Edit: from a reader. We share his concerns.
The Archbishop cited concerns about low enrolments, but the Sydney Catholic Weekly says it understands student numbers have increased in recent years. (Link: https://www.catholicweekly.com.au/melbourne-archbishop-shuts-down-the-john-paul-ii-institute-for-marriage-and-family/)
Responding to suggestions that the Centre is too costly for the Melbourne archdiocese supporters have pointed to the Institute's national character and said costs should be shared with other Australian dioceses.
Commentators have said the Institute's closure will remove the main orthodox Catholic voice in Australian debates on marriage and bioethics issues. They suggest the background appears to be Pope Francis' lack of support for sustained debate on such issues.
The Institute, founded in 2001, is affiliated to the Pontifical Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, founded by Saint John Paul II.
The Institute was founded by Anthony Fisher OP, now the Archbishop of Sydney. The current director is Professor Tracey Rowland, a respected lay theologian who is a member of the Vatican's International Theological Commission.

If you knew the history of Denis hart like i do, then you will understand why he is closing it down. Hart goes back to the days of so called Arch Little, during those ugly days for the church in Melbourne Hart was no fan of orthodox priests, i'll never forget the treatment Holy priests received from the likes of Little and Hart, i can not say i'm shocked that he will shut down John Paul II's Institute for Marriage and Family in Melbourne..
ReplyDeleteThe smoke of satan in the Church is so bad that its thickness is blinding so many. Can anyone say in honesty that Bergoglio is not the "False Prophet"? I am beginning to wonder if Bergoglio is not the actual anti-Christ. The mark of the beast in my personal opinion is the Modernist heresy itself. Good is forbidden and Modernism (possibly the mark of the beast) is rewarded under Bergoglio.
ReplyDeleteIs Bergolio the false prophet? As far as Revelation, Chapter 13 is concerned, Benedict XVI is a much better fit. John Paul II was as slain and his wound was healed. Benedict exercised all of his power as head of the CDF. Benedict caused the world to worship JPII by making him a saint. Benedict made JPII seem to be alive and speak through the massive video boards that played images of JPII on the day of his canonization.
DeleteThe scriptures say that the Anti-Christ will be a man. Perhaps the correct interpretation may be that the AntiChrist is Man. Not in personal sense, but in the sense that the Antichrist is Humanism?
ReplyDeleteThis is a Pope Francis move. The "pope" sacked Cardinal Sarah from speaking at the upcoming JP II Institute meeting in Rome....taking over the job himself. No doubt he'll try to water down the JP II Instutite principles to suit himself.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely believe Pope Francis is the anti-Christ. Anpther sign is his upcoming meeting with Lutherans in Sweden on Monday, and his real, genuine reluctance to celebrate Mass while in Sweden for his own Catholics there......because he was afraid of insulting the Lutherans. What kind of a worthless man is this? Don't think too long on it. I'll give you some help.
Yesterday the 28th, he sacked the entire staff of the Sacred Congregation for the Disipline of the Sacraments, and replaced the membership...27 people...all with liberals.....including bringing back the infamous Piero Marini.
All the good men Benedict XVI put in office....Ranjith, Burke, Ouelette, etc. were sacked. In other words, the traditional minded or conservatives were thrown out, replaced with radical progressives.
When are the good, faithful Cardinals finally going to stand up and say to this a.h. Bergoglio...."No, we won't obey, we won't serve."
Pope Francis is the Hillary Clinton of the Catholic Church...and should be thrown out...impeached...etc. just she is likely to be because of her emails....if she gets as far as to win the election. Which many now are saying is extremely unlikely.
If she does win, many predict massive violence and protests, if not a real revolution here. It won't be pretty.
But there should be one in the Church against Francis. Where he comes from, they're used to coups. There should be one in the Catholic Church against the present incumbent.

