me Jim, what will you do when he virtually canonizes luther in October? when he overturns Humanae Vitae?....just as he's overturned the teachings of the Church on divorce and remarriage...Argentine, Malta, Belgium; all distributing Holy Communion sacriligiously and encouraging people to remain in OBJECTIVE states of adultery, with the blessing and approval of this poop. No charism of the Holy Spirit promised to Peter there my friend.
DeleteQuod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur is the technical answer. The pedestrian one is, have an altogether new experience and think your way through the miasma of hysteria.
DeleteJim, buddy, pal, friend....when trying to sound smart, here's some good advice: Have a cogent point and then try to deliver it effectively. Otherwise you just come off looking like an ass.
DeleteYou're welcome.
QED
DeleteFeybriel, your schtick is no fresher now than it was 2,000 years ago in the wilderness....and btw, nice non-addressing of others' cogent points. QED indeed.
Delete2nd to last paragraph: "the special worship of Our Lady of Fatima". Would it be more accurate to write "devotion to", instead of "worship"?
ReplyDelete
DeleteWorship is correct, both etomylogically and theologically.
I really am beginning to hate my own Church. Two of my brothers have already stopped going to Mass, or really considering themselves Catholic because they hate Pope Francis and what he is trying to do...radical liberal agenda. One is somewhat of a Buddhist, the other is Catholic, but loves Jewish tradition and culture and goes to a neighboring synagogue once in awhile...but never to Mass. He hates Pope Francis for the same reason. Funny thing is that neither brother was traditional/traditionalist...they just know what is wrong, and they hate it/ him(Francis).
ReplyDeleteFrancis is behind all this with the Heralds...just like the Franciscans of the Immaculate.
Now I read that a major archbishop if Argentina just sponsored a huge Mass offering Holy Communion to all sorts of LGBT and people in adulterous relationships....quoting and holding up Pope Francis as his example.
Filth, Garbage, downright sin.
Now the Mayor of Rome and a good many members of the govermnet are rising up and speaking up against Francis and his love for these "refugees" pouring into Rome. Good for them.
What we need is for good Catholics across the world to start rising up against Francis. Force him out. He can go off, lick his wounds and die back in Buenos Aires.

I have been saying that we need to begin with a massive demonstration against the heresies of Francis and a demand for his resignation in the Holy City of Rome itself. Someone with dignity and courage should organize this---I wish I were younger, but if organized I will be among the first to buy my air ticket to Rome.
DeleteThey hate the Smoke of Satan in the Church so they go to the Synagogue of Satan as a option. Go figure.
DeleteDamian, you might hate what is happening in the Church but please do not hate 'the Church'. We have a serious crisis in leadership and heretical and sinful people have come to many places of power and are leading others into sin and perdition. And so it is more important than ever to remain faithful and committed.
ReplyDeleteAs to the resigning of the superior of the Heralds...somehow I doubt that will be enough to turn away the ruthless modernists, money seeking powers that have targeted the Institute.
Glory to Jesus Christ! Damian, come over to join us in the Byzantine Catholic Church, or, if you prefer, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (note: I know of some fairly high profile latin Catholics who are doing just that) and do as His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) of the UGCC says: be Orthodox in Spirituality, Theology and Liturgy, and live it as was done in the first millennium, in communion with the Bishop of Rome. You will find a whole new way of thinking and praying that is, in my own opinion anyway, vastly superior to what is on offer in the latin church. And you can still pray (as we do at liturgy several times) for Francis, the Pope of Rome. Admittedly, sometimes a version of the prayer for the Tsar by Tevye, in "Fiddler on the Roof" comes to my mind: "God bless the Pope, and keep him far away." But I am a sinner, so pray for me, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind invitation to join the Byzantine Catholic Church :) Appreciate it. But I don't think so. Maybe you do things differently, but I went to a very small, Greek Melkite Catholic Church just for curiosity when I was based in NYC two years ago and was totally disappointed. I expected everything to be in Greek....and some was.. .but it was also in English, with the same sappy type hymns in English I got in my own parish. I did a little investigating, and found out all the Eastern Rites had to adapt to Vatican II fifty years ago....like everyone else. UGH.

All FSSP Masses are faithful to the Tridentine Missal. No Marty Haugen, guitars or felt banners. Solid homilies, chock full of real Catholicism.
DeleteAnd also absolute silence in FSSP chapels when it comes to the outrages of Francis and his gang. What did Christ tell us about the lukewarm? Oh yes, that he vomits them out of His mouth.
DeleteAs an aside, I think Francis is either nuts, or a tyrant/despot. If anyone read the news...now hes demanding that all the Cardinals resident in Rome must inform him when they leave Rome-and especially if they leave Italy. Would you say the guy's losing it? Paranoia setting in....or a guilty conscience. One-two-three more acts of vindictive cruelty before he kicks off to his eternal reward?
ReplyDeleteDamian Malliapalli
In my opinion, the schoolmarmish reporting requirement for the cardinals is ominous (in classic liberal fashion, as most liberals have the same mindset and ethos of constipated spinster teachers who love to regulate others' behavior and believe themselves to be so "virtuous"---the heirs of the old Puritans). I say that because I think it is directed specifically at Cardinal Burke, who as a true pastor (and in similar footsteps as the great Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, but without the courage) goes to many parts of the world to inspire and minister to the remnant Catholics. I wonder what Schoolmarm Bergoglio will come up with to also spy on bishops who do the same, such as the courageous and intrepid Bishop Schneider. Soon, very soon, real Catholic pastors will have to leave aside the appearance of fealty to the Apostate occupying the See of Peter and opt to be what Christ called them to be: pastors of souls in an hour of dire emergency in Holy Church. The time for painful decision will be upon them soon.
DeleteThe Eastern Catholic churches are compromised as well. In Coatesville, Pa, the Catholic Byzantine parish has the Filioque clause in the Creed crossed out with black markers in all the pew divine worship books. Do not pretend that all is honky dory in the East---it is not. The Vatican II rot has reached everywhere, and it will reach the Society of St. Pius X as well if they are stupid enough to sign any agreements with present-day apostate Rome to gain nothing---a spurious respectability and a make-belief "unity" ("make-belief" as they in the Society do not share Francis's globalist, socialist "faith"; no Catholic ever could).
