.- Amid uproar over comparing struggling students to bunnies that should be drowned or shot, Mount St. Mary’s University president is now under fire for criticizing expressions of the Catholic faith at the school.
Already facing turmoil, the second-oldest Catholic university in the country is now seeing alumni and former faculty members publicly expressing their concerns over President Simon Newman’s disparaging remarks about the college’s Catholic identity – even reportedly calling some students “Catholic jihadis.”
Thane Naberhaus, a tenured professor who was recently fired from the Maryland university, told CNA that the president wanted to downplay the school’s Catholic identity because, in his words, “Catholic doesn’t sell.”

The action needs to be a midnight visit from about a dozen student fathers. Just some catechism lessons and ground rules about how things will be from niw on.

DeleteThat apostate anti-Catholics are in charge of Catholic-in-name-only schools and colleges is very old news. Why is anyone surprised about developments at supposedly "conservative" Mt. St. Mary's? With the tacit approval of the American hierarchy (with very few glorious exceptions) that has been the scandal of "Catholic" education since the "glorious council." As for Pope John Paul's "Ex Corde Ecclessiae"? Like everything else he did (with the exception of the unhesitating and swift so-called excommunication of the great Marcel Lefebvre) it boiled down to a smoke and mirrors document to give the impression of ecclesiastical governance in the presence of institutional chaos and perfidy. Anytime somebody uses those two words together, "Pope" and "Francis" they demonstrate that they are in the business of pleasing men rather than God. Our Lord makes it easier for us every day to show whether or not we hold the greatest gift he can give - the Catholic Faith without which it is impossible to please God. The non-Catholic dogs in the street know that "pope Francis" is just another communist anti-Christ. But not the faithless John-Paulists posing as Catholics.

DeleteSince Pope Francis was elected by the College of Cardinals, and the future popes will also be elected by the same College, do you presume to say that a true pope will never be elected again?? Do you have another way of electing the pope that would satisfy you? Is there another mechanism that will miraculously appear that you would accept as a Christ-accepted means of choosing a pope? Don't judge and condemn the popes so fast. Remember, even Peter denied Jesus thrice.
