(Rome) After the Order revived monasteries that were abandoned by other orders, the monasteries fall now again to degradation by the Apostolic Commissioner. A Catholic layman, who was led back to the Faith by the Franciscans of the Immaculate, sent an e-mail recently. In it, he laments the closure of a monastery of the Franciscans of the Immaculate. "I want to begin by saying that I'm a nobody and I feel as last among the faithful. But I also feel a great pain, seeng the Franciscan Friarss of the Immaculate Conception given the ax by his hand. "
The Monastery of Sassoferrato in the Marches had been abandoned by the Franciscan Order for lack of growth. The Franciscans of the Immaculate revived the monastery a few years ago new as they are ever thus also known for taking over abandoned monasteries of other orders because of their numerous vocations and bringing them to new life. At last count the convent of Sassoferrato has 60 brothers.
The Apostolic Commissioner Father Fidenzio Volpi being used by Rome, has now dissolved the monastery. The same fate will be met this week by the monastery of Colfano also a friary abandoned by the Franciscan Order in the Marches, which was founded during the lifetime of St. Francis of Assisi. In July 2012, the Franciscans of the Immaculate encamped there and led the Franciscan life, which had filled the friary of Colfano for 800 years (see separate report New Monastery of the Franciscans of the Immaculate - Flowering Religious Tradition ). Now even this convent will be dissolved by the Apostolic Commissioner. The Order of Father Stefano Maria Manelli had, in an exceptional counter-movement to the general trend, reached vocations as high of 800 religious when the religious congregation intervened.
"The novices and seminarians are disoriented, the brothers in perpetual vows are being destroyed by agony," says the believer in his e-mail. "They are treated as if they were heretics." It was Pope Benedict XVI., who opened access to the traditional rite of the Order as with all religious, priests and lay people. "With the arrival of a new pope, the Order may not be as familiar to them as to Benedict, 'someone' has gone over to the attack, with the result that is now in front of everyone to see." Now, every priest must ask permission to the to be able to celebrate the Old Rite, and if he wants to do it in front of the faithful, he must also apply for explicit permission each time. "Anyone who knows the history of the Capuchin nun Sister Veronica from Fermo or those of Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, knows how strong the attack of calumny can be, to fight and brake mystics."
What can these brothers "have done that is so criminal? They pray, do penance and rebuild abandoned monasteries again. "

I can't feel anything but sadness, and anger from this fact.
God help me, but I can't help but think the only way to stop this is with violence. Otherwise, traditional Catholics will share the same fate as those Syrian and Egyptian Christians who are martyred by the godless Mohammedans.
My heart breaks all the more, when it is Catholics who do it to others. Here is the Church, desecrated by enemies outside, being strangled by leaders within.
Maybe the right way is to resign to this the Passion of the Church; if the Head of the Church, which is Christ, must suffer, die, and be resurrected- so does the Body.
Don't give in to despair, or else violence is inevitable, and much bloodshed will occur, as this is the only other way. The morally safe way is to suffer and die at the hands of these Pharisees who wear their robes and miters and give outward appearances of holiness.
The author seems not to understand! Surely the whole point of this exercise is to prevent the increase in Christ's Church and her mission?

This pope hates the tradition minded. I bet he will not be washing any feet of the Franciscans of the Immaculate in any humble photo-op soon. This order is faithful and orthodox. Their prayers are powerful and the enemy of souls hates it as well as the Latin Mass which is the most powerful source of grace. This is outright persecution by the "merciful" pope. Mercy is for everyone...the atheist, the invalidity married, etc. but NOT for the most faithful of Catholics. The pope hates them and wants them destroyed.
Alright I retract that the Pope hates them. I could not possibly know that. Lets say that is SEEMS like it.
This is going to end badly for the perpetrators of this scandal. Just stick around and watch.
The wolves have taken control.
The wolves have taken control.
The radicals and liberals anr dancing with joy. They are thrilled with Pope Francis over this.
Would it not be a supreme irony, if in the midst of all this laughter and celebration by the liberals, their hero Pope Francis were to die suddenly and unexpectedly. Like John Paul I.
God certainly is not pleased either by this action, or the glee from those who are celebrating it. Something might happen that will soon turn their cheers into tears.
You were right the first time. The pope hates what is Catholic. There is only Catholic, not Catholic...traditional or otherwise. Just Catholic and he hates us. Oh well. Tough toenails.
A modern day persecution of the Church is in full swing. To destroy the Faith and the Church, faithful and orthodox priests must be destroyed. Without priests there will be no more Sacraments. A similar thing is also happening in other dioceses in the United States where manufactured accusations are leveled against them by their own bishops and chancery officials so they can use the Dallas Charter against them, and hence remove them easily without much resistance because the priests feared being unjustly exposed. We have evil bishops and evil priests working in concert with the devil to persecute faithful priests. The laity should defend out priests before the Church falls into the hands of Satan!
