He either didn't hear the question clearly at the very end, which is supported by his request for the speaker to repeat her question, or he ducked it. It sounds like he got off onto a tangent.
He did not contradict the pro-life position.
It's true that he said he would not like to see compulsion. But, that was clearly in reference to equal distribution of wealth, and not abortion. In his answers he was unequivocally supportive of the right to life.
