Edit: this is a documentary by SVT, Swedish TV. They make no bones about their hatred of the Catholic Church, but the claims made about two deviant priests are undoubtedly true. We figured we'd post this here, since you're likely to hear about it elsewhere sooner or later.
The first part of the documentary is a lacrymose revisiting of their sensational hit piece on Bishop Williamson which caused a firestorm of controversy as Pope Benedict XVI attempted to reconcile with the Society in 2009. These Swedish secularists don't hide their essential hostility to the Catholic Faith, especially as it's embodied by the Society.
Fortunately, the journalist, Ali Fegan, admits that the accused priests Father P. and Father M. were exiled to a monastery, which they subsequently left, (if they ever went) to join Bishop Williamson's "Resistance" where they appear to have made a clean slate of their past sins and Father P., at least, who has admitted to his sins, is now doing parish work where he has access to young boys.
It's unfortunate that the SSPX took so long to finally get a handle on this problem with respect to these two priests. Don't they know that such monsters are irredeemable and should be condemned to prison?
We also have to ask: When are they going to do a story about the rampant sexual abuse in their own back yard with respect to their immigrant population? Or how Swedish elites engage in sex tourism? At least the Society dealt with their problem and sought help from the CDF.

SSPX is off the hook. As always, thanks to Swedish TV.
ReplyDeleteThe "Resistance", namely +Williamson, is done for. As always, thanks to Swedish TV.
SSPX is achieving full communion this year. Eveidently one Sacrament at a time, but will be assimilated here shortly.
Are the Swedes going to make a documentary on Moslim abuse in Malmö?

ReplyDeleteSweden's Nazis have become more bold. Expect more of it.

Nazis haven't existed since May 1945.
Deletethey just go by a different name today.
DeleteAnd what is that name Susan?
DeletePlease enlighten me.
There is more than one problem here. Even as supporter of reverence for the daily celebration of the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, one must admit that SSPX does have a decent number of effeminate priests. Some also show their manipulative side. These two, combined with the desire to look fancy, are some major warning signs. One must admit this to protect the priesthood from perversion.
ReplyDeleteSadly, it is now known that pedophilia is an addiction or disease depending on your interpretation. Forgiveness is great for the sin involved. However, the young must be protected from predators. That is what God the Church in grave difficulty. Cardinal Law was sent into Boston to handle the crisis released by the Boston Globe. He treated the problem as "go and sin no more". It turns out that this issue is a lot like alcoholism. You must accept the existence of a higher power. Current treatment theory for drug addiction refutes the aspect of a higher power. He who listens to himself for guidance "has a fool for a guide". We are all dependent on the grace and mercy of God. Even the priesthood now is rejecting this. Francis himself is completely controversial in this arena. He appears to believe that the Gospel is outdated and in need of evolutionary reform with a new set of evangelists.
ReplyDeleteI was interested that the journalist was struggling so hard to find fault with the Society's handling of the problem, that it even disparaged its solution to exile the offenders to a life of penance and isolation. If law enforcement is unwilling to bring a case, I'd support this solution.
DeleteAnyway, what ever happened to turning offenders over to the secular arm? There's nothing revolutionary in that.
Cardinal Law came to Boston in 1984. 18 years before the stories broke in the Globe. He was part of the problem.
DeleteHe's probably confusing him with Flynn from LA, another problem.
DeleteSwedish (state) radio normally takes no interest in the Church; they are completely unaware of Catholic or Vatican policies
ReplyDeleteWhat gave them the idea to make this program? And who provided the source information?
There is a thriving We Are Church group (Vi Är Kyrka) in Sweden which loathes the traditional Latin Mass and which has the same agenda as the international We Are Church.
From what I understand, Sweden is hopeless and will be among the first countries to fall.
DeleteThe Society of St. Pius X is very strict in handling its Priests. They will not hesitate to dismiss deviant Priests. One example is the SSPX Priest who stabbed St. John Paul ll. Before the incident the Society dismissed this Priest for mental instability. It wasn't until after the death of the Holy Father that the news came out that the former Society Priests stabbing was near fatal. The Holy Father forbade the whole truth of the attack of the near fatal stabbing to be leaked to the media. His Holiness forgave and wanted to protect the Priest. Perhaps the Holy Father understood the pain caused to this Priest by what happened in the Post Vatican 2 Era. The SSPX proves to be what the Church is supposed to be. I can see why the Holy Father so much wanted their Canonical recognition.
