Bishops of the Ukraine Before the Pope (emeritus) 2015 |
(Vatican) The Catholic Church had entered into a state of anomaly on the evening of 28 February 2013 at * o'clock. The pictures of the end of a pontificate are unforgettable. The departure of a revered Pope. The gates of Castel Gandolfo close with a haunting sense of loss. But death was not what had occurred. The pontificate which began on 13 March 2013 is only the second part of the same anomaly. The Church has since lived on successive waves of a rollercoaster of emotions.
Chiesa e postconcilio has published images of two recent scenes documenting this anomaly two years after its commencement. Both show the homage of bishops and cardinals, as are owed to a pope. What is not true: it is not, this is not the Pope, but an entity not existing ecclesiastical law, which is the theologically unexplained figure of a pope emeritus.
Obeisances to the Pope (emeritus) in 2015
In the first place, the Pope, all seem to agree, is not Benedict XVI anymore. After offering their homage the Pope blesses the Ukrainian bishops in the Vatican Gardens. They just came straight from their ad limina visit to the Pope, but to another Pope.
The Cardinals bow in homage at the Consistory in St. Peter's Basilica before the Pope. While he stood several meters away and just created new cardinals.
One anomaly follows another. When this condition will have an end is not in sight. What seems certain is that the "emeritus" Benedict XVI. as under normal circumstances is still Pope, while the reigning Pope would be the Emeritus Archbishop of Buenos Aires. He still could indeed take part in a conclave until December 2016 to elect a new Pope . But when he retires he would not be papabile any more.

So this is supposed to be "normal" now for the Catholic Church? Bishops visiting and kneeling before "2" popes?
I wish B16 was still the Pope occupying the Seat quite frankly - but this is very disquieting to authentic Catholic sense...
R.
Pope Benedict XVl is still a Pope and it is he who I continue to look for guidance on the path to heaven. All he said and done continues to stand solid as the Rock of the Papacy as willed by Christ. I can't deny that the last two years have been that of a darkness which blankets the world. Pope Benedict XVl come back home where you belong!
Anonymous, Benedict is where he belongs and where Jesus wants him to be for the moment. He will lead the remnant Church in exile, eventually.
Please read what it says....2013 the end of Pope Benedict's Papacy. No use getting in a knot about 'authentic Catholic'. Pope B. has only appeared in public in the presence of Francis, couple of times. He is very discreet. As always, the cultured, mannerly gentleman. Yes, we love him...always will.

If Francis suddenly dies (as many hope he does), would Benedict XVI resume the Papacy?
THis picture of kneeling Bishops, showing such reverence , I have not seen since the photos of the days of Pope Pius XII. They certainly would not feel compelled to act with such reverence to Francis. He does not give that Spirit of the Papacy that most recent past Popes have done.
I have always missed Benedict XVI, because he brought back in word, action, liturgy, and vesture, a small glimpse of what the Papacy was before Vatican II, and what it should be.
Francis and his supporters and cabal of associates are supremely confident that they are building a new, different Church.. I have always thought, would not not be a supreme irony and justice, that in the midst of all their plotting and planning Francis suddenly dies. All their plans would be for nothing. Gone in a heartbeat.

Picture of the present pope who does not live where popes live and the overseer of that place who is publicly known as a homosexual....not that we would judge or anything...
Gotcha, the same happened to me though I'm too young to remember Pius XII, but certainly bishops and cardinals don't bow in homage to anyone, the boR never bows or kneels, specially in homage to the Holy Sacrament, so what? As for me, the wound still bleeds, Benedict is the Pope I converted for, and he will always be in my heart and in my prayers. God only knows why, but I commend my hope in His hands . God bless+
Thank you for the link to that picture of Ricca the homo and Pope Francis.
Look at his expression! Disgusting. And his gesture.
Although that photo dates form 2013, Ricca is still there. And Francis is worse than ever.
I often go to confession to confess my dislike of the Pope. It's surprising that some priests don't feel shocked or upset....they understand the feeling.
I wish Pope Francis would just disappear, and with him, his agenda and all the people who support him.
Watch out, Anonymous. ChurchMUTANTtv might put you in their Vortex. They are the SPLC of NewChurch, don'tcha know!
I thought Liberace was dead.

"(as many hope he does)" - what an awful thing to write, where is your Christian charity, why does this website allow such comments...HH Benedict XVI would be ashamed that you wrote such a thing...

