Benedictus XVI
Papa emeritus
Città del Vaticano10-10-2014Most honorable Delegate-General,
I have at last found the time to thank you for your letter of the past August 21. I am very glad that theUsus antiquus now lives in full peace within the Church, also among the young, supported and celebrated by great Cardinals.
I will be spiritually with you. My state as a 'cloistered monk' does not allow me a presence that is also exterior. I leave my cloister only in particular cases, [when] personally invited by the Pope.
In communion of prayer and friendship.
Yours in the Lord,Benedict XVI
So, he obeys Francis. If Francis were an anti-pope, then how could the real pope, Benedict XVI, obey him without himself being an anti-pope…
ReplyDeleteI am sure the pilgrims were delighted to receive such a letter. Nevertheless, his sentiment of gladness that the Usus Antiquus lives in full peace within the church either ignores or is unaware of the actual reality - it is being pushed to the limits and traditionalists are being targeted by the antipathetic bishop of Rome who in his ardent infatuation with the Talmud and Talmudic Zionists is guided by hatred for those of us who will never cede ground on the perpetual rights of Sacred Tradition in the liturgy or doctrine: no coincidences there! This is no ordinary struggle at this moment in ecclesiastical history - the enemy controls within but its time for persecution is limited and it will eventually be overthrown.
ReplyDeleteBenedict XVI would never be given permission by this ultra-revolutionary papal incumbent to attend any Latin Mass. There is a diplomatically worded statement to that effect in the letter. The mind of the moderate liberal juxtaposed with that of a radical is no more than a few words in a missive. The ultimate reality is that genuine traditionalists are left to fight on in the church alone with Faith, Hope and Trust. Thankfully, we need not measure Divine power numerically.
This letter looks phony to me. From the briefness to the use of quotes. Not to mention it says absolutely nothing.
ReplyDeleteIt's what they call a courtesy.

ReplyDeleteReally? Franciscans of the Immaculate? Fort Worth Bishop? Costa Rica? just to mention a few. More restrictions coming, I'm afraid, with Papal approval.
Garbage. Pure Garbage and nonsense. What a disastrous mistake for Pope Benedict to resign. Pope Francis is a horrible pope, chosen only because he was the opposite of Benedict and now painfully tearing down anything that was built up under Benedict. I would have rather that the Pope Emeritus said nothing at all.
ReplyDeleteTake it up with the man upstairs. For now, there is ongoing resistance:

Please give me an idea of how Francis, who, I suppose, we can call a "peritus in a hurry," is the opposite of Benedict, Vatican II peritus. And I concede that Ratzinger is more than somewhat wistful of the losses that resulted from Modernist vandalism, having been born and raised closer to Rome. But what did Benedict build up? Reforms, yes, but how could one build when Bergoglio and company were present to undermine, said undermining being a logical extension of the rhetoric of V II?
DeleteSummorum Pontificum is still in effect and the SSPX looks like it's about ready to sign an agreement.
DeleteThey're already authorized even to say Mass at Guadalupe Cathedral.
Pope Francis will be 78 in 6 weeks. Perhaps he won't be here for 79? Let's all just thank God that he was not elected in 2005....like he almost was. There would be nothing left of the Catholic Church or Papacy by now.
ReplyDeleteHe's done a fantastic job in ruining the Church in barely two years. But he does not have much time left. I wonder if he ever fears his approaching end. A Pope like that should.
The letter is a fake, even the italian words are wrong and this is not of pope Benedict, he spoke italian better than italians do, the irony is in the words: claustrated, I go out only if the boR invites me. Is Mater Ecclesiae another Tower of London, oh no, for God's sake, take it for what it is, a kidding message. MK.
ReplyDeleteGiuseppe Nardi thinks it's legit.
DeleteThe message was read publcly. I doubt someone would have dared to do so, if the message was a fake.
