From Emperor He Remains a Great European
Vatican: Benedict XVI has listened with deep sympathy to the passing of His Imperial Majesty, Archduke Otto of Austria. That was in a telegram to his son, His Imperial Majesty Karl of Austria. The departed Emperor had been an indispensible witness to the incomparable history of Europe -- the Pope wrote: "In his responsibility to God and in consciousness of an important heritage, he advocated as a greater European, tirelessly for peace, the co-existence of peoples and a just order on this continent."