Who hopes that Pope Francis, the Vicar of Christ, would die suddenly?

I guess the mean selfish, commandment clinging "Restorationists" and Pelagianism "triumphalist"Catholics got the message that they and their offspring are not welcomed in the Church. After all they don't look after the poor enough and they treat everyone terribly and they multiply like rabbits.
Horrible. Just a horrible nightmare since Pope Benedict XVI resigned. God have mercy on all of us.
I can understand a modernist heretic hating ChurchMilitantTV, I can't understand a faithful Catholic hating them. The Vortex calls a spade a spade and they won't be intimidated by anyone in their defense of the True Catholic Faith.
A fronte praecipitium, a tergo lupi or is it just another Lemmings tale.
Could someone please explain to me this part of the above article:
"What seems certain is that the "emeritus" Benedict XVI. as under normal circumstances is still Pope, while the reigning Pope would be the Emeritus Archbishop of Buenos Aires. He still could indeed take part in a conclave until December 2016 to elect a new Pope . But when he retires he would not be papabile any more."
Thanks.
"AnonymousFebruary 25, 2015 at 2:40 AM..."If Francis suddenly dies (as many hope he does)..."
Who hopes that Pope Francis, the Vicar of Christ, would die suddenly?"
Lots of Catholics, in many faithful countries. They know what he really is.
He does not seem to be much of a Vicar of Christ by his agenda and actions and words. More like the opposite.
If he's the Vicar of Christ that we should all bow to and obey and accept his agenda, then I'm going to be the next President of the USA.
Steve
Luciano,
In Psalm 108:8 the psalmist prays "May his days be few: and his bishopric let another take."
The entire Psalm is here; http://www.drbo.org/x/d?b=drb&bk=21&ch=108&l=8#x
It is true we must pray for the pope and his conversion but it's also justified for a Christian to pray for the destruction of the enemies of God "because he remembered not to shew mercy". Christians since the time of the Apostles prayed all 150 Psalms in the Liturgy. Francis has persecuted Traditional and Conservative Catholics (e.g. FFI, Burke, Francis' Little Book of Insults, etc.) and exalted modernist sodomites (e.g. LCWR, Maradiaga, Kasper, etc.).
Luciano, would you not want Adolf Hitler to die if you were living in the times of World War 2? Most people would say yes because he was responsible for the deaths of millions. Since Paul VI and Vatican II, hundreds of millions of Catholics stopped practicing the Faith and a countless number of non-Catholics did not want to convert to the true Faith because of scandals like Ecumenism (e.g. Assisi) and Religious Liberty (e.g. Paul VI forced S. American countries to legalize non-Catholic religions and now tens of millions apostatized to protestantism). Hitler, for his evils, only killed millions of bodies - he didn't kill millions of eternal souls that ended up in hell for all eternity. If we get angry at Hitler for killing mere flesh why can't we get angry for people that lead millions of souls to hell for eternity?
Since Francis was elected atheists and sodomites have laughed in the face of Catholics, protestants have used Francis as proof that Catholicism is evil, and countless others don't want to convert because "we're all going to heaven anyway and our religion leads us to God, even your pope said that!' and other nonsense. Francis has led sinners, from sodomites to divorcees, to be hardened in their heart of sin. Millions of people are going to hell because of the things he has said as pope, he has justified their sins.
The homage of the cardinals is very heartening, but seems little when compared to this: when the statue of Our Lady of Fatima was translated to Rome in October 2013, she went directly to Pope Benedict XVI.
Although the analogy is in many ways poor, the Petrine charism is Unity in Truth, and increasingly when I think of these two men, I think of those two mothers who came before King Solomon: the true mother prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice, loss of the child, for love of the child, and the other who would have it ripped in two to have her way.
(The comment above that many hope that Pope Francis die soon is reprehensible, and I hope untrue. I think it is fair to say that many of the faithful are in a state of cognitive dissonance, accepting this pontificate with varying degrees of docility, while not actually quite believing it to be true. So strange are the days in which we live.)

