Edit: interesting thought by Father Ray:
Francis effect: In the last couple of weeks, since the publication of "Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus" I have had five people asking me about the validity of their marriage, it very occasionally happened before. My concern is these are good practising Catholics, and the marriages are perfectly valid. This isn't a large parish and there are far fewer families than in most parishes.
Is this the experience of other priests?

Oh please God help us! Save your Church from the destruction of Pope Francis! It's all collapsing!
Has anyone noticed how the Post Vatican II popes look nothing like the strong, serene, holy pontiffs of years past, such as Pius X? This photo of Pope Francis does not kindle feelings of a good successor to St. Peter.
It looks like a "Gotcha" photo. Like he is caught in the act. I pray it is not in the act of destroying the Church.
Ever seen the one of Jesus Christ on the cross?
Oh, Matt, I did not know they had photography in Palestine at the time of Our Blessed Lord! Your line of thinking (anti-reasoning) is typical of liberals who have sand for brains (that would be most of them): reject reality and dishonestly shape it according to your own ideology. No one here is talking about suffering or looking distressed, but about the lack of gravitas of these Vatican II popes (with the possible exception of Benedict XVI, who, as a cultivated German, refuses to look like a slob or a dodo). They do not look papal indeed---possibly the result the general debasement of the Church, her liturgy, her clergy, and her institutions of the past 50 years. But don't look too closely: the slobs live rather well; Casa Santa Marta looks and is like a 5-star hotel and, despite "Laudatio Si," has proper heating and air-conditioning I am sure. RC
Every time I see a picture of Pope Francis it makes me sad. Every time I see a picture of Pope Benedict it also makes me sad because of the mistake he made in resigning.
God help us!
These are tragic times we are living in.
I'm surprised the humble umbrella that the Holy Father is so humbly holding is not smaller and with at least one humble spoke humbly sticking out. I'm also surprised that his humble folder which he is humbly holding in his other hand is not even more humble with papers falling out mad a humble brown-bag cover like I used to make for my grade school text books.
And good grammar are went.
Has anyone seen a credible news report of Francis suffering a mild heart attack or stroke after the letter of the 13 was presented to him?
There were some rumors in the Italian press which appeared in Infowars and got taken down real fast. I'm guessing Alex Jones did some checking and couldn't confirm it. The Pope, indeed, doesn't look like he's suffered a stroke to me.
What are you a Pharisee? Who are you to judge? The god of surprises may have changed the rules of English grammar.
Some times I wonder if they're parody guys, aping the usual 78 year old capona at your average suburban parish.
"For in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true pastor but a destroyer." Does anyone doubt who Saint Francis was speaking of in this prophecy? The guy is a chastisement and he's doing what he was sent to do, the gates of hell won't prevail so whatever, oppose it where and when you can.
