200 Copies of Cardinals' Book in Defense of Orthodox Teaching Got Lost in the Mail Before Synod

Guest Post by Manfred Ferrari
There were five brave musketeers, all of the ecclesiastical rank of cardinal. Their great concern was that in the Synod of Bishops in 2014 things were being decided, and they themselves could not accountable to God for it, so they forged a bold plan.
They decided in haste to write a book in which they would lay down their (conservative) opinion. In der Wahrheit Christi bleiben“ [Remaining the Truth of Christ] Thus the book has been translated into several languages, as well as in German language, a seemingly impossible task, since the date of the synod was approaching. In Germany there was the Echter (Real) publishing house, which was up to the task. As the saying goes "Nomen est Omen" ... Those who today find the book in their publishing prospectus, which has so cleverly hidden the work of 5 cardinals that only historians seem to find it.
The five prelates, among whom Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, Prefect of the Congregation,  is recorded as an author, prepared themselves to send their books to the * 200 addressees in the Synod Hall *. Diligent priestly hands laced together the packages and handed them over to the foresight not of the Vatican post, but the Italian government post. A brave decision, but the latter is considered to be rather sluggish and unreliable (As an example: ... the writer received two weeks before had received a letter back that he had sent Cardinal Roger Etchegaray three months earlier, with the comment: unknown recipient). But the agile Cardinals did not calculate their bill with the host, ie with the Synod Secretary Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, who did not approve of the action of the illustrious Cardinals.
The 200 packs disappeared mysteriously, in any papal cellar archive or were perhaps even destroyed. Only two or three prelates found the book in their post. The enterprising Synod secretary was even compelled to complain to the governor of the Vatican, with the polite request to dismiss the director of the Vatican post ...
To make it clear once again it should be noted: This episode took place in the Vatican and not in the Kremlin. As I have told a friend who has traveled back in those days back to Africa this story, he smiled at me and said mildly, "Manfred why  are you angry. In South Sudan it's  not doing better ... Will the Pope order an investigation? I am not so sure...

  3. Everyone know Francis and company did it. LOL!!!!

This Pope is quickly becoming the biggest farce in Italy. I read some websites (some in Italian), and it is amazing how quickly the adulation they had for Francis is quickly becoming disgust, revulsion, and even hate.

Good riddance. It is well deserved. Maybe these people in the College of Cardinals will elect a Catholic the next time ! :)

Ambit claims won't even get near an inquiry either at the CDF or in a secular tribunal.
You are clearly upset with Francis to the point of holding him up to arbitrary contempt. You should know that there are a number of options for you: Econe or the ChristChaos circus tent.

  4. Chicago style politics. Gaybriel, don't be so harsh with Susan, she brings to mind the first principle of a US Government publication on assessing the internal controls of an organization: "The ethical tone is set by top management." Of course, this principle has been known since the Roman Republic, I just don't have an apt & snappy Latin quote at hand.

    1. Then better not to accuse the Pope of wrong doing without a shred of evidence which would stand up in a court of law. It's always a sound principle, articulated two millennia ago by a wise old Jew, 'What you hate for yourself, do not do to another. This is the whole of the Law and the Prophets. The rest is commentary, now go and study it.
Jesus repeated this principle in Matthew 7: 12.

    3. Hey Gaybriel, if you read halfway closely, you'll see that Susan did not say the Pope did it. She was pointing out the irony of mafia-like stunts happening in a jurisdiction where the head has publicly inveighed, rightly obviously, against the Mafia, and exhorted them to cease and repent.

There was a wise old Jew that Our Lord, the First Principle, repeated?

Look at the evidence in front of your eyes every single, solitary day like Chinese water torture, or don't. I have neither time nor care to engage fools. We'll all have to answer for our decisions and our words. Good luck with that. I have no pangs of conscience for mine.

Please inform the reader of your progress.

