I will tell you sincerely, I’m scared of rigid priests. I keep away from them. They bite!

What's creepy is an apparently apostate and evil person on the Chair of Peter. Lord, have mercy.

Never been bitten by a holy priest yet. They are not found everywhere though...
And yes, I believe many seminaries and the Jesuits have turned away pious men in favor of less savory ones.... - November 21, 2015 at 8:43 AM

Priests who smile a lot creep me out. Why are they smiling? Are they deluded, ignorant, or stupid? What sort of wonderland do they live in that they seem like they're high most of the time?
I'm more comfortable with, say, Russian Orthodox priests who seem to understand the state of the world and peoples' souls. I don't care if doesn't smile as long as he understands there's a problem. From there we can work out a solution.
Not so much when everything is supposedly smiles, sunshine and rainbows, and all you need to do to solve anything is to be nice. - November 21, 2015 at 8:50 AM

This is one of the most disappointing things I have heard come from the mouth of Pope. It is tragic, and gives us a good idea of the depth of the crisis we are now in. God help us, we merit this, but God help. Honestly, God had chosen a Pope, Benedict XVI, and now man has chosen the Pope we deserve

Interesting. Bergoglio thinks pious priests are creepy. I think pervert enablers like his buddy Daneels are creepy. I wonder which one God finds creepy?

God had chosen a Pope, Benedict, yes I think so, but Benedict took the office seriously, but never himself, Francis takes himself very seriously, but not the office, that's a catastrophe.

Piety means and refers to love, and that a family love, never rigidity - however firmly it is made and held. It is, however, the rigid enmity that the Sovereign Pontiff shows toward the truly pious - those who love the Catholic Faith, Sacred Tradition - that sets his teeth most on edge; eating often on his own sour grapes. This does not mean that we should elevate the brittle and stolid and rust-bound as if a form piety, such things do not last - and so do not belong among the things with which we build in Christ; hear what Pope Francis has to say, do as much as one may in what he asks, save in committing sins, but do not do what he revels in doing.

Did Saint Ambrose actually say the words that the Pope attributes to him? I would like to see the passage. What is the Latin word rendered as "rigidity"? Saint Ambrose was an imposing figure, with great authority and tremendous clarity of mind.

Please God deliver us from this WOLF who sits in the Chair of Peter! He is scattering the sheep and killing the lambs. Oh God in heaven PLEASE HELP US!! - November 21, 2015 at 1:02 PM

What Francis means by "rigidity" is the same as all liberals mean by it: anything that is not according to their lax or even libertine ways. For Francis "rigidity" equals orthodoxy, tradition, conservative mores (not exactly conservative politics), in short, Catholicism. Here we are with the mysterious tragedy of a non-Catholic sitting on the throne of Peter. The Italian Alta Vendita and all lodges throughout the world must be breaking open the champagne every evening to celebrate what they "think" is their final victory according to plan. The Devil and his disciples are not only the masters of the lie but also of self-deception. May Francis convert to the True Faith before he faces God's just judgment. RC

Once again the Holy Father insults good priests. Persecution outside the church is tough enough to suffer but from the Vicar of Christ?

It is high time that Cardinals,Bishops and Priests who are faithful towards their duties to God Almighty and the people they shepherd come out boldly and do the fittest thing to see that the Catholic Church is turned in the right direction before the Vicar of Christ causes more damage ;to make the Pope realise that his time has come to lay down his office,of course ,with a mighty world wide Rosay crusade that BVM comes intercedes for us with her beloved son and our Lord Jesus Christ. We beg the help of the shepherds to act fast.

I cannot pretend to be able to confidently parse what Francis really means; it is difficult when the remarks do not provide concrete examples.
You might want to look at his comments through a lens other than the excessively tiring conservative vs. liberal perspective and the predictable knee-jerk reactions that ensue. A lens which can provide real examples is historical experience.
The article quotes Francis (is the full text available?) as saying, "...There are often young men who are psychologically unstable without knowing it, and who look for strong structures to support them.
...For some it is the police or the army but for others it is the clergy.
...When a youngster is too rigid, too fundamentalist, I don’t feel confident [about him]. Behind it there is something he himself does not understand. Keep your eyes open!"
I would argue one giant historical figure who epitomizes these warnings was a certain, one-time monk who exhibited pious behavior - indeed, rigidly pious behavior - and as time went on, the man took his bite, and what a bite it was, given the discord that ensued.
From what little I have read, the man seems to have had major scrupulosity issues.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luther
Scrupulous people have the potential to be a pain to be around, and when their scrupulosity manifests itself primarily through a religious element, and the scrupulosity never gets resolved, they can still be a pain to be around - maybe, even more so - because yeah, they can bite.

