Just to show you how crazy this abuse-hoax is, you've got people calling out for Father Corapi's blood for being accused of breaking his vow of chastity, and over here, you have people calling for Bishop Finn's resignation because a priest who was accused of using child pornography committed suicide. Talk about wild examples of rash judgment, illogic and moral hysteria.

Here's your future: when you die and go to the Pearly Gates, St Peter is going to ask you about that comment and others like it. He is then going to introduce you to victims. He is then going to make you watch their lives. THat is your eternity.
Presumption is a serious sin, but your exaggerated comment is a perfect example of what's being discussed.
Communists and Fascists have in the past and are presently using children in their emotional appeals by creating an atmosphere of moral hysteria to support their ideological goals.

Actually, if I were you, I'd be far more worried about the Democratic National Committee and the ACLU than Catholic priests and bishops, if I were you.
Speaking of hoaxes, SNAP continues to smear our old pastor's name even after he was proven innocent by the police and courts.
Of course, some of the SNAP cultists would probably blow that off as nothing. Fantastic, self-contradictory tall tales from a criminal equals guilty in their eyes.
I have zero sympathy for that organization.
This gem from a popular blogger "All of this emotionalism and chaos, by the way, is pretty unseemly for followers of Christ." Good thing the comment section of her blog is silenced. All "this emotionalism and chaos" was caused by her and her ilk - the other popular bloggers who blew this entire Corapi affair up and out of all reasonable proportion. Of course, their coterie of fawning toadies helped tremendously too.
The Church is in chaos. Any sane, reasonable and rational voice has, at this point in time, little chance of being heard.
We haven't seen any fawning toadies defending Father Corapi. The Bishop Emeritus of Corpus thinks well enough of him to defend him, and that's really amazing in this atmosphere. Deo Gratias for that.
Most of his detractors seem motivated primarily by contempt for his wealth and talents, and are drawing lurid pictures of Father on the basis of their fervid imaginations and viciousness.
I suspect most of his blog detractors are on someone's payroll not unlike their counterparts in the secular media. It is obvious that this has all been orchestrated by someone somewhere. They got the word to destroy, and they have done a good job.
My question is: have they no conscience?
Thinking about putting together an enemies list right now.