    9. Cardinals write their input on the defense of the Family. The input is published as a book. Catholics and non-Catholics rush to get their copies. Pope Francis is outraged at the audacity of those who would publish such a book!. Pope Francis orders Cardinal Muller of the CDF to distance himself from this book. Pope Francis may or may not have anything to do with the disappearance of these books. Only this is for sure, Francis didn't shed a tear over it. Now had it been 200 Koran's or 200 Torah's that this happened to! Well you can guess the reaction from Pope Francis.

    17. Its funny the only guy defending Rabbi Bergogglio appears to be a fellow unbelieving Jew. The quote "'What you hate for yourself, do not do to another. This is the whole of the Law and the Prophets. The rest is commentary, now go and study it" is not Jesus from Matthew 7, but the unbelieving rabbi Hillel. I guess the Bergogliite Jew didn't think anyone would know the New Testament well enough to catch that.

      Delete
    18. David, Christian courtesy and factual accuracy would suggest that the person you misname is Pope Francis.
In Matthew 7:12 Jesus refers to the teaching of Hillel and accepts it as his own. Jesus expands on it later in the Gospel: 22: 34-40.

If you are going to comment on Scripture or anything else for that matter, do so from a position of accuracy not blind rage and abysmal ignorance.

      Delete
    19. "Jesus refers to the teaching of Hillel and accepts it as his own." (Gabriel)

Wrong. The authors of the Talmud took Jesus' teaching and attributed it to Hillel.

      Delete
    20. Hillel lived well before the Talmud and was perhaps still living when Jesus was very young.

      Delete
    21. " Hillel lived well before the Talmud and was perhaps still living when Jesus was very young." (Gabriel)

That's irrelevant. The only written source we have claiming that Hillel said this is the Talmud, written circa 500 AD. Even if you assign as late a date as 70 AD to the first gospel, that's 430 years passing before anyone writes down that Hillel said this. So its obvious that the Talmudists simply saw that Jesus had said something wise which they wanted to include in the Talmud, but they couldn't include it as being from Jesus so they attributed it to Hillel. To say otherwise is to be a faithless Jew. What you are saying is that Jesus taught nothing unique but just regurgitated what the rabbis taught, and that is heresy. So keep defending this claim all you want: you're only outing yourself further as an unbeliever.

      Delete
    22. The Talmud also attributes a saying "Man was made to be lord of the sabbath not the sabbath to be lord of man" to a certain rabbi (I forget the name)...that sounds like Jesus' saying "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath" followed by "the son of man is lord even of the sabbath." So what's going on here, Gabriel? In classic unbeliever fashion, again, you will probably claim that Jesus is regurgitating rabbinic teaching rather than the other way around....despite the fact that the written sources for Jesus saying this were written in the first century and the Talmud was written circa 500 AD....but since you don't believe Jesus is the Son of God, you have to make him just a plagiarizer of the rabbis, just like Vatican II would have it.

      Delete
    23. Here Gabriel, an entire website of Jesus/Talmud parallels for you to play the heretic with.

Let your Yes be Yes and your No be No. - Matthew 5:34-37

A righteous yes is a Yes; a righteous no is No. - Talmud: Bava Batra 49b

Who plagiarized who? You will say "Bava Batra lived before Jesus." Ah, but even if he did (I know that's just the name of the book) this was written in 500 AD!!!! The gospels were written in the first century!

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. - Matthew 11:25

Rabbi Johanan said: Since the Temple was destroyed, prophecy has been taken from prophets and given to fools and children. - Talmud: Bava Batra 12b

This one actually shows that the sayings in the Talmud are QUOTING JESUS since no character before Jesus could speak of the temple's destruction as past. Its the same with all the parallels: they quote Jesus without admitting it.

      Delete
    24. Now Gabriel, if you try and take the same tactic as that website and say "Yeshua supported much of what they [the Pharisees] taught, as he often quoted from the Mishnah (the early portion of the Talmud) which is an entirely Pharisaic document" and proceed to claim that the Mishnah existed in Jesus time, understand that although the Mishnah is earlier than the full Talmud, it is not that early. The full Talmud was put together in 500 AD...and when was the Mishnah written? 200 AD!!!!! So how could Jesus be quoting it? But the gospels were written in the first century, so surely the Mishnah can be quoting Jesus without admitting it, or quoting phrases which Jesus taught which somehow had over the course of a century and a half entered into the public consciousnesses of the Jews...in other words, some of Jesus' teaching sank in over that one and a half century, and it got written down into the Mishnah....what's so hard to understand about that?