We have to forgive him. He is an Argentinian, that tells a lot about him. Leftist, talkative, bah, popes come and popes go, remember the Borgias? Peter 's Seat will remain. Jesus, please return! Our Lady, please help us!

THE
GOSPEL
NARRATIVES
For neurotic-psychotic
“Attached” to the old,
We give you a hireling
To take care your fold.
No need for the shepherds,
Who seem so much keener,
They’ll tempt you with dreams
Of pastures much greener
And say not to mimic
Past, tolerant-barters,
So heads were cut off,
Who could dialogue with martyrs?
The shepherds tell fables,
‘Bout a man, hated, hailed,
Like you, just “attached”,
Don’t believe He was nailed!

Those who would reject the Faith given us intact and whole by God, through his Apostolic Church, and replace it with their own concoction, are by definition full of self-pride.

You used a provocative title: "Pope thinks pious clergy is creepy".
Please get the quote from the pope where he says, "Pious clergy are creepy". It's a sensationalist headline - the kind of inaccurate journalism one expects from outlets like msnbc.
The pope did say: "It is not normal for a priest to be often sad, nervous, or of a hard character; it is not good, and does no good, neither for the priest nor for his people". If you have an issue with that, fine! Putting words in the pope's mouth is not fair, though.

Do these comments on this blog and other blogs somehow reach the Vatican hierarchy ,insiders. It is better that they make a binder of these comments and hand it over to Pope Francis so that he may know that no other Pope in the history of the Carholic Church had been rebuked by a section of Catholics . Painful , disappointing and Shameful . Let us hope that Almighty God will make his term very short soon and save His people.St.Joseph we pray to you .BVM we ,your children , are in great pain and suffering. Cast Thy merciful eyes on us poor sinners,we pray.

Me neither and coincidentally the ones I have run into usually traditional priests but not always, I have run into very pious Novus Ordo priests who sort of keep it on the down low but reveal it in the confessional. I don't blame them this is what their superior thinks if they reveal themselves to be pious

The Pope can never be wrong, right? Or, at least, when he says something in the matters of faith?
If he speaks in Cathedra, what are the chances of his utterance being orthodox and reliable? What sort of theologians would he consult with? Does he even believe in this authority?
It seems very awkward if the Pope himself agrees with what the schismatics believe, that he's just "The bishop of Rome"; and you can tell how he kisses and hugs the Patriarch of Constantinople, that he can't tell him what he is- a schismatic.
One person who you can rely on not falling for the stupid things Pope Francis does: Patriarch Cyril of Moscow. These two work in different levels of actual faithfulness to what Jesus Christ taught.
"Hey, we're all Christians now! Filioque? That's boring stuff that has no place in Christian life!" -Said no Pope ever.
But we'll see what this merciful humble bishop says about that matter perhaps in the future. - November 22, 2015 at 11:03 PM

A relative who heads religious instruction at a Catholic school was told to be less doctrinal and more life oriented. He commented that his responsibility was for the souls of the boys that he was teaching. Upon which a 70 something year old priest on the board of governors said he had never heard such nonsense being spoken. I never realsed how scary some of the post V11 clergy really are. I feel sorry for them as their formation, both spiritual and intellectual, must have been disastrous

You're getting it all wrong. HH was just narrating an anecdote to give an example of his peripheral pastoral work at Santa Marta, as follows:
Pop Bergie: Oh my, Riccie, you are so totally rigid! Have you been around young seminarians?
Mons Ricca: Shut up or I'll bite you, devil.
Pop Bergie: You are one creepy f**ot!

When is a Pope not a pope? I am just remembering from history the amount of terrible popes, and they're not less popes because of how stupid or cowardly they are. Yet in our age of internet, there's only so much Pope Francis' handlers can censor and shield even from people inside his Church. But for crying out loud, if there are laymen who can say a thing or two against Pope Francis, what does that say about the leaders of the Church? For all the accusations of "Trying to turn back time" against traditionalists who follow what was handed to them, he and his friends aren't moving away from 1960's stupidity of being "open"; it reeks of The Grand Inquisitor telling Jesus Christ to be more open to the world.

They accept Catholic masonry (Vatican II). Why would they condemn the embodiment of all the Vatican II popes? If they condemn Bergoglio for heresy they would have to condemn the other 5 too.

It's a known open fact the seminaries were infiltrated by communists,Luciferians,freemasons,etc...From 1930's - 1960's.Many of the men and women you think of as "liberal" "modern" "confused" priests and nuns are wolves in sheep's clothing who were waiting in parishes all over the western world to implement Vatican 2.Look it up don't take my word for it friends.Warning...the rabbit hole runs deep and you may be upset & troubled by what you find and learn.Pray the rosary daily if you research, the Lord will guide you to where he and his priesthood are alive and offering up the mass of all ages for the salvation of souls.
