Throughout history, the Church has often resembled a "wild garden". But it has ever been "newly planted and watered" again and again. So in spite of everything today, said the Bishop. "seeds" would germinate and bear fruit and that applies to every believer as well as family, community and church. God counted on a "sower" to ensure "that we lend him voice, hands and heart and through our personal testimony to multiply the faith," said Klaus Küng, who has led, since 2004, the Diocese of St. Pölten. Previously, he was the bishop of Feldkirch (Vorarlberg) for 15 years. Küng who belongs to Opus Dei is going to finish his 75th year this coming September 17. It is believed that Pope Francis is going to emeritus him in the fall.
Eucharist is the "Beating Heart" of the Church
As a consultant the nun, Sister Maria Lisa Haim, also spoke on the Holy Eucharist as the "vital principle" and "beating heart" of the Church. The entire daily life of the Church would be strengthened and invigorated by it, such as preaching and diaconal life. The Second Vatican Council Eucharist, therefore, described the Eucharist as "the source and summit of the Christian life." The decree "Lumen Gentium", since it is the sacrament that love, "which comes from God and Jesus bids his disciples do as he has" says Sr. Haim., who herself belongs to the pontifically recognized Community, Pro Deo et Fratribus - Family of Mary, while she is also a graduate of the Philosophical-Theological College St. Pölten. Her community which belongs to the priestly community Work of Jesus the High Priest (OJSS) has taken over the former Servite House of Gratzen (Nove Hrady) and looks after the nearby pilgrimage site of Maria Brünnl (Dobra Voda) in the former German-South Bohemia (Sudetenland) near the border to Austria.
Protect Life from Conception to Natural death
As part of the Thomas Academy two theses of the graduates from the Philosophical-Theological College were also presented about the right to life. Julia Blaimschein spoke on "The moral Status of Human Embryos." She showed five arguments, the "good reasons" there are to protect the human embryo after conception.
Eva Doppelbauer, former spokeswoman for Gloria.tv, spoke about "Euthanasia as a Conspiracy Against Life". The speaker warned of the "case of pity" and pointed out that a slow but steady shifting of arguments and steps will lead towards the legalization of euthanasia.

They are upset over the celebration?? The bad part about this is in where and how the pallium is received locally because the perecption will be that each bishop is his own boss. No need of a pope or "bishop of Rome".This is all quite planned and well orchestrated by the Prots in Rome.

As for the pallia - IIRC they have on occasion been conferred by others than the Popes, so I don't think this is comparable to Paul VI's abolition of the tonsure or of the subdiaconate. I can see that it may be unpopular at Rome, but, like beatification by ordinaries instead of by the Pope alone, it can be justified by the principle of subsidiarity.
Traditionalists shouldn't jump to conclusions or assume the worst - anything the Press says on Church matters needs to be taken with a grain of salt, because it it not unknown for the Press to distort what comes from Rome. (This happened a lot to Benedict XVI). A lot of what is said can in any can be given a perfectly scandal-free and harmless interpretation. In a less excitable & feverish age, that is what would happen, and rightly so.

My neighbor who has a daughter in the convent in Italy (she went to an Italian Order which still wear the old fashioned 1950's habits and are true nuns, rather than seek a USA Order which modified itself), just returned from Rome.
She said that the people in Rome itself are turning against this Pope. And so is much of Italy. They see him as a radical who would destroy and do away with much more than Paul VI during his 1970-78 period of abolisihing ceremony and symbolism of the Papacy and traditional Faith.
I don't remember her daughter's Orders name, other than it's something like "Ancelle di Gesu Sacerdote", or something like that.
They are an old Order, founded in 1881 as religious educators in schools, and missionaries. Her daughter is the 2nd American member. They have at present 16 postulants, of which 2 are Americans....so it must be a good group. The rest are local Italian girls and 1 from Korea. She gave me a photo of them, and I was amazed to see really traditional nuns. Their veil would making droving in a car difficult though ! LOL
But there is good news around about the Church. Here and there are Orders etc. which have escaped the disaster of Vatican II. The Order has 226 members, which isn't big, but my neighbor said the Mother General said they are down a little, but not collapsed since Vatican II, and are even thinking of opening 2 new convents/schools in Italy this year. So where traditional Catholicism is, it is flourishing and hopefully will escape the eye of the heretic Pope, who probably despises these good nuns who use the Vatican II Mass ad orientam, but sing in their choir in Italian AND Latin.
Tancred: If this is correct it is important but I have been unable to find any such statement in La Repubblica. They seem to have taken all their information from Hoy which seems to have a monopoly on this story. Can you provide a link to this statement?