It already is in the hands of Satan.....Francis and company (Wuerl, etc., etc, etc.)
It is time for a Schism. Rome has lost the faith that is so blatantly obvious. It is time to take from Rome all that we can. Francis is an Anathema, and Anti Pope and an Anti Christ....NOT FOR JUST THIS, but read his statements, some, go against Catholic Teaching itself. One cannot be a heretic and Pope and his edicts do not need to be obeyed.
No, friend.
Truth does not break away from itself, only lies turn away from Truth. And so, there can be no Schism from the True Church unless we be Schismatics from the True Church.
The Church which is with Christ is the one that shall survive- but remember our Lord!
How diminished was He?
How beaten and bruised was His noble Face?
And how many shames did He endure for our sake?
Like a lamb to the slaughter, He spoke no word of protest though He spoke the Truth, indeed He IS Truth!
But He took it all upon Himself as the Perfect Offering to the Lord, and so, we must become like Christ, for this is the true moment of such a test for His sake.
Remember, all of this is God's Will- blessed are those who take no offense in Him.
Trust in God's Will!
He will deliver us, as He always delivered us time after time- are we to say that God had delivered His people from Egypt, from Babylon, from the Romans, from the Moor, from the Turk, from the Revolution, from Communism, and many, many, many tribulations... Only to leave us now?
If the good Franciscans of the Immaculate are suffering, it is God's Will, as it was His Will that Christians elsewhere suffer and die. Why? We can never know, because He is the Master of Life and Death, not us.
All that I know and we can know is that because God suffered and died for us, the existence of suffering does not run against the existence of God. So trust in the Lord, always!
"How can we judge with certainty of the interior intentions of a person whose doubts, errors, difficulties, temptations, good desires and repentance that we do not know? How can we judge justly when we do not know the details of a case? God alone is capable of judging with certainty the secret intention of hearts or those that are not sufficiently manifested." -Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, O.P., opponent of Nouvelle Theologie.
Beware that if in the end, they are truly innocent of any accusation we thought were rightly made against them, we will have to take an account for this in front of God.
Let us follow the traditional advice of our father among the saints, Bernard of Clairvaux: Excuse the intention, if you cannot excuse the deed and attribute it to ignorance, surprise, or chance. If a fault is so evident and so criminal that there is no way we can excuse it, then we should ask ourselves this question: 'If I've been set upon by the same temptation, and God had permitted the Devil the same power to tempt me, what might have happened to me?"
Sure, they're just accidentally persecuting one of the most Traditional and successful orders in the Church for no real reason when other orders, like the Benedictines of Collegeville are delierately stocked with seething perverts and degenerates.
You'll be judged for credulity too.
Are we to connect this scandal to the removal of Cardinal Burke from the Congregation of Bishops - replaced by Cardinal Wuerl (God help us)?
I do not doubt the sinfulness of each and every one of us, but it is best to be judged for something other than presumption of the guilt of someone (especially he who is a cleric) I do not know. It is likely that I project my own evil on other people if I judge them rashly. Even if true, let us remember that a person's good name is something entitled to them, and it cannot be restored easily.
They are ignorant, if they are not doing something accidental.
If you must, correct them, but with charity and love. Otherwise, how do you correct them, with violence and hate?
The objective is to convert them, to turn them from their ways, even if we die from this mission; it isn't to just sit around blogs and talking about how terrible so-and-so is, or what a scandal such-and-such is. There is the frustration, we are almost self-pitying as traditionalists- "Woe to us!"
Rather, who has stood in front of these degenerates and ignoramuses and preached to them tradition? Do we dare follow those holy men who preached to the unbelieving pagans, and even more recently, people who tried to reform the orders, like St. John of the Cross?
He suffered at the hands of his own order, even though he did nothing wrong. But he -did- something good. Now, our challenge is to do what he did, except in a universal scale. This is especially hard because there are no mechanisms in the Church that will allow laypeople to do anything other than pray and talk. Only traditional clergy can actually effect change, only if they are elevated to positions of authority.
It is easier to just sit and express how outraged we are. That is the sloth and indolence we must avoid.
Where are -our- leaders? What are -they- doing? Are we encouraging them, or are they not doing anything? How organized are we, truly? Are we being avoided by people who could help effect change? Do we draw in people who can help effect change?
I remember the incident wherein Cardinal Burke left a seminar because the speaker was speaking boldly against the Pope. Isn't it possible, that good men avoid tradition because tradition does not look wholesome when taken into the extreme of fanaticism?
Well said, Father.
Gosh...have you ever heard of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre or Bishop Castro de Meyer or Bishop Richard Williamson? These are the men "who [have] stood in front of these degenerates and ignoramuses and preached to them tradition."
Nobody has been correcting Father Volpi with violence and hate, maybe a few commenters, but their anger is understandable and if their anger is understandable, Father Volpi's bad will is demonstrable.
