Tancred, what's your gut feeling about all of this?
Also, in my entire life I have never seen such a united vehemence directed toward any priest (Catholic media, bloggers and their never ending parade of useful idiots).
Personally, I suspect Father Corapi has fallen back into some bad habits (sin). But I certainly don't know the entire truth. Regardless, I think the proper course of action for him would be to get rid of all of the money he has, ditch the business and go back to his order. Better to have him as a quiet prayer warrior than adopting this bizarre persona.
With all of that said, some of the self-righteous tone from many in the Catholic blogosphere is sickening. Few seem to realize we have a man down on the battlefield in the clutches of Satan.
Unlike the condemning, so-called Catholics, I understand where John Corapi is coming from. I do not consider this disobedience as many do because many of the facts are unknown, such as, what kind of arrangement did Father Corapi have with the Order? In fact, I question the obedience of Rev. Sheehan for going against the advice that the Founder Rev. Flanagan gave to Father Corapi to file a civil suit. Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing?
From where I sit, it looks like division amongst the ranks and then intimidation coming down from the Bishops to Bishop Mulvey and then to SOLT. In my opinion, powerful people want to shut Father Corapi up. His worldwide TV ministry taught many people that Socialism is evil. How would that sit with the UN's 21 Agenda and the elitists who want to rule the world of dummies?
It is not above their tactics to bribe someone to make such an accusation and then falsify documentation such as emails, etc. to offer as proof. After all, we have a president who spent over a million dollars to keep his personal records sealed and then submitted a forgery for a long form birth certificate. One would think that the president would be above such stupidity.
I have learned so much about the Catholic faith from Father Corapi that I don't see any reason not to continue to listen to what he has to say...He loves the Church and I believe him!
Therefore, I will join the faithful in daily prayer for John Corapi (who will always be Father Corapi to me.)that the truth shall be revealed and for his safety. I will also pray that he goes back to au naturale..the black gotee is rather sinister looking. Then, I will wait on the Lord who will reveal the truth to all. Many will eat their shameful words for not acting like Christ whether John Corapi is innocent or guilty (weak). Jesus loves him and wants his soul as he loves each and everyone of us. Lord, have mercy on everyone involved and bring about a peaceful outcome. Thank you, Lord.

I was pleased to hear him say that he doesn't matter much in all this but that it's the Church that matters.
ReplyDeleteI think it happens all-too-often in the past that priests like Father Corapi have been silenced unjustly for various reasons.
It should be pointed out that the people demanding obedience in this case, aren't themselves big advocates of obedience themselves.
My question to the Bishop of Corpus Christi has been, "how can you expect something from someone you aren't willing to do yourself?"
