Edit: we could just as well have stopped at "Pope Reviles Catholics", since those who don't cherish the traditions and doctrines handed down by the Apostles are hardly Catholic themselves.
The war against the Reform of the Reform continues apace and it is only its resemblance to true and authentic public worship and the faith which they seem to abhor. It causes the Pope to sneer and revile young people who embrace it. You will recognize some of the usual slights made by leftist and effeminate clergy against the faithful who remain true to the traditions of the Church. We were wondering when he'd take a swipe at Pope Benedict's project to restore the liturgy after the depradations of a half-century of modernist innovation.
Picked this article up from Catholic Culture and Catholic Family News:
He also discussed the sacred liturgy. Crux reported:
Asked about the liturgy, Pope Francis insisted the Mass reformed after the Second Vatican Council is here to stay and “to speak of a ‘reform of the reform’ is an error.”In authorizing regular use of the older Mass, now referred to as the “extraordinary form,” now-retired Pope Benedict XVI was “magnanimous” toward those attached to the old liturgy, he said. “But it is an exception.”Pope Francis told Father Spadaro he wonders why some young people, who were not raised with the old Latin Mass, nevertheless prefer it.“And I ask myself: Why so much rigidity? Dig, dig, this rigidity always hides something, insecurity or even something else. Rigidity is defensive. True love is not rigid.”

I have true love for my ancestors in the faith and wish to have a liturgy in continuity (not disjunction) with theirs.

THE
HOLY
MASS
The Holy Mass that cannot die
Was said amidst the oaks
While pin-oak leaves came floating down
Around the simple folks
Who knelt upon the acorn floor
All dotted nutty brown
The acorns cracked and old knees snapped
Yet still there was no sound...
But the tinkling of the golden bells
As the White Host Son rose high
On priestly limbs like mighty oaks
They branched up to the sky
And in that wood I laughed with joy
Amongst the souls bowed down
For the mighty oak was once a nut
That RIGIDLY held its ground.
So good young souls like acorn nuts
Must burrow all around
And be the seeds that sprout new oaks
O’er old bad men earth bound...
Where the Holy Mass, that cannot die
Is said around the oaks
While pin-oak leaves come floating down
For the WHOLE Faith, Catholic folks!
"True love is not rigid"?? Then Christ who suffered His passion and death did it in vain. God deliver us from the false prophet.
That he would say such a judgmental, merciless thing at the very end of the year of mercy. Such little concern for the sheep of his flock.
He talks like a communist party boss. Always telling us how rotten and undeserving we are. Thanks be to God, I have two diocesan Latin Mass choices and one SSPX chapel all within 5 to 20 minutes away. I'm a convert and I'm not going back to the novus ordo. I'll go to the SSPX first.
Well, when the tradition-loving youth come of age, they will be able to bury the blunders of the recent tradition-phobic papacies. Their time is short. Anyone who has any grasp on the history and ancient doctrine & practice of the Catholic Church is thoroughly unimpressed by the new pentecost and new evangelisation that the "Spirit of Vatican II" is supposed to have produced. The further we get from the time of the Council, the easier it becomes to put it in its proper perspective in the context of all Church history and every previous ecumenical council, and not be absorbed by its exaggerations or abuses.
I was a young child pre-VaticanII so have little recollection of Latin Mass; however, I recall my parents returning from a trip abroad commenting of how lovely it was to attend Masses in Latin where people from all corners of the earth were in unison. Language was not a barrier.
The current bishop of Rome is Not Catholic he is a modernist.
The Bergoglio would make a better Lutheran of Calvinist pastor, or even an Imam since he has such an affection for Muslims and their tradition, than he does as Pope,,,,or even as a Catholic.

How many good and saintly vocations have been sidetracked by the word "rigidity"
How to Distinguish the True Faith from Heresy
At the moment when many Catholics are making, or considering making, compromises with Progressivism regarding the New Mass and Vatican II, it seems to us opportune to remember the criteria to maintain the true Catholic Faith given by St. Vincent de Lerins.
Facing these compromises, Catholics are taking sides – “I will take the position of my team, not your team.” This is a superficial approach. Each one of us is individually responsible before God for the right or wrong position he takes.