The vortex is funny. They blast catholics that believe and worship as catholics did before 1951 as 'schismatic' & 'illicit'...So because we hold fast to the traditions handed down by our fathers, we are 'schismatic' & 'illicit'.I would love to hear the vortex version of mental gymnastics defending the invalid post 1968 rite of ordination and episcopal consecration.
lol Anon. 11:42AM
Are you living in the year 2011? CMTV has gone off the rails. They used Traditional Catholics to get popular and now they stabbed them in the back so they can expand their brand to neo-Catholics. CMTV is the Fox News of American Catholic Media. It's filled with calumny and lies disguised as truth and orthodoxy (much like Fox News).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tze_qOw6ezY
Also, the people at CMTV make mistakes all the time. They're a horrible source of information, they don't even know how to source information like a high school student! For example: they called Marie Curie a "French Catholic" even though she was a Polish Atheist who hated France. They didn't even bother doing a 5 secound wikipedia check! There's a litany of other examples but sufficeth to say they're amateurish and produce videos with cringe worthy mistakes.
I read it is many websites, that very many faithful Catholics would rather have Francis pass on, than suffer with him another 1-2-3 years. It's not my thought...I'm just sayin'
But it is, considering what he has done in 2 years, in fact not surprising.
I'm afraid the last line in the article confuses me. Benedict XVI isn't a cardinal and so can't vote in the next conclave but could be re-elected Pope should Francis die or retire.
It means he's the emeritus of his own archdiocese of Buenos Aires, but not clearly Pope and that he could even vote in the next conclave after he resigns.
Anonymous and many others on this DB who are emoting about Benedict who has abdicated and retired, those who are gripped by a passive aggressive contempt for Pope Francis, maybe you should listen to the words of Fr Ray Blake who is hardly a raging liberal or modernist dissenter:
“Catholics are often a bit perplexed when Protestants talk about 'a personal relationship with Jesus Christ', some Catholics are much happier with a personal relationship with the Church and they can recite documents and Popes, Councils and Catechisms but seem to be dead as far as faith is concerned. I suspect this is why the current Sovereign Pontiff, as a Jesuit has a bit of a downer especially on young seminarians, younger priests and 'traddies' in general, as well as leprous courtiers, curial officials, old maids etc., the list is quite long.
St Ignatius of Loyola was very much into the spirituality of a personal encounter with the person of Jesus, not just in 'The Exercises', but in the entire formation of his novices, for example the pilgrimage to Manresa, were they were sent out like the first disciples and taught to rely on Providence. The early Jesuits were outstanding men of faith, no religious order seems to have had so many canonised saints at its foundation, nor such a variety of different kinds of men, from St. Francis Xavier to St. Peter Favre or St. Francis Borgia to St. Aloysius Gonzaga. What they all have in common is a personal 'humanistic faith', in that Renaissance sense of Catholic of spirituality, in the person of Jesus Christ.
I think this is what our beloved Holy Father is prodding and kicking us, at time even painfully beating us into accepting. I know many clergy find this a deeply painful time and unsettling, I admit I do myself, old certainties vanish like smoke, many of us feel a real impoverishment. It is like those nobly born Iberian novices sent out on the road with nothing, to rub shoulders with the not necessarily friendly poor and to learn to trust in the Providence of the Good God. Francis' oft repeated "poorer Church for the poor", is incomprehensible apart from what 'poverty' has always really meant in Catholic Tradition: possessing nothing but Christ.”
Gabriel, Protestants always talk about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but what do they mean? Roman Catholics have had the perfect personal relationship with Christ for 2000 years. Sadly this Fr. Blake doesn't know much about it or has forgotten it. But traditionalists know it. It is called eating the Flesh and Drinking the Blood of Christ, where he lives in us and we in him, and the Father comes to us. This, all in a literal manner. Studying the faith, Councils, Catechisms etc... Helps us to grasp some of this great mystery. The current Pope in his heart may know little of this mystery as is obvious that he will not kneel nor genuflect before the Real Presence of the Savior. As for St. Ignatius of Loyola, he founded a great Religious Order but as is well known, it no longer exists except in name only. You are correct when you say of the Pope, "Prodding and kicking us". What is a poorer Church for the Poor? I'm poor and I have never felt so much poverty as in the last 2 years and I mean spiritually. No one understood Cardinal Bergoglio in Argentina, and no one understands Pope Francis now. Maybe now you know why we miss Pope Benedict XVl so much.
".......why we miss Pope Benedict XVI so much."
Who's 'we?'
Jeff Klump, I believe what you are saying. It was men who cast Christ out of the Temple, and it will be men who bring him back. May we all pray, fast and do penance that this be realized sooner than later.
