Al Jazeera has reported that the police are receiving automatic weapons fire, and the BBC is whitewashing the thing as well, showing white bystanders watching the thing going on since July 17th.
Rioters were protesting a man who was shot by police when he was evading arrest in Grenoble.

Given the violent background of Islam I'm not surprised. To them the Crusades are still going on and to a degree that's true. This is a battle for souls and those on the side of violence will stop at nothing to conquer others through fear. Deus Vult.
I saw somewhere that somebody in Saudi Arabia "gave permission" for Muslim women to go without the burkha in France.
Islam is like Protestantism. There is no official leader or spokesman since the last Ottoman Caliph died. So anybody who wants can declare himself to be an official spokesman.
I'd like to see more accurate coverage on this. This story is a week old and nothing was released on it, at least not here.