"Yesterday the 28th, he sacked the entire staff of the Sacred Congregation for the Disipline of the Sacraments" This is utter nonsense. There was no announcement of any sackings, merely of appointments. The presumption, then, isthat those already serving will, at a minimum, see out their quinquennia (which are staggered).
DeleteDamian Malliapalli, I agree, Bergoglio is the anti-Christ or he is at least an anti-Christ. The Epistles tell us there have already been many anti-Christs. But could Bergoglio be the actual prophesied anti-Christ. He misrepresents Our Lord Jesus Christ, misinterprets what Christ said, has a disdain for the Traditional Catholic Church, lowers all the good Prelates and lavishes with honors the Modernist heretics, constantly presents error as truth, attempts to change Divine Law etc... etc... etc... Bergoglio is either the anti-Christ himself or at least one of them. "Is the Pope Catholic?" it used to be asked when affirming something. Today its become a joke, "Is the Pope Catholic? I don't know, is he?". One can't deny there is truth in the latter.
DeleteDamian Malliapalli, I just read an article on a talk by Bishop Athanasius Schneider. He says that, "The greatest heresy of all time" is the anti-Christ". Everything he says seems to deliberately point to Bergoglio. I read it on Life Site News from October 26, 2016. I recommend it. I hope eponymousflower will feature this article.
DeleteObedience to God is our weapon that no Pope or Satan can undermine. Not revolution Damian...
ReplyDeleteThe implacable faith of the people of God will overcome any setbacks imposed by Pope Francis.
SB.
why am i not surprised.Dennis Hart is purely a politician first and priest second. It was a pentecostal member of Parliament who tried to stop late term abortions, whilst this so called Shepherd did nothing. He worried more about getting vestments for WYD in Sydney .May God remove him asap.
ReplyDeleteLet's all pray for the suffering people of Central Italy, which was struck by a 6.6 earthquake this morning. The city of Norcia was hit again, and this time the famous Basilica of San Benedetto where the well known Benedictine monks live, was completely flattened. Only the façade remains.
ReplyDeleteThis whole area of cenral Italy contains some of the most famous and beloved Catholic shrines and monasteries. Let's pray that there is not great loss of life, and that the damage is minimal and can be repaired.
Such an event such as this should keep the worthless Pope Francis, who is preparing for his trip to Sweden tomorrow to visit his precious Lutherans and to celebrate Martin Luther and the Reformation with them, at home in the Vatican and Rome.
But it won't. He's much more interested in Lutherans and Muslims than with his own faithful Catholics. He's so low that he didn't even want to celebrate Mass for the Catholic community in Sweden....he wanted to concentrate on Luther.
We need very desperately and very quickly, a new Pope who is a Catholic!

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. Look to yourselves, that you may not lose what you have worked for, but may win a full reward. Any one who goes ahead and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father and the Son. If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting; for he who greets him shares his wicked work.

A very bad sign from a very bad prelate. Pity those under him. May the LORD restore His Church! Why, Lord, are you allowing this? Please remember the faithful who are left and have pity on them and grant us true, holy, and faithful shepherds for they are greatly lacking at the present time.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine Francis' G-8 Group of Cardinals calling the Nuncios around the world every week to hand down their orders to the local bishop. It just takes a few phone calls originating from the Vatican.
ReplyDeleteAnd the local bishops are spineless jellyfish enough to say "Yes Holy Father" or "No, Holy Father" and :Whatever you say is right, Holy Father!" To give him credit, Cardinal Burke before Francis' trip to Sweden stated that "intercommunion with Protestant Lutherans" and other is not possible ever....and stated the reasons. He was brave to cut any initiative of Francis off before the worthless Pope even tried it.
ReplyDeleteStill, I'll bet he does try to pull something while in Sweden.
Francis' receiving Lutherans in the Vatican with a big statue of Luther on center stage was a disgrace.
As bad as they were, none of that garbage would have happened under Paul VI, John Paul II, or Benedict XVI (who was the least offensive of the three).

No surprise. Abp. Hart is a beast who should be laicized. He openly cursed at a mentally ill female victim of clergy sexual abuse, but later made a phony apology to her.