Isn't it possible that real men who could effect change are averse to the Catholic religion because so many soft and vindictive men and unfortunately, women, are in positions of authority?
Yes, I believe it's possible to project and rashly judge people who have legitimate concerns and point a condescending finger when they raise questions about the ongoing corruption and malfeasance among the senior clergy.
Francis is basically the opposite of John The Baptist. He is paving the way for the man of perdition. Francis the Un-Baptist.
Turning away from the lies and heresy pouring from Rome is not schism. It is adhering to the true teachings of the Church.
We presently experience the fulfillment of the prophecy of Our Lady of LaSalette! Also the prophecies speaking of a disputed papal election. Quo Vadis Pope Benedict? Who will consecrate Russia and save us?
Then surely, you fit right in with the other schismatics, i.e. The Orthodox, the Protestants, the "Old Catholics" (who are now ordaining women, apparently) who each consider themselves "The True Church"
In fact, how very modern of you to believe that the truth is anything you personally judge is the truth.
Begone with you! You follow Judas by abandoning Peter! You will go to your own place!
What a silly response. The truth comes from the infallible teaching of the Church.
And the "Church" is anything you personally agree with. No True Scotsman, indeed!
Which Church? The Roman Catholic Church? Without the Pope, there is no Catholicity. Do you declare an anti-Pope? Or a vacant throne? Maybe you declare collegiality?
To say that the truth comes from the infallible teaching of the Church reeks of Protestant heresy; rather, the infallible teaching of the Church comes from Truth Himself, who taught His Apostles, with Peter at the head.
Without Peter, there is no authority, and you can have your happy decentralized "Church". But in truth, you cut yourself off from the Church, and your only destination is Hell unless you repent.
Will you say "Non Serviam!"?
Do what the Pope says. The Lord gave you a Pope, He does not owe you a good Pope.
Protestant heresy? To believe all that has been taught and held always and everywhere from every one of the twenty valid Church Councils, from the saints, Doctors of the Church for 2000 years. It is precisely because the Church cannot err, cannot institute anything harmful for the faithful that I reject the heresies of VatII and the New Order mess. I stay faithful to the Papacy and pray God will soon restore a true pope to us. This has all been foretold to us again, and again. Why is it so hard to see? Because it's terrible and uncomfortable (to say the least)? It is far more terrible to believe that the Holy Spirit is leading us into error.
Everyone, let's switch to the Antiochian Orthodox Church. This particular successor to Peter has failed. The Church of the martyrs is with Antioch.
While this successor to Peter is talking about tweets and posting selfies and talking about the poor and being a celebrity-
The other one is overseeing a church being dismantled by Muslims, and his flock is being butchered by wolves.
I'm inclined to follow a good shepherd than a negligent one.
No thanks.
"Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a REVOLT FIRST, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he SITTETH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, shewing himself as if he were God. Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that HE WHO NOW HOLDETH (the pope), do hold, UNTIL HE BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY.
And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, and in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: that all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.
(2 Thess 2:3-11)
Keep faith! Violence was not the option when Christ came the first time as the Romans persecuted the Israelites. "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword."
Nobody, not Rome or anybody else, can command somebody to disobey Divine Law.
Pray for the Capuchins in Morgon, France to grow and flourish!
More people are converted by one martyr than by 10,000 soldiers.
Can't have growth now, can we ?
"Begone with you! You follow Judas by abandoning Peter! You will go to your own place! "
## If Peter abandons Christ, to reject the sins of Peter to follow Christ is no denial of Christ. If the Pope acts as Satan, as Christ called Peter at one point (see Matthew 16), to reject those Papal acts & attitudes as a rejection of Christ is a duty to Christ, though all the Popes in the universe should object. Jesus Christ is Lord - if the Pope insists on behaving like the wicked servant in the parable who wronged his fellow-servants and was cast into the outer darkness by his Lord when He returned, that is the Pope's choice: just as it a choice any Christian might make. "God is not mocked", as Galatians 6.7 points out.
If this Pope changes any Catholic doctrine regarding divorce etc it will definitely lead to a schism. No one is going to tolerate tampering with Catholic doctrine.
Enough is enough - I and many faithful Catholics have stayed in the Church for the last 40 years but we've had a gutful of what this Pope has done since his "election". He has made a mockery of the papacy. He is a public joke with rosary beads flung at him, dangling from his ear, wearing clown noses, etc. I pray for a short papacy.
Do you-all know of Maria Divine Mercy who prophesied of Benedict's stepping-down not only one year prior but also two years'?? Warning--much is given regarding these days and available to be found at a number of available links--the church is never to be divided AND IS ALWAYS TO PRACTICE THE SACRAMENTS even when the official body leaves HER SACRED TRADITION AS WHEN JESUS left the official temple behind while still standing and HE WAS STILL IN IT.

I ask my catholic friends whether they would like to meet with me for prayer?? wdischler@mail.com THANKS