      Delete
    25. Let us hear, Gabriel, who wrote the Mishnah and when:

"The Mishnah consists of 63 tractates codifying Jewish law, which are the basis of the Talmud. According to Rabbi Abraham ben David, the Mishnah was compiled by Rabbi Judah the Prince in anno mundi 3,949, or what is also the year 500 of the Seleucid Era, which date corresponds to 189 CE." (Wikipedia article on Judah the Prince)

      And when the Talmud?

"The Talmud has two components. The first part is the Mishnah (Hebrew: משנה, c. 200 CE), the written compendium of Rabbinic Judaism's Oral Torah (Torah meaning "Instruction", "Teaching" in Hebrew). The second part is the Gemara (c. 500 CE), an elucidation of the Mishnah and related Tannaitic writings that often ventures onto other subjects and expounds broadly on the Hebrew Bible. The term Talmud can be used to mean either the Gemara alone, or the Mishnah and Gemara as printed together." (Wikipedia article on the Talmud)

And you dare claim that Jesus was quoting one or both of these documents that are clearly quoting him?

    2. It is a very cogent and comprehensive but short and simple-in-presentation book, covering all aspects of the sacrament of marriage, the Eucharist and Confession that come into play in relation to the evil suggestion that people who leave their spouses and "marry" another under civil law may receive Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. It's truly awful that things have got so bad, due to the Holy See and its Synod of Bishoos, etc., that such basic truths must be explained in detail.

There's an old verse from the old classic 1976 BBC mini-series "I Claudius" which totally describes Pope Francis and his associates.

It is when Claudius, realizing that he is slowly being poisioned by those against him, sees the corruption that will come when he is gone. So he says to himself:

"Let all the poisons that lurk in the mud hatch out".

    That's Francis & Company.

  14. Lombardi has pooh-poohed and minimized the allegations of mail-tampering. Lombardi is not Baldisseri's creature. He isn't Kasper's or Marx's. He's the Pope's. Lombardi functions as papal spokesman presumably because he represents the Pope's views. He isn't going to displease his boss to please the stooge Baldisseri. Draw your own conclusions.

The only alternative is to believe that Bergoglio/Francis is only the creature of Baldisseri, Kasper and the rest of that mafia. Are we to credit a view of him as a pitiful puppet? I don't buy it. I believe Francis is pulling the strings.

  15. I have just read that Edward Pentin has revealed who the culprit is that is responsible for the missing 200 books. It was the Synod Chief Cardinal Baldisseri. It is said that criminal charges may be filed for tampering with the Vatican's Postal Service. The Postal Service it is reported, tried to stop him but he did it anyway. If Pope Francis didn't know it then, he knows it now. Cardinal Baldisseri need not fear, as Francis is "Humble and Merciful". Had a traditionalist done something like this, then that traditionalist would have reason to fear and tremble at the humility and mercy of Pope Francis. Ask the FFI.

  16. I am afraid that, if the Devil is at work in the Roman Catholic Church, it is almost impossible to stop him.
In my opinion, only daily prayers for a long time by ALL those who work in the Vatican, together with repeated exorcisms everywhere in the Vatican State would succeed in expelling the Devil.
Jesus gave us all the means to prevent this terrible situation happening but the pride of the men in charge despised them. The prayer to St Michael that Jesus asked Pope Leo to draw, which he ordered to be recited at the end of all masses was abrogated by Paul VI.
    WHY ?!!!
The late Father Malachi Martin asserted that a satanic ceromony of enthronement of Satan in the Vatican was held by some priests and prelates in 1963 during Paul VI's papacy.
The result is that the power of the Devil in the Church never was so strong as currently.