We! are called Traditionalists who oppose error and hold to the teachings of the Church from the last 2000 years. And We! will not stand by idle anymore. We! intend to take our Church back. And We! will do it by proclaiming the Truth of Christ and by opposing the modernist errors. Long live Pope Benedict XVl!
I only recently discovered ChurchMilitantTV, I now subscribe to it. There are 3 sources that I find indispensable for my Faith, eponymousflower.blog, roratecaeli.blog and the Vortex. I don't know how the Vortex worked in the past. I do know the present, and they in my opinion are 100% Traditionalist.
Thanks for the welcoming information that the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima went first to Pope Benedict XVl. Something that quite fascinates me is the description given by Sr. Lucia about the vision of the Pope ascending a mountain, then killed. Pope Benedict had said that St. John Paul ll was most likely not the Pope of that vision. After Benedict announced his retirement he said many times, "It is time for me to ascend the mountain". Could Pope Benedict possibly be the Pope of the third secret? Lets pray much for him.
Gabriel, I do.
Anna
Then "we", according to what abdicated Benedict XVI has had to say and affirm about valid his successor Pope Francis, "we" have effectively moved into schism and are probably sede-vacantists. Even the SSPX don't follow that line.
I congratulated Michael Voris within hours of his publicly launching his RealCatholic apostolate. He said he was scared and hoped that he was doing the right thing. He was shaking. So I suggested he read The Soul of the Apostolate and to never stray from that holy practice or he would surely fall victim to Satan and lose his way like so many other self-proclaimed "catholic experts" of our day. He obviously did not read the book. I would no more expose loved ones to his vomit than I would to an encyclical of John Paul II. I do believe that Michael started out with noble intentions, but pride goeth before the fall and he began his fall by his second year. His descent began to accelerate after ChurchMilitant began to arrogantly chastise the bad bishops. That was what people wanted. They wanted to hear someone publicly slap those bad bishops. Slapping a bishop, even an evil bishop is still a mortal sin.
In lots of ways Mike Voris is no different than Martin Luther. He needs many prayers if he is to avoid the same fate. And so do those who worship him.

AnonymousFebruary 25, 2015 at 12:37 PM..."Lots of Catholics, in many faithful countries. They know what he really is. He does not seem to be much of a Vicar of Christ by his agenda and actions and words. More like the opposite."
"Lots of Catholics" in many countries who know supposedly "what he really is" desire that His Holiness Pope Francis die suddenly?
I have not met one Catholic who has ever expressed or even betrayed even a hint of such a vile hope.
The opposite is true.
Pope Francis enjoys massive popularity among Jesus' flock who love and obey Christ's teachings as upheld and promoted by His Vicar, Pope Francis.
Catholics recognize that Pope Francis is the Vicar of Christ. Pope Francis teaches, governs and sanctifies Jesus Christ's One True Church.
Faithful Catholics everywhere pray for Pope Francis' good health and protection from Satan.
At each Mass (Novus Ordo), Catholics who love and obey Jesus Christ and His Holy Bride offer a holy prayer for Pope Francis.
In just a few weeks during the Mass of the Presanctified, Catholics who assist at the Traditional Roman Mass will offer a Solemn Prayer for Pope Francis.
Eastern Catholics, particularly via beautiful Eastern Catholic Divine Liturgies will pray for Pope Francis.
However, you have claimed that "lots of Catholics, in many faithful countries" desire Pope Francis' sudden death.
If you are correct, then "lots of Catholics, in many faithful countries are opposed to the solemn prayer of the Holy Catholic Church.
Pax.
Steve
That's begging the question. Take a logic course, maybe eat some meat and get more and better sleep, excerise, of course, you should pray more and fast.
CS Lewis discusses this in the Problem of Pain, that even one who is loved can provide a relief to the survivors when they die. It's sober cause for some self-analysis let me tell you.
I'm coming to view Francis as a scourge, myself.
AnonymousFebruary 25, 2015 at 3:34 PM..."I read it is many websites, that very many faithful Catholics would rather have Francis pass on, than suffer with him another 1-2-3 years. It's not my thought...I'm just sayin' But it is, considering what he has done in 2 years, in fact not surprising."
On Good Friday, April 3, 2015 A.D., the One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church will pray a Solemn Prayer for Pope Francis.
During said Solemn Prayer, Holy Mother Church will pray for Pope Francis' "health and safety".
