Edit: we'd reported earlier that Father Mark Tegeder, who is the pastor of a dissident parish in Minneapolis, Minnesota, just couldn't shut up about the Archbishop's work to defend marriage. Despite threats from the Archdiocese he keep his mouth closed, the Civil Rights priest believes he's on a quest.
Archbishop Nienstedt's been taking on the decadent Monastery of St. John's Abbey, demanding that Father Bob Pierson not speak in his Diocese, but what will become of Zen Garden Tegeder?
He says he's "uncomfortable", but apparently he's not uncomfortable enough. Traditionalist Catholic priests have been suspended and sent packing without their benefits, without anything more than unemployment for merely saying things that are Catholic but unpoular.
What will happen when a priest attempts to capture a popular, but morally depraved, movement but utters something uncatholic? Here's the article from "Princeton Eagle"
“Interestingly, though, we have also seen a sharp decline in the amount of politicking in churches (and all places of worship) over the last five years or so, which suggests that clergy have recognized the danger in mixing too much Caesar in place of God,” Campbell said in the email.
Minnesota pastors and religious leaders, while in general not dismissive of the idea that churches can be sullied through political activity, appraise the risks differently.
“I think we’re all uncomfortable,” Pastor Tegeder said.
But churches have always reacted to events in society, he said.
Martin Luther King, the great civil rights leader, came out of the African-American Baptist church.
He witnessed or presided at thousands of marriages, explained Tegeder, and it’s the commitment, not the sexes, that’s sacred.

So easy to take care of this type and his followers and the bishop has all the power to deal with it. A hard and SWIFT kick in the shorts would straighten this priest right up. Works in my house. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE PROGRAM for rebellion. There are NO dissidents under this roof.
Brutalising people wont help either
I wouldn't really advocate treating Liberal dissidents like they've treated Traditionalist priests over the years, but justice needs to be done.
"Dissident Cathoic" is an oxymoron, as a "dissident" is NO LONGER Catholic.
it's the commitment, not the sexes, that's sacred.
it is what they commit that is sinful.
The mission is to Save Souls, period. All else is secondary.
#1 Homosexuality is a MORTAL sin DESPISED by God.
#2 Marriage is Sacramental therefore impossible for Homosexuals or Lesbians as it could never be valid. See #1.
#3 Marriage is solely for the purpose of procreation, and NOT for anyone's "mutual sexual comfort". To marry to "legitimize" a couple's sexual acts in order to avoid sin alone would be invalid. Two people of the same sex CANNOT procreate. Adoption does NOT COUNT as procreation and neither does surrogacy. Besides...See #1.
Are we sure it's only the sodomy, and not also the sodomite, that God hates? See Psalm 5.
He resembles a characteristicly frustrated post-conciliar presbyter - dressed like a layperson. They behave as though they are ashamed to be Catholic.
However, after 50 years of officially encouraged dissidence in the post-conciliar church it appears normal. The stimulus for disobedience began when Pope Paul VI overturned the traditional for the protestant liturgical rite. Everyhting else has its origins there. When popes hold Masses with illicit behaviours then this is a clear signal to do as you please. Their ecumenist and interreligious policies have propagated dissidence even further.
He ran his last parish - St. Edwards into the ground, saddling them with an on-site urn cemetery that violates zoning laws and diocesean policies, putting a cloud on it's clean real estate title. He stacked the staff with heretics of whom formed and run the Archbishoped supressed CCCR which advocates homosexual marriage, women priests etc. He provided parish support to almost all the supressed unorthodox/heretical organization, Call To Action, CPCSM, CCCR,...HE'S A COMPLETE MESS, HIS FORMER PARISH IS COMPLETE MESS...TRADE HIM TO ST. JOHN'S MONASTERY FOR A LOAF OF BREAD!
Certain passages can be interpreted as meaning God hates ANY and EVERY unrepentant sinner. Yet must not the Old Testament and all other scripture be looked at from the vantage point of Christ and His sacrifice for sinners? Any of us who have committed mortal sin in our lives would never have returned to God apart from His grace. That He gives grace to those in mortal sin in order that they might repent means He does love sinners, even before they repent. I know former "Sodomites" who have repented and now live a virtuous life. God must have loved them even in their sin, else they never would have repented. What about the prodigal son, the lost sheep, the woman's coin? I agree with the moral doctrine of the Church and in fact am something of a traditionalist, but comments like this risk making the Good News into bad news. God calls sinners because He loves them. No sin is unforgivable except the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which, as Saint Augustine explained, consist in hardenuing one's heart to the point of being unable to receive God's mercy.
Some people still want to cherish the affiliation long after they've renounced it, apparently.
