Pro-Homosexual Jesuit Speaker in Archdiocese of St Paul, Minnesota

There is going to be a "Retreat" by a Jesuit who promotes the moral and psychological normalcy of Homosexuality and Liberation Theology and despite warnings from concerned individuals, the Archdiocese has steadfastly refused to do anything about these dissidents speaking in its jurisdication this evening and all day tomorrow.

Dennis McGrath, Communications Director for the Archdiocese of Minnesota who even warned us of the "Catholic Coalition for Church Reform", insists that he's been doing everything possible to keep Michael Bayly, a local homosexual activist, and speakers friendly to him off of Archdiocesan property as speakers or people involved officially with the Archdiocese in any way. We think that he would prefer there weren't any Catholics in the Archdiocese at all, you know, no oversight.

We've just been informed that Terri Griep, a freelance writer, who is organizing the talk is a close collaborator with Michael Bayly and is herself not "harmonious with Catholic teachings" regarding Homosexuality and Liberation Theology. She describes her mission with the Catholic Coalition for Church Reform this way.

Is it consistent with the Gospel message of transforming love and abundant life to construct and promote a theology that justifies denying lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons full expression of their sexuality and the human good of partnering? What might an alternative theology, one informed by the findings of science and the experiences and insights of LGBT people, look like?

The Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Work/Study Group of the 2010 Synod will explore the historical, biological, and psycho/social aspects of human sexuality – with particular emphasis on homosexuality. It will also make recommendations for the adoption of a theology that values and celebrates the lives and relationships of LGBT people.

The abovementioned event took place at Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church, Edina, Minnesota.

  2. and the magisteriums continually making unchallengable laws for believers to be led by is totally against romans declaration that all new testament law is summed up in the 2nd commandment(love your neighbor....)

this is not to mention that scripture is totally without words that condemn homosexuality as a sin. (lev not all prohibitions were of themselves a sin and the fraudulent transposition of homosexual(victorian age) into the epistles, attempts to reinstitute the old covenant relationship to god thru regulation as in deut28, instead of directly to the spirit of the one who lives in each believer.

"you will know them by their fruit"...........the fruit of the spirit that is in their lives.gal5

  3. Scripture does condemn homsexuality as a sin. "Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind: because it is an abomination" Lev 18:22 RHE//"And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts, one towards another: men with men, working that which is filthy and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error." Romans 1:27 RHE//" Fly fornication. Every sin that a man doth is without the body: but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." I Corinthians 6:18 RHE

We do love our homosexual neighbors but detest the sin of sodomy and the unatural use of the body that homosexual practice produces. Fornication is sinful for homosexual and heterosexual a like. This "Jesuit" speaker should be removed from the Church for promoting fundamental evil, unless he repents.
By the Jesus will come to judge us see Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." God Bless You!!

  4. not all prohibitions of lev were of themselves sins

num15: 32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp." 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.

and lev directs those things that under the new covenant are intolerableevils such as slavery.

"take slaves for life from neighboring countries and pass them on as inheritance to your children."lev

This isn't a thread about the moral permissibillity of involuntary relationships like slavery. There are many such arrangements in society not commonly accomodated by the moniker of slavery. But we're talking about "sodomy" here, unfortunately, and all of the equivocation and unauthorized bibilical editing will not change the disordered nature of this pernicious condition.