Any Catholic who wishes death upon Jesus Christ's Vicar, Pope Francis, is in vile and evil opposition to Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church.
Therefore, it is only to Satan whom "many faithful Catholics" pray to or call upon to bring about Pope Francis' death.
By the way, do the "many faithful Catholics" wish for Pope Francis to die suddenly of a heart attack...do they hope for his murder?
Do they call upon Satan to spur a terrorist to bring about Pope Francis' death?
In what way do the many "faithful Catholics" wish for the Vicar of Christ's death to occur?
The bottom line is that anybody who desires Pope Francis' sudden death is part of the Culture of Death...is part of the world of evil and Satanic rule.
Conversely, each faithful Catholic is a true child of God who prays the Catholic Church's official solemn prayer of "health and safety" for the Vicar of Christ Pope Francis.
Pax.
Steve
It is the eternal loss of souls to satan that one must be most concerned about, the primary law of the Church. If the Pope is leading people away from the objectively true and unchanging doctrine of the Faith and the moral law, as he objectively is, then this must be opposed, and we must pray for his conversion and an end to this diabolical disorientation. This, for the Pope's own soul too. To pretend that he is not attacking the Faith and morals is evil, and assists with the endangerment of countless souls.
Tancred February 26, 2015 at 7:37 AM...."CS Lewis discusses this in the Problem of Pain, that even one who is loved can provide a relief to the survivors when they die. It's sober cause for some self-analysis let me tell you."
CS Lewis is not the Holy Catholic Church.
I turn to Holy Mother Church to inform me as how to act and think.
Therefore, in regard to the subject of supposed "faithful Catholics" who hope for Pope Francis "sudden death", I can only reiterate that which Holy Mother Church teaches in regard to Pope Francis.
The Holy Catholic Church calls upon Her children to pray for Pope Francis' "health and safety".
A "faithful Catholic" who wishes for the death of Pope Francis is somebody who has thrown in with Satan's Culture of Death.
Pax.
Steve
It doesn't make it any less true, and I'm sure if I look hard enough I can find similar utterances by the Fathers, or indeed, anyone with a good understanding of human nature.
Is it Catholic to desire Pope Francis' sudden death?
Pax.
Steve
I think its perfectly ordered and sinless to feel those emotions, especially when his presence is so painful to those who are actually Catholic, and even those who aren't.
@Gabriel, Benedict was forced out by Francis and the other aberrosexual players in the Vatican. But being a Bergoglian Jew from Argentina at Francis' old Synagogue, I'm sure you already know that.
Competing anonymouses calling themselves Steve is getting annoying. Anonymous commenting needs to be turned off so Timothy Scott and Rosica will have to at least make themselves fake accounts to comment with.
I don't believe that Catholics actually want Pope Francis to suddenly die. What Catholics want is for him to just get out of the way. Like resign and go to some Monastery and never be heard of again. I don't wish death for him but I do desire for him to disappear and I mean right now. This thought comes from love for the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Incredible.
Anyway, on Good Friday April 3, 2015 A.D., I will pray via the Traditional Roman Mass for Pope Francis' "health and safety".
That is the ancient and unchanging teaching of the True Church.
To pray for Pope Francis' sudden death is against the Catholic Faith.
I do not belong to the satanic Culture Of Death. I belong to the Culture of Life and will obey Holy Mother Church's teaching that compels me to pray for Pope Francis' "health and safety".
The Church teaches that we should turn to the Blessed Virgin Mary as our holy role model.
Our Holy Mother would never pray for Pope Francis' sudden death.
Imagine praying to God that Pope Francis would die suddenly!
Please grant a fatal heart attack to Pope Francis...please inspire somebody to poison Pope Francis...please inspire ISIL to murder Pope Francis.
I ask again, please state as to what means of sudden death should a Catholic hope to befall Pope Francis.
Pax.

Unto the end, a psalm for David. Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: rescue me from the unjust man. Who have devised iniquities in their hearts: all the day long they designed battles. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent: the venom of saps is under their lips.Keep me, O Lord, from the hand of the wicked: and from unjust men deliver me. Who have proposed to supplant my steps.
The proud have hidden a net for me. And they have stretched out cords for a snare: they have laid for me a stumblingblock by the wayside. I said to the Lord: Thou art my God: hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication. O Lord, Lord, the strength of my salvation: thou hast overshadowed my head in the day of battle. Give me not up, O Lord, from my desire to the wicked: they have plotted against me; do not thou forsake me, lest they should triumph. The head of them compassing me about: the labour of their lips shall overwhelm them.
