Edit: we've been following the travails of the most Catholic man on the Marquette University faculty, who isn't even Catholic, but he has our sympathy. And given this kind of Stalinist treatment, who could blame him for refusing to convert? Notice, with all the navel gazing going on in supposedly Catholic Traditionalist circles for a while, there are no articles complaining about the Marxist and uncharitable tone among Catholic insititutions or among "mainstream" Catholics and their Gathering Spaces being rigid, pathologically mean and generally indifferent as well as spineless in their magazines and well-endowed periodicals.
Here's the link to the judgement.

In 1977, the Marquette "Warriors" won the NCAA basketball title under Al McGuire. His brother Jack, another coach, was known in jest as "the king of Queens" as being from that area of New York. The mascot itself was deemed as offensive and changed to "Golden Eagles". There are 28 Jesuit colleges and universities of which I am a graduate of one. A gay contingent has taken over the infrastructure. This goes up the ladder all the way to the "head Jebby" as a blogger at Boston College opined. Under "Amoris Laetitia", moral constraints have been removed. Gay marriage is acceptable in the Catholic Church and once the roots are set, it will be promulgated. Timothy Cardinal Dolan was the grand marshal of the St. Patrick's Day Parade. He was told by Francis to support the cause of the gay marchers. I attended the dinner in New York at the NY Athletic Club and was told "on good authority" that the pontiff also told Dolan to "keep an open mind" on gay marriage.
ReplyDeleteI'm 99% sure Boston College was bad when Father Feeney was editor of America in the 30s.
DeleteThe world is awash with 'good authorities.' Truth is always the casualty.
DeleteGive up the sloppy thinking and back up your assertions with facts. Otherwise, people will tag you as just another 20c gossip.
And you're the authority who's bravely standing up for the "truth", "Jim"?
DeleteThe Catholic Church is in exile being kept alive in traditional chapels and at private homes.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how long this will last.
Don't look to ANY conciliar institution for any teaching or support of Catholicism.
Thank you anonymous. I really need to hear Confirmation of that fact as I am trying to extricate myself from a lucrative position in a Novus Ordo church. I know I should be at the independent traditional chapel.
DeletePray & fast God will see you through my friend.
DeleteGod Bless you.