As always with Francis, spoken like a true petulant wolf.
Just checked on the bottle of champagne I have in the refrigerator for the day Pope Francis dies. It's there and good to go and seeing it always cheers me up a little.
Then he is not the bishop of Rome.
He thinks communists are Christians (and great ones at that), while faithful Catholics are rigid, insecure and perhaps something much worse. The man is a scourge on the Church.
Anthony
Pope Francis reviles traditional/faithful Catholics? Well, traditional and faithful Catholics revile him and his gestures, speeches, and actions and agenda.
When he is dead, there will be such applause in the Catholic Church that it'll be heard around the world !

I feel sorry for the claimed 20 million people who went to Rome for this a.h. Bergoglio's Holy Year of Mercy.
Like I said before, Bergoglio is the Hillary Clinton of the Catholic Church in viewsm actions, agenda. I hope he is rejected like the USA rejected her (except the radical liberal lunatics who are protesting)

I'm a sedevacantist and went to a society chapel last week.(for the 2nd time in my life)I was told most people there are sedevacantist or are close to it & against this looming agreement.
Whats happening in the Catholic Church is very similar to what's happening in America at the moment ,people who want to safeguard religious freedom ,and protect the unborn are been demonised .The behaviour of Clinton's supporters is crazy ,very similar to the behaviour of Francis followers against any kind of pious worship of God.Hillary told people they would to change their religious beliefs in line with her pet policies.Francis is indirectly doing the same.
We are now in the historically unprecedented and apocalyptic situation where the new POTUS is holier and more Catholic than the "pope"
It is 1335 days from the election of gog to the election of triumph, er, I mean trump.
See Daniel 12 12.
Coincidence?
Shame! Shame! Shame on Pope Benedict XVI for resigning and causing this horrible mess. That can't be said enough.
When news of Osama bin Laden's death came out, my friends and I went out for pizza and beer. Will do the same when news of Francis's death comes out.
James, I will drink to that but with a bottle of Jameson. cheers
Thank you, Long-Skirts, for the lovely poem - I really needed something good to read.
Margaret
Hmmm... I never thought of that. Very astute observation.
That's why need to do penance. Remember: In the Acts of the Apostles, Peter and John were thrown in prison. This time, the Successor of Peter is not in physical chains, but (IMHO) chained in mind and soul. The early Church cried out to God with one voice. Then an angel released them from prison.
Similarly, the world will have peace when the Church cries out to God with one voice and begs for 1) the revelation of the Third Secret of Fatima and 2) the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I'm not a Traditionalist. Have been praying at daily Mass for 28 years now. Prefer the "EF" for obvious reasons. But why is this pope so consistently wrong about everything: Capitalism vs Crony (Argentina) Capitalism; equating Catholicism with Islamo-terrorists; and now disparaging the usually informed/solid Catholics who love the Traditional liturgy? It's really bizarre!
Maybe he'll die on a Marian feast.
Oh boy, that's a mess. People need to stop thinking about Trump this way, at best he bought us some time. Russia has never been consecrated so things are still marching down the Fatima path whether Hillary or Trump.
You're right, Benedict is chained in mind and soul. Bergoglio is not a legit successor.
Because he is hardly a Catholic himself.
^^^THAT!^^^
benedict isn't chained in anything. He's made and is making free-will choices. You are seeing who he is. Ignoring reality doesn't help anything.
Susan, how do you know what choices Pope Benedict is making? The press releases and supposed interviews come from the Bergoglio regime, are you saying you trust what these cretins put out? He's a man in his 80's, we don't know in his current state if he even knows what day it is. Suffice it to say he's being sequestered at a minimum and this is in line with Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich's vision of a pope locked away. Bergoglio knows he's still the pope so well he should be afraid of him or his presence.
Bergoglio, soulless though he appears to be and in his delusions of grandeur does have that haunted look in him about what he's done.
He should be worried about collapse of the faith in the Western world under Belgium bishops. There mass attending weekly is down to two to three percent. He should ask Why?
Reminds me of nun in charge in CT.who rejected candidates for clergy for similar reasons for years. Nun later ran off and married an ex priest. In case you were wondering why a overabunce of Homosexuality's and shortage of clergy in CT and USA etc.