Burning coals shall fall upon them; thou wilt cast them down into the fire: in miseries they shall not be able to stand. A man full of tongue shall not be established in the earth: evil shall catch the unjust man unto destruction. I know that the Lord will do justice to the needy, and will revenge the poor. But as for the just, they shall give glory to thy name: and the upright shall dwell with thy countenance.
From the Traditional Roman Mass, the prayer that I and countless Traditional Catholics will pray on Good Friday, April 3, 2015 A.D.:
"Let us pray also for our most holy Pope N., that our God and Lord, who chose him to the order of the episcopacy, may preserve him in health and safety, for the good of His holy Church, to govern the holy people of God."
I will obey the teaching of the True Church.
Rather than throw in with the satanic Culture of Death to hope for Pope Francis' sudden death, I will pray with Holy Mother Church for Pope Francis' "health and safety".
I wish you, your family and the readers of your blog peace and good health.
Pax.
Steve
Off topic.
I will pray for the Pope as I do now. For the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVl and for the conversion of Bishop Francis of Rome. I do no wrong as Francis does not wish to be called Pope, he prefers Bishop Francis. I only respect his wishes and suave my conscience at the same time. As Cardinal he never called Benedict Pope, Holy Father, Supreme Pontiff etc... He simply called him Bishop Benedict.
Andrew
Assertion is one thing, proof is another. What's your proof?
As for personal innuendo about my sexual status or tendency, how on earth would you know anything?
It seems to me that you are very upset about many things and that this affects the sense of equilibrium.
"As Cardinal he never called Benedict Pope, Holy Father, Supreme Pontiff etc... He simply called him Bishop Benedict."
Is that right? For real?
It's perfectly credible, considering that I've heard a lot of dissident clergy do the same over the years.
Steve, I don't know what the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic church teaches on the subject of rejoicing at the death of a wicked leader, but I know what king Solomon said:
"When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness." (Proverbs 11:10 RSV-CE)
Not only will Catholics led loose some shouts of gladness when Francis' mouth is finally silenced, whether by death or something else, but so will all Christians and even everyone who cares about morality. Nobody in their right mind would pray for "health and safety" for a man who is hell-bent on rooting morality out of the earth and destroying the Christian faith by spreading abberosexualism. If you pray for Rabbi "Who am I to judge" Bergoglio, the only thing you should be praying is for his conversion to Christianity and Christian morality.
In fact, lets quote a bit more from Proverbs 11, since after reading some more, I see how so much of it fits with Francis.
Verse 10: "When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness."
When Francis dies, there will be shouts of joy.
Verse 11 "By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked."
Francis is overthrowing the Catholic church, and indeed, all of western civilization with his "who am I to judge" crap.
Verse 12 "He who belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent."
A man of understanding would not attack everyone and their dog as Pelagians, Pharisees, people who breed like rabbits, say they have "flight attendant smiles," etc. You can add the rest of Rabbi Bergoglio's insult list there. He shows by these things that he has ZERO sense.
To aid you in your meditation on Proverbs 11:12 and how it is about Francis, here is Pope Francis' Little Book of Insults.
Verse 12 "He who belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent."
Read each of his insults from the Little Book of Insults (which isn't so little anymore) and mediate on how much sense he lacks.
Steve, According to Vatican ll would you deny a Catholic the right of his conscience. There are many including myself who find it impossible to pray for the "health and safety" of a man intent on destroying us. Its called a natural reaction and common sense. We don't pray for our enemies to continue their evil plots, we don't ask God to Bless evil. We do pray for his conversion. We pray he steps down as he is ineffective in leading Christ's Church and is working contrary to the Church's Holy Mission.
Andrew
Susan, you were wondering about Bergoglio never calling His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVl but simply "Bishop Benedict". I tried to look for those sources which were reported many times but I just read the latest and most of the time not remembering my sources. But here is a source of a Journalist from Argentina who is said to know the Argentinian Church like he knows the palm of his hand. When Bergoglio was elected this is what Marcelo Gonzales of Panorama Catolico Internacional had to say to the world about the new Pope. Roratecaeli reported it in 2013, should you look it up on roratecaeli you will see that Marcelo Gonzales was very accurate in his description of Pope Francis.