As long as Pope Benedict is alive the seat is not vacant, it's stolen perhaps yes but not vacant.
yeah, except he was likely long dead when that flim flammery was released to the public. He had a disease of the kidneys for years before 9/11.
Thee only hope for Belgium is the SSPX & sedevacantist chapels
Its got to that point,we must forget about the Novus Ordo staying afloat in many European countries.
That's your opinion though I may disagree. Many many men & women outside the Novus Ordo are going through a lot of soul searching right now.
Benedict gave a VERY cogent and coherent interview very recently; he meets often with former students and they all comment on how compos mentis he is; he just gave back-up for C. Sarah on ad orientem, which shut bergoglio up for a few weeks....he's sane, he's sober, he's old. Old doesn't always mean addled.
You need to accept the reality that he is a modernist lite. It's a hard pill to swallow, but once you do, a whoooole lot comes into focus. Yes, I still believe that he's the pope, but not because he was tricked, or drugged, or forced to abdicate. It's a whole lot less conspiratorial than that...for the umpteenth time I'll link to the woman who gets a whole lot more right than wrong....she nails it here; if you truly want to be educated, read it; if not, stay in your gas-light cocoon....
http://www.barnhardt.biz/2016/06/19/vocem-alienorum-the-voice-of-antipope-francis-bergoglio-is-the-voice-of-a-stranger/
Susan, did you see a recording of the very cogent interview? Again you're putting your trust in the very people who forced coerced or convinced him to "resign". Whether he believed it was the right thing to do or not he was influenced to resign and that comes from testimony of cardinals.
I know full well Pope Benedict's background since I studied him thoroughly years ago when I saw pictures of him in the business suits at the time of the council. I also studied his interactions with Archbishop LeFebvre so you're not and Ann is not telling me anything new on Pope Benedict.
Regardless of his misguided theology he was and is the pope so pray for him every day, I do on my last rosary bead. And don't believe crap all that comes out from the Vatican which says it's from him, whether it sounds like it's from him or not. Until you see a live interview with him clearly expressing his opinions none of it is to be believed because the deceivers are in charge.
wake up anonymous....take the red pill.
you're right that he's still pope....but not because of the convoluted conspiracy you believe.
We are prevented from elevating private revelation to the level of Dogma.
Apparitions are interesting but you need to rely on Jesus Christ and the deposit of faith.
God bless you
Dominus Vobiscum
Oh okay, you're right Susan, everything is and has been on the up and up with team Bergoglio. Cardinal Daneels coming out and saying what he said, that didn't mean anything.
You're absolutely clueless, slide back from the keyboard and stop posting.
http://pamelageller.com/2015/09/cardinal-danneels-admits-mafia-club-brought-down-benedict-xvi-to-make-church-much-more-modern.html/
Can you even read and comprehend?
go home anonymous you're drunk.
LOL, pride much? Do yourself a favor, start praying the rosary every day, it will help you develop a spiritual life. You obviously have no spiritual life nor ability to discern because you believe everything you read. "Benedict gave a VERY cogent and coherent interview very recently".. On the one hand you believe everything issued by the vatican press office or leftist rag as gosopel and on the other you use the sede argument of "Pope Benedict was a modernist, he wasn't pope".
Just pray the rosary and try to discern, use a bit of the energy you have for your insults and condescension here and focus it into a spiritual life which might help you discern.
ladies and gentlemen.....I rest my case.
False, Fatima is at a level higher than a private revelation.
No its not you're wrong.
The required deposit of faith ended with the death of St.John when he was alone on the Island.
As you noted, *public* revelation ended with the death of St. John.
Private revelation, e.g. Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich is not binding on us.
However, Fatima is a *public prophetic revelation*. This is different from mere private revelation. 70,000+ people - rich, poor, priest, peasant, scientist, layman and everyone in between - saw the Miracle of the Sun.
Pope John Paul II said that the message of Fatima "imposes an obligation on the Church" (HIS words, not mine.)
Check out www.fatima.org or call them at 1-800-263-8160. They are the best resource on Fatima.
